Giancarlo Stanton Oct 15 7:23pm ET

New York Yankees OF Mike Tauchman (calf) could be added to the postseason roster if the Yankees need to place OF Giancarlo Stanton (quad) on the injured list. He could also be added to the roster for the World Series if New York is able to beat the Houston Astros in the ALCS, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post. 'He is healthy and eligible,' Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said prior to Game 3 Tuesday, Oct. 15. 'That is why he has been down in Tampa doing all his stuff.'

Gleyber Torres Oct 15 4:10pm ET

New York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres is having a fantastic postseason thus far and will take a five-game playoff hitting streak into Game 3. Torres is 9-for-22 (.409) with two home runs, four doubles, six runs scored and nine runs batted in but will have a tough test in Game 3. Torres and Co. will go up against the Astros starter Gerrit Cole, who has not lost since May 22. While the matchup is tough, Torres will be one of the safer plays in fantasy among Yankees hitters for Game 3 of the ALCS.

Carlos Correa Oct 15 4:00pm ET

Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa will start and hit seventh against the Yankees in Game of the ALCS. Correa was the hero of Game 2, going 2-for-5 with a home run and an extra-innings RBI double to pick up the win for the Astros. It has been a quiet postseason overall for Correa, a player who has battled injuries multiple times this season. He could be in line, however, to do more damage in Game 3 against right-handed starter Luis Severino. Correa posted a .577 slugging percentage this season against right-handed pitching and he has enjoyed past success against Severino.

Aaron Hicks Oct 15 4:00pm ET

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks is getting a rare postseason start and will hit ninth against the Astros and Gerrit Cole in Game 3. Hicks has seen only one at-bat this postseason as teammate Giancarlo Stanton heads to the bench. The move can certainly be described as surprising as Hicks is slashing a dismal .221/.299/.363 at home this season. Furthermore, he is hitting only .218 against right-handed pitching through 142 plate appearances. The Yankees are hoping Hicks provides some left-handed pop from the bottom of their order.

Jose Altuve Oct 15 3:50pm ET

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve has hits in all seven of the teams playoff games this season heading into Game 3. Altuve has an excellent track record of postseason success and it is on full display once again this season. The 29-year-old is 10-for-27 (.370) with two home runs and three doubles, four runs scored and five runs batted in. Altuve's resurgent second half of the season has carried into the playoffs and will be a top fantasy option among Astros hitters for Game 3.

    From RotoBaller

Luis Severino Oct 15 3:40pm ET

New York Yankees starter Luis Severino will take the ball in Game 3 against the Astros in Yankee Stadium. Severino tossed four spotless innings in the ALDS and his stuff looked electric. Severino has missed most of the season due to injury and is not expected to pitch deep into the game. The talented starter pitched against the Astros twice in the 2017 playoffs, both games ending in Astros wins. Severino should feel comfortable out of the gate, however, going 10-2 with a 2.74 ERA pitching at home in 2018.

Gerrit Cole Oct 15 3:30pm ET

Houston Astros starter Gerrit Cole will take his historic run on the mound into Yankee Stadium for Game 3 of the ALCS. Cole set a major league record with 25 strikeouts in the ALDS and has 10-plus strikeouts in 11 straight starts. Cole has not lost since May 22 and is 18-0 during that span. The right-handed hurler has been close to unbeatable, posting 10 or more K's in 24 of his 35 starts, including the playoffs, this season. When Cole is on the mound, it is a must-win situation for the Astros.

Giancarlo Stanton Oct 15 3:20pm ET

New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton will ride the bench to start Game 3 against Gerrit Cole and the Houston Astros. Stanton is 2-for-4 in the series thus far but the Yankees have opted to start Aaron Hicks in his place. It has been a lost season for the slugger but Stanton has come up with some big home runs in the postseason thus far. Even more curious, Stanton is slashing .300/.471/.800 in 10 career at-bats against Cole with one home run and two doubles. Stanton will represent a major threat off the bench in Game 3.

Giancarlo Stanton Oct 14 1:53am ET

New York Yankees OF Giancarlo Stanton (quad) did not play in Game 2 of the ALCS on Sunday, Oct. 13, due to a strained right quad. He was available as a pinch hitter, according to manager Aaron Boone.

Daniel Hudson Oct 13 10:03am ET

Confirming a previous report, Washington Nationals RP Daniel Hudson was activated from the paternity list Saturday, Oct. 11. In a corresponding move, RP Wander Suero was removed from the team's NLCS roster.

Luke Voit Oct 13 9:53am ET

The New York Yankees removed INF/OF Tyler Wade and 1B Luke Voit from their postseason roster Saturday, Oct. 12.

Adam Eaton Oct 12 3:30pm ET

Washington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton will start and hit second against the Cardinals and Adam Wainwright in Game 2. It has been a struggle offensively for Eaton in the postseason but tripled in the Nationals Game 1 win. He is hitting only .167 in the playoffs this season but has an intriguing matchup in Game 2 against Wainwright. It is a small sample size, but Eaton is 6-for-11 (.545) lifetime against the Cardinals right-handed starter, including 3-for-8 with one home run this season. Eaton, at the very least, can be expected to square up a few balls in Game 2.
