Boats and Ho's is a for fun, and a little bit of money league. Keep the bitching about the league to a minimum, this is not a business and I wont put up with the BS. As a league we can chat and come up with ways to make things better for the overall league. Other than that, trash talk about games is encouraged and will hopefully keep things entertaining.
All owners MUST be actively involved in their team and league transactions. This is to ensure that all teams have an
enjoyable time and the opportunity to achieve greatness. Boats and Ho's WILL
NOT tolerate owners who are not active participants in the league, i.e. (Failure to turn in line-ups, show up to
drafts, doing add/drops if needed, etc.) Missing one week is not perceived as being inactive, but two or more weeks
could be considered as an inactive owner. Upon the event that this happens the Commissioner's office will contact the
owner and see what the problem is as there are times when owners do not have computer access and alos sometimes ion
life shit happens. The Commissioner's office reservers the right to remove an owner from the league in cases of owner
inactivity. In the event that an owner is removed for any reason that owner will forfeit all league fees.
Team Rosters:
• Each team roster will consist of a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 35 players.
• Any undrafted NFL player that has cleared the waivers or is not on another team’s roster is considered a free agent.
Injured Reserve:
• Teams may place a maximum of 3 players on injured reserve at any given time during the season.
• Non-injured players are NOT allowed to be placed on IR. (this is in the interest of competition as IR will not be
used to stack away future players, that is what your normal roster is for) only players listed as "Doubtful", "OUT" or on "IR" are allowed to be put on IR. Questionable is not IR worthy. (Added 2014) Suspensions are not injuries and do not qualify for IR.
The Regular Season:
• Teams have been aligned into two divisions of Five. Each team will play all teams in their division at least twice and the rest of the games are filled automatically by the web site.
• The regular season is 13 weeks long and the playoffs start in week 14.
The Playoffs:
• The playoffs begin on Week 14 of the NFL season.
• The top three teams in each division will make the playoffs and the division winner receives a 1st round bye.
• Week 14 the 2nd and 3rd place teams per division meet each other to see who reaches the conference championship.
• Week 15 the Division winner will play the Wildcard team from the 1st round and the winner advances to the big game.
• Week 16 the two conference champs will play each other head to head in the Fantasy Bowl.
Stacy's Mom Bowl: (added 2014)
• The bottom 2 teams from each division will compete in a playoff for the first pick.
•The team with the worst record will play the team with the 3rd worst record in weeks 14 and 15. SThe same aapplies to teams 2 and 4. The teams with the highest combined score after week 15 will face off in week 16 for the first pick in the following draft.
Tie Breakers:
Tiebreakers for standings and draft position will be determined by
1. Overall record
2. Head to Head Record
3. Division Record
4. Total Points Scored Head to Head
Miscellaneous:
The following rules and restrictions apply to starting lineups, team scoring, trades and all other transactions. These rules are applied in all cases and all situations. The commissioner's office will have final say on any and all controversies.
1. Turn in/update your team’s complete lineup on time every week to the commissioner using either the league website at www.rtsports.com. Time stamps are generated at the end of messages, therefore, give yourself plenty of time to submit lineups. Lineups are due prior to kickoff for that week.
2. For weeks where there are Thursday or Saturday games, starters must be updated by kickoff of their game. The rest of your starters can be changed/updated until the Sunday games kickoff. You cannot bench or start a player that has already played Thursday/Saturday player after that game has taken place.
3. The official statistics for the Boats and Ho's are kept and updated by the RTSports website. The Commissioner's office has no control over any stat or scoring changes that are implemented by the website.
4. Failure to utilize RTSports website will result in action from the Commissioner's office and an owner risks losing their team and being removed from the league if they do not keep up with their team. This will be discussed by owners and the appropriate action will be taken if needed.
5. If a team owner fails to submit a lineup, the previous week’s lineup will be used automatically by the website.
6. Any player started on a bye week will result in that player socring a big fat 0, so pay attention to bye weeks.
Starting Lineup Options:
Starting lineups consist of 15 players in any of the following combinations. No wishbone formations, using three running backs, is allowed.
