LEAGUE RULES:
1] Each week a team must start 12 players consisting of 2 QB's, 4 RB's, 4 WR's, 1 TE, and 1 K. You choose and post your own starting lineups on the league website.
2] A touchdown scored is worth 6 points to the player who scores it regardless of how it is scored. A touchdown pass is worth 3 points to the player who throws it. A 2pt conversion is worth 2 points to the player who scores it. A 2pt conversion pass completed is worth 1 point tot he player who throws it. A Field Goal made is worth 3 points to the player who kicks it. An Extra Point made is worth 1 point to the player who kicks it.
3] A team plays a head-to-head matchup each week against one other team. The team that wins that head-to-head matchup is awarded three ranking points. If the two teams tie in their head-to-head matchup, both teams are awarded 1.5 ranking points for the week.
4] A team is compared to the other five teams in the league each week for points scored. A team is awarded one ranking point for each team that they scored more than in a given week. If two teams have identical scores for the week, they split the ranking points for the two positions that they occupy (e.g. if two teams tie for 2nd and 3rd highest score for the week, they would split the total of 4 and 3 points.) The same holds true if three or four teams have the same score for a given week.
5] The winner of the EFFFL Rolling Rock Championship Trophy is determined by which team finishes week 15 with the greatest number of ranking points. That player also wins $50. The runner up wins $10.
6] The first four teams in the final rankings qualify for the end of season competition for the Greg Goebel Buick Pontiac GMC Fantasy Bowl Trophy and are seeded 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3.
7] Tie-breakers are determined in this order: 1-Total Points Scored during the season 2-Head-to-Head won loss record 3-Head-to-Head points differential 4-coin flip
8] The tie breaker for the Fantasy Bowl Trophy tournament is determined by comparing the highest scoring non-starting players for both team. If the contest remains a tie, then the 2nd highest scoring non-starting players for both teams are compared. If the contest remains a tie, the comparisons continue on down the line. If the contest remains a tie after all reserves have been compared (and one team MAY have more reserves than the other--and if they have a score, then that is the tiebreaker), then the process is followed using the starting players. After that's exhausted, we either shoot one of the contestants or simply flip a coin.
9] Each team must cut down to 23 players before submitting their lineup for week 3 of the season.
10] Each team may utilize a "Dip Back" per week after Week 1 of the season has concluded [addended by vote at 2022 draft] and continuing thru Week 15. A team will have the ability to post their dip back selection on the league website at any time during the week. A player may not be dipped back for and inserted into a team's lineup after THE FIRST GAME OF THE WEEK HAS BEGUN PLAY. Dip back's posted from the time the first game of the week kicks off until the final whistle blows on the weekend's last game are in reverse order of the prior week's standings. Dip backs posted after the final whistle blows on the last game of the weekend are on a first-posted-on-the-site basis. A dip back not used is lost. No dip backs are available until after all week one games have been completed.
Each EFFFL team is alloted a number of selections equal to the number of roster spots they have open below 23. An EFFFL team must declare it's "retainee" list one-week prior to the draft. NO PLAYER OBTAINED VIA DIP BACK PICK DURING THE PRIOR SEASON IS ELIGIBLE TO BE RETAINED BY AN EFFFL FRANCHISE. All dip back players must be exposed to the EFFFL regular draft.
The teams that finish 5th and 6th during the competition for the EFFFL Rolling Rock Championship Trophy will each be awarded a "Sandwich Pick" between rounds 1 & 2 in the reverse order of their finish.
There is a four round "Supplemental" draft following the Regular draft and the order for those selections is determined at random and proceeds in a reciprocating order.
