Running Back Rank: #13 Overall: #17
It took a few seasons, but Benson finally lived up to his potential last season. He was the Bengals lead back from day one and posted career numbers. He had six 100-yard games and his first 1,000-yard season as a pro. He also averaged a career high 4.2 yards per carry. Benson even missed three games ? two because of a hip injury. His numbers could have been even better. Benson is in the prime of his career (27 years old) and should continue to get a ton of work in a suddenly run-heavy Bengals offense. Benson doesn't have great speed, but runs with power and has good moves for his size. He can also make some pays in the passing game, catching 17 or more passes three straight seasons.

The only thing holding Benson back from elite status last season was his touchdown totals (just six). He should improve on that this year, but probably not enough to make him a top-tier back. Benson is just outside that group, making him a late second round or third round pick. He should get around 1,500 total yards and double-digit scores. |