Pro Style:
QB RB RB WR WR TE K ST DL DL LB LB DB DB +1 Defensive flex player, as well as a Tie Breaker Player
Three Wide Set:
QB RB WR WR WR TE K ST DL DL LB LB DB DB +1 Defensive flex player, as well as a Tie Breaker Player
Two TE Set:
QB RB WR WR TE TE K ST DL DL LB LB DB DB +1 Defensive flex player, as well as a Tie Breaker Player
Run & Shoot:
QB RB WR WR WR WR K ST DL DL LB LB DB DB +1 Defensive flex player, as well as a Tie Breaker Player
TIE BREAKER PLAYER MUST BE A BENCH PLAYER AND CANNOT BE IN YOUR STARTING LINE UP. RTsports does not monitor this and will allow owners to use a starting player as a tie break player. It is the owners responsibility to abide by this rule. If an owner uses a starter as a tie-breaker player, and the tie-break is required, the owner will automatically lose.
Waiver Wire:
1. The Boats and Ho's waiver wire process is on Tuesdays a traditional waiver wire will occur, teams can make a claim and will be awarded from worst to first and each team can make one claim. At 9 AM Wednesday the waiver wire is first come first serve. (Added 2014) waiver wire is open through week 16 for all teams.
2. Once a waiver claim is made by a team owner it cannot be revoked by the Commissioner's office
Trades:
1. All trades must be proposed through the RTSports website, teams can accept/deny/counter all trade offers made. Once a trade is accepted the owners are required to notify the Commissioner’s office via a post on the forums. Keep in mind that the Commissioner's office reserves the right to deny bad trades in the interest of competition. If we think it is a bad trade...it probably is...for real this has never happened, but just in case.
2. Trading may take place anytime except for:
A. The final week leading up to the Draft (no changes made to rosters until draft day)
B. After the regular season trade deadline (no changes can be made until after season's end)
3. The REGULAR SEASON TRADE DEADLINE is game time NFL WEEK 12. After WEEK 12 begins rosters are considered locked and no
trades can take place until the season is over. This does not apply to the waiver wire...so feel free to add/drop players all you want. Since playoffs start Week 14 there will be a buffer week with no trade activity so as not encourage trades that could undermine the playoffs. (Again this has never happened, but just in case)
4. ONE WEEK BEFORE THE DRAFT all owners will be required to cut rosters down to the proper amount leading up to the draft so that everybody can study up for Draft Day with correct owner rosters. (Added 2014) trades can be made up until 5 minutes before the draft starts.
Free Agency: Of the 12 players you get to “Protect” 8 players. Each team will have 4 Free Agents. Free agents will be put in Alphabetical order and given numbers 1-4. 2 numbers will be picked per team and will determine what 2 players are lost to free agency. The 2 players go into a separate pool and are awarded to other teams similar to the NFL. Instead of going into the draft pool each FA would be assigned a random number and each team would be given 2 numbers from 1-20 in snake form same as the draft order. At the conclusion everyone still has 12 players going into the draft. This would happen between the cut down date and the draft
5. All trades are subject to review by the Commissioner's office. We will debate & approve or disapprove based on the situation at hand, talk to the owners involved, and make a decision based on the facts..
6. All trades must work within the guidelines of each team’s roster size.
FYI - You can talk to another owner about a trade during the lockdown periods outlined above. Trades can be made once the season is over. Also, we will ask if there are any trades to be made prior to the start of the Draft after that one week lockdown also.
Franchise Fees:
The franchise fee is (updated 2014) $80.00. This fee includes all transactions for the season whether they be adds/drops or trades that are made as well ahs RTSports website fees.
Earnings:
The breakdown for the Boats and Ho's earnings is based on the money collected at the beginning of the season minus the fees for the website. The earnings will be distributed after the conclusion of the Fantasy Bowl.
Fantasy Bowl Champion - Remaining Balance of Pot
Division A Winner - $160
Division B Winner - $160
Fantasy Bowl loser -$80.00
NFL Weekly picks (added 2014)
In addition to the regular league competition all owners are invited to compete in the weekly picks pool. Fee is $10.00 and the owner with the most correct picks wins the pot. To enter just add 10.00 to your league payment.
***One side note, we are limited in some areas due to the software capabilities of RTSports. They do add new options and other small enhancements most years so we will evolve as they do.***
