Leury Garcia Aug 25 5:30pm ET

Chicago White Sox outfielder Leury Garcia (shin) left the game early on Sunday with a left shin contusion and is being listed as day-to-day. X-rays came back negative, so he could be back in the lineup on Tuesday after Monday's off day. Garcia had a single in four plate appearances before his exit. The 28-year-old is hitting .283/.315/.389 with seven home runs, 81 runs scored, 35 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 518 plate appearances. He's settled in as Chicago's center fielder and leadoff man, giving him value in deep mixed leagues in 2019.

Reynaldo Lopez Aug 25 5:30pm ET

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Reynaldo Lopez (flu) left his start early on Sunday against the Rangers after experiencing dehydration and flu-like symptoms. Thankfully for fantasy owners that rolled with him, Lopez allowed no hits in five scoreless innings while walking two and striking out six in the victory. It could've been a quality start as well, but Lopez's owners will take it nonetheless. The young right-hander is now 8-11 on the year with a 5.08 ERA and 8.15 K/9 in 152 1/3 innings over his 27 starts. Lopez has been much better in the second half with a 3.10 ERA and 8.4 K/9 in his eight starts. It remains to be seen if he'll be ready for his next start, but we'd expect him to be out there.

Renato Nunez Aug 25 4:50pm ET

Baltimore Orioles designated hitter Renato Nunez (hamstring) was removed from the game on Sunday with tightness in his hamstring, but manager Brandon Hyde said Nunez should be OK. Consider him day-to-day for now. The 25-year-old Venezuelan is hitting a mediocre .246/.316/.479 but does have 28 home runs, 65 runs and 73 RBI on the season and has upside heading into future seasons. He was able to help those that started him on Sunday before leaving, recording two singles, a double, a run scored and three RBI in four plate appearances. There's a chance he could be ready to rock for the team's next game.

Rhys Hoskins Aug 25 4:30pm ET

Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a loss to the Marlins Sunday. Hoskins had not gone deep since August 3 and has been struggling mightily in the second half. Since the All-Star break, Hoskins is batting .168 with only five home runs. Fantasy owners should continue to trust Hoskins, however, as the slugger has been the victim of a .196 BABIP in the second half even though he's making over 40 percent hard contact. Despite the poor batting average, Hoskins is still taking his walks with a .345 on-base percentage in the second half so things should turn around for him soon. He'll look to carry today's momentum into a matchup with Joe Musgrove and the Pirates Monday.

Aaron Nola Aug 25 4:20pm ET

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola allowed three runs over seven innings Sunday in Miami. Nola struck out seven in the contest and only allowed five hits and a walk but took his fourth loss of the season. Nola has now gone at least seven innings in four of his last five starts with three earned runs or less in all five outings. Nola has been hot in the second half with a sub-4 FIP and a 27.6 percent strikeout rate since the All-Star break. Fantasy owners should continue to trust Nola as a must-start ace in his next start Friday against the Mets.

Kevin Kiermaier Aug 25 3:50pm ET

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (rib cage) left the game early on Sunday with a left rib cage contusion after crashing into the outfield wall. Kiermaier had a single and an RBI in three plate appearances before leaving the contest. He's hitting .242/.284/.423 overall this year with 13 home runs, 52 runs, 53 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 417 plate appearances. Kiermaier's all-out style of play gets him injured frequently, but he's still worth owning for his power/speed combination in mixed leagues. Consider him day-to-day until we know more about his injury.

    From RotoBaller

Michael Chavis Aug 25 3:50pm ET

Boston Red Sox infielder Michael Chavis (shoulder) won't come off the injured list during the team's series against the Rockies in Colorado. The club wants Chavis to get more at-bats on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Pawtucket. Chavis has been out since Aug. 11, but he's nearing a return. The 24-year-old has a slash line of .254/.322/.444 with 18 home runs, 46 runs and 58 RBI in 347 at-bats this year and should return to regular playing time when he's ready. Brock Holt has been hitting well of late and has benefitted from extra playing time with Chavis on the sidelines.

    From RotoBaller

Andrew Benintendi Aug 25 3:40pm ET

Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi (side) is not in the starting lineup on Sunday and is being listed as day-to-day. J.D. Martinez will move over the left field and is hitting cleanup against Padres left-handed starter Joey Lucchesi. It made even more sense to sit Benintendi with the team facing a southpaw. Martinez has been extremely hot in the second half of the season and is hitting .312/.388/.570 with 30 homers, 81 runs and 82 RBI on the season. He should always be in starting lineups when he's in the lineup.
