BYE WEEK SIGNINGS

If you do not have enough players active to field a starting roster, you can pick up a player without charge.  The system will automatically charge your account for this pick-up.  So, if you're picking up a player to fill out a starting line-up, it's important that you send an e-mail to the Commish and Peg Leg so an adjustment to your account can be made.  If you wait until after kick-off of the first game of the week the $5 charge will stay so send your e-mail as soon as you make the pick-up or are awarded the player on waivers.

Historically our league has not allowed teams to sign players simply because they had a player of the same position on a bye. The only exception was teams unable to field a starting line-up. The intent of this rule was to prevent teams from stockpiling players and making them unavailable to teams with injured players or wishing to upgrade their roster. Rules that prevent stockpiling help insure the competitive balance of the league.

Starting last season and going forward, we WILL allow players to be signed to fill in for players on a bye UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

1. The player signed MUST start in the week he is signed.

2. The normal $5 charge for signing a player will apply

3. If the player does not start, your game will be forfeited.

4. If the player does not start he will automatically become a free agent on Tuesday 10:00 AM Pacific time

5. You must make appropriate cuts to bring your roster into compliance before 10:00 AM Pacific time on Tuesday


These rules insure that every team has a chance to start the best possible line-up each week and still prevents signings for the purpose of Stockpiling players.

 

Trades/Cuts

 

 

All rosters shall be cut to league requirments by Tuesday at 10:00 AM Pacific.

To ensure competive balance, all trades need the approval of the Commisioner.

No trades are allowed until after the mandatory roster cut down deadline each week (Tuesday, 10:00 AM Pacific). The intent of this rule is to make sure "extra" players that have been picked up during bye weeks are not stockpiled for trade bait.

Players coming off of IR may be traded the week they are removed from IR.  If not traded, the roster needs to be trimmed to league requirments before the 1st game of the NFL week.

TIE BREAKER PLAYERS

Any player on your roster can be selected as a Tie-Breaker.  This includes starting players.

#1 PICK AWARDED TO WINNER OF TOILET BOWL

The WINNER of the Toilet Bowl will WIN the first pick in the draft. That will give the two teams maximum incentive to win the game rather than be rewarded with the #1 pick for losing.

2020 COVID RELATED RULE CHANGES

  1. We've created a Taxi Squad for legacy players ALREADY ON YOUR ROSTER that have opted out of the season.Note, you can't add a player that has opted out to your roster.
  2. During the season a player missing games due to COVID can be put on the Taxi Squad without taking up one of your 2 I/R spots.
  3. We are also adding a Flex player to the ROSTER but keeping the starting line-up at 8 players. The Flex player can only be a RB, WR, or TE.  If I got site settings right, all it’s going to do is allow you to start 2 TE if you don’t have enough healthy/active RB’s or WR’s to fill your line-up.  You can now start (RB, WR, TE)  2, 2, 1; 3, 1,1; 1, 3, 1; 2, 1, 2, or 1, 2, 2.  The purpose is to give you flexibility if there are late COVID cases while not drastically changing the format/strategy of the league.
  4. The League Payment of $50 as well as other charges for extra players and free agent signings will be suspended until week 4 of the season.  That will give us some idea if the NFL is going to be able to pull this off.

2021 CUT, FREE AGENT, & I/R SCHEDULE

Before Week 1 Games - NO cuts.  You CAN sign Free Agents starting today but have to drop a player to make room. There will be NO I/R until after week 1 games are complete.  With 19 players on each roster I don’t want even more players locked up.

Before Week 2 Games – 2 cuts and I/R open for 2 players.

Before Week 3 Games – 2 cuts.

Before Week 4 Games – 1 cut.

2022

ROSTER MAKE-UP CHANGE

ROSTERS – Historically we required each team to have 3 RB and 3 WR.  This year, while the total at those positions will REMAINS 6, we’ll allow up to 4 players at either position.  In other words, you can have 4 RB’s and 2 WR’s or Vice-Versa or have the traditional 3 RB's and 3 WR's.

BACK-UP QUARTER BACK

if your starting QB is injured in the first half and does not return in the second half, we’ll substitute in your back up QB.  If your back QB happens to be on a Bye, we’ll adjust your score based on the total QB points the team your starter is on scored.  NOTE:  If somehow or other your starter managed to score more points than your back-up, you’ll keep your starters points but not his team total.
