Paul Fry Jun 26 2:23pm ET

Baltimore Orioles RP Josh Rogers (elbow) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, June 26, because of a left elbow strain. The team also recalled RP Paul Fry from Class AAA Norfolk.

Corey Kluber Jun 26 2:10pm ET

Cleveland Indians pitcher Corey Kluber has been on the injured list since early May with a non-displaced fracture of the ulna bone in his right arm. He will undergo a series of MRIs this week to be cleared to begin a throwing program. The hopes are that he will be available to the Indians soon after the All-Star break once he starts throwing. Kluber had an uncharacteristic 5.80 ERA before the injury, so we will hope that this layoff can get him back on track.

Yoan Moncada Jun 26 1:43pm ET

Chicago White Sox 2B Yoan Moncada (knee) left the game Wednesday, June 26, after he was hit by a pitch on the right knee.

Yoan Moncada Jun 26 1:20pm ET

Chicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada exited Wednesdays contest in the top of the first inning. Moncada was hit in the knee by Chris Sale and stayed in the game initially. After going from first to third during the teams next at bat, Moncada exited. More should be known on Moncadas status as the day goes on. Infielder Yolmer Sanchez replaced Moncada and will bat second.

Giancarlo Stanton Jun 26 1:13pm ET

New York Yankees OF Giancarlo Stanton (knee) is out of the lineup Wednesday, June 26. There was no update on his knee injury.

Leury Garcia Jun 26 1:13pm ET

Chicago White Sox OF Leury Garcia will move to shortstop in light of SS Tim Anderson's (ankle) injury.

John Means Jun 26 12:53pm ET

Baltimore Orioles RHP John Means (shoulder) will return to start Friday, June 28.

Jake Lamb Jun 26 12:50pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Jake Lamb is playing first base and batting fifth in his return from the injured list Wednesday. Christian Walker sits. Also of note in Arizona's lineup are the absences of Ketel Marte, who sat with a groin injury on Saturday and Sunday, as well as Adam Jones. Lamb will probably have some rust after hitting just .179/.304/.308 at Triple-A Reno during his rehab stint, so should be avoided in DFS. He also struggled last season after strong 2016 and '17 campaigns. Let someone else take the chance on him in deeper mixed leagues.

Tim Anderson Jun 26 12:40pm ET

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (ankle) is headed to the 10-day injured list with a high right ankle sprain. Anderson left Tuesdays contest early and was seen in a walking boot on Wednesday. Its a tough blow for fantasy owners and Anderson is likely to be replaced at shortstop by Leury Garcia. Garcia doesnt do much across the board to warrant an add outside of AL-only leagues.

Francisco Mejia Jun 26 12:20pm ET

San Diego Padres catcher Francisco Mejia is their designated hitter Wednesday for the second game of a road series against the Baltimore Orioles. He is batting sixth. San Diego is showing some trust in the formerly highly-rated prospect, who has struggled as a Major Leaguer but is hitting .313/.353/.563 in 17 plate appearances since his latest call-up, by getting him in the lineup even when not catching. His latest success is nonetheless from a very small sample so it's probably best to avoid Mejia in DFS Wednesday.

Jake Bauers Jun 26 12:00pm ET

Cleveland Indians outfielder Jake Bauers will start in left field and bat sixth on Wednesday, his first start since Saturday. Outfielders Mike Freeman and Jordan Luplow are not in the lineup and Tyler Naquin slides down to ninth in the order. Luplow has not appeared in a game since pinch hitting and playing left field Sunday, but there hasn't been any indication from the team as to why. Bauers, meanwhile, has struggled to a .224/.302/.384 slash line this season making him a fringe player for both standard fantasy and in DFS.

Giancarlo Stanton Jun 26 11:40am ET

While New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton may once again land on the IL, the results are in from his MRI and they're promising. The 29-year-old suffered what the club called a "knee contusion" Tuesday night, but the results from his MRI came back clean, meaning there's no structural damage and there was no swelling Wednesday morning. Regardless, manager Aaron Boone said Stanton's knee was sore and stiff and would be monitored closely the next few hours. Additionally, the slugger will likely make the trip to London for the two-game set against the Red Sox. Ultimately, it appears this isn't as bad as it could've been.

    From RotoBaller

Lucas Duda Jun 26 11:40am ET

Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians. Cheslor Cuthbert moves up to third in the order, where Gordon has typically been since Adalberto Mondesi's injury, while Whit Merrifield makes a rare start in left field in his usual leadoff spot. Lucas Duda makes his first start since Saturday, as the designated hitter batting sixth. Kansas City is facing starting pitcher Trevor Bauer, and Duda could be a good value play in the early slate with the platoon advantage despite batting in the bottom half of the order. Bauer is largely too talented to trust the Royals today, however.

Dinelson Lamet Jun 26 11:30am ET

San Diego Padres starter Dinelson Lamet (elbow) could rejoin the rotation as early as next week. Slated for one more rehab start this weekend as he recovers from Tommy John Surgery, the Padres and the 26-year-old right-hander will have a serious conversation about his return if all goes well. Lamet has posted an ugly 6.16 ERA in five rehab starts but gradually rounded into form. After a rookie campaign in 2017 where he posted a 4.57 ERA and 10.9 K/9 in 21 starts, Lamet was a touted breakout candidate in 2018 before missing the entire season to injury. Its probable his pitch count will be limited and hell be allotted extended rest between starts, but hes worth a speculative fantasy pickup for the upside.

    From RotoBaller

Francisco Mejia Jun 26 11:20am ET

San Diego Padres catcher Francisco Mejia went 2-for-3 with a walk and solo home run in Tuesdays victory against the Baltimore Orioles. The long ball gives Mejia two on the season and hes hitting a crisp .368 (7-for-19) since being recalled from Triple-A on June 18. The 23-year-old former top prospect struggled in his earlier stint with the Friars, but hes raised his OPS from .466 to .649 since the call-up. Encouragingly, Mejia has played nearly every day since returning, seemingly supplanting defense-first backstop Austin Hedges (.195 average). With increased playing time and finally porting his hitting chops to the majors, Mejia is becoming an intriguing rest-of-season fantasy option at a weak position.

    From RotoBaller

Eric Sogard Jun 26 11:20am ET

Toronto Blue Jays second baseman/designated hitter Eric Sogard is out of the lineup for Wednesday's matchup against the New York Yankees. Cavan Biggio plays second base and takes Sogard's usual leadoff spot, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the designated hitter batting second, and Brandon Drury is in at third base batting eighth. Of the three, Guerrero is the best DFS play against left-handed Yankees starter James Paxton. Drury plays most rarely of the trio, and there's a reason for that with his .210/.252/.356 slash line; no DFS value to be had there.
