Josh Rojas Jul 24 12:20pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Asdrubal Cabrera (hamstring) has been activated from the 10-day injured list. He has been out since early June due to a hamstring issue. He'll take the roster spot of Josh Rojas (finger) who lands on the 10-day injured list. It seemed like the D-Backs were just going to hold Rojas out for a few games. He is dealing with a dislocated finger, so he'll miss at least 10 days of action. Cabrera was hitting .240/.332/.385 with five homers before landing on the injured list. He won't be much of an asset in most fantasy formats. Rojas is likely worth holding through the injury because he has been a reliable bat for Arizona this season.

Yusei Kikuchi Jul 24 12:10pm ET

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi got back on track Friday night after two consecutive tough outings, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk in six innings against the Oakland Athletics. He struck out a career-high 12 batters. Kikuchi has recorded a quality start in 12 of his 18 games this year, and now carries a 3.95 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 117 strikeouts in 109 1/3 innings. He's been one of the most consistent starters in the league and deserves to be in fantasy lineups week in and week out.

Josh Rojas Jul 24 12:10pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Josh Rojas (finger) is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs. He'll miss his second straight game due to a dislocated finger. It sounds like Rojas is day-to-day and should avoid a trip to the injured list. Rojas should be able to continue holding solid fantasy value, assuming he doesn't miss significant time. Until then, Josh VanMeter will bat leadoff and cover second base versus righty Alec Mills on Saturday. VanMeter could have some low-end streaming appeal or DFS value in a favorable matchup here.

Kendall Graveman Jul 24 12:10pm ET

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Kendall Graveman has been an ace out of the bullpen all season, and he finally reached the 10-save plateau on Friday against the Oakland Athletics. Graveman allowed one walk and recorded two strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning in the 4-3 Mariners victory. Graveman has a 0.87 ERA and 0.71 WHIP in 31 appearances, earning himself a place on fantasy rosters in all formats despite the underwhelming saves totals.

    From RotoBaller

Kolby Allard Jul 24 12:10pm ET

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Kolby Allard was smacked around during Friday's loss to the Houston Astros. He went four innings, seven hits allowed, seven earned runs in the 7-3 loss. Allard tossed two scoreless frames before completely melting down in the third inning. He has allowed 12 runs over his last two outings. The Rangers will continue to ride with their young starter in a lost season. However, his fantasy value is quickly evaporating with an 4.71 ERA on the year.

Michael Fulmer Jul 24 12:03pm ET

Detroit Tigers RHP Michael Fulmer (spine) will make his next rehab appearance for Class AAA Toledo Sunday, July 25. He could be activated from the injured list shortly thereafter if all goes well.

Josh Rojas Jul 24 12:03pm ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed INF/OF Josh Rojas (finger) on the 10-day injured list Saturday, July 24, due to a dislocated left finger. In a corresponding move, INF Asdrubal Cabrera (hamstring) was activated from the injured list.

Kris Bryant Jul 24 12:00pm ET

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant (hamstring) made his return to the starting lineup on Friday. He missed some time prior to that due to a minor hamstring issue. He'll play left field and bat second versus righty Merrill Kelly on Saturday. Bryant has been the target to plenty of trade rumors over the last few weeks. That isn't going to stop with the deadline less than a week away. His fantasy value is unlikely to change much, assuming he does get traded. He is certainly worth a look as a DFS option for Saturday's contest.

Darien Nunez Jul 24 11:53am ET

The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled RHP Brusdar Graterol and LHP Darien Nunez from Class AAA Oklahoma City Friday, July 23. In a corresponding move, LHP Garrett Cleavinger was optioned to Oklahoma City.

Carson Kelly Jul 24 11:50am ET

Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Carson Kelly (wrist) began his rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Thursday. He suffered a fractured wrist in mid-June from a hit by pitch. Prior to the injury, Kelly was hitting .260/.385/.460 with eight home runs, 26 RBI. He'll likely need a few weeks to get back into his groove at the plate. Kelly is certainly worth stashing in plenty of fantasy formats. The hope is that he'll resume being the starting catcher within the next few weeks.

Craig Stammen Jul 24 11:40am ET

San Diego Padres relief pitcher Craig Stammen (personal) has been activated off the paternity list following a short stint away from the team. He ended up missing three games, but is back as a main piece in the Padres bullpen. Stammen is posting a 2.78 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 52/8 K/BB ratio across 55 innings this season. He doesn't have a ton of fantasy upside, but is certainly an asset in formats where relievers are valuable. Left-hander Daniel Camarena has been optioned to the minors in a corresponding move.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Wells Jul 24 11:40am ET

Baltimore Orioles pitcher Tyler Wells (wrist) has been placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive July 20. The 26-year-old has been a nice pickup has a Rule 5 selection for the Orioles. He is posting a 3.92 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 55/9 K/BB ratio across 43 2/3 innings in 29 relief appearances. Wells is dealing with left wrist tendinitis, so it's uncertain what kind of timetable he's looking at right now. Regardless, Wells won't be an asset in most fantasy formats. Possibly, only formats that heavily rely on relievers.

    From RotoBaller

Nick Anderson Jul 24 11:30am ET

Tampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Nick Anderson (elbow) looked sharp during his rehab appearance on Friday. He threw one scoreless inning with a pair of strikeouts at the Rays' Florida Complex League affiliate. The veteran righty has been sidelined all season due to a partially torn UCL. The hope is that Anderson can return to the big league bullpen within the next few weeks. Although, the organization has not given an exact timetable for Anderson. He could be worth stashing in fantasy formats where saves and holds are important, but won't be helpful outside of that.

    From RotoBaller

Jon Berti Jul 24 11:30am ET

Miami Marlins infielder Jon Berti (head) was forced to exit early during Thursday's contest. He was hit in the back of the head and was removed for precautionary reasons. Since then, Berti has been diagnosed with a concussion and placed on the 7-day injured list. In a corresponding move, the Marlins recalled Deven Marrero from Triple-A. He doesn't offer much upside with the bat. Neither does Berti, but at least his speed can be an asset in possibly deep category leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Pete Alonso Jul 24 11:20am ET

New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso provided all the offense Friday, homering twice and driving in three runs in four at-bats against the Toronto Blue Jays. The two home runs, his 20th and 21st of the season, came off of starter Steven Matz and reliever Ryan Borucki. Alonso has been excellent over his last 30 games, slashing .288/.347/.622 with 11 homers and 22 RBI in that span. He now has an .849 OPS with 45 runs and 56 RBI on the season, delivering on the promise that led him to be a top draft choice for fantasy managers this spring.

    From RotoBaller

Edwin Diaz Jul 24 11:20am ET

New York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Diaz came through against the Toronto Blue Jays Friday night, setting down the opposition in order with one strikeout to earn his 20th save of the season. The strong outing is a relief for both Mets fans and fantasy managers, who saw Diaz allow runs in each of his last three appearances. Before that streak, Diaz had an ERA and WHIP of 2.86 and 1.07. He now has a 4.19 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 55 strikeouts in 38 2/3 innings for the year, and fantasy managers have little choice but to hope he avoid furthers blowups.

    From RotoBaller

Tylor Megill Jul 24 11:10am ET

New York Mets starting pitcher Tylor Megill was excellent once again Friday night, throwing six innings of shutout ball on two hits and one walk to earn his first career win in a 3-0 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. He struck out five batters, and now has 33 strikeouts in 30 innings to go with a 2.10 ERA and 1.10 WHIP this year. Megill has been a revelation in his six starts and looks to be a solid fantasy play going forward for as long as he keeps his spot in the rotation. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on who the Mets pick up at the trade deadline.
