Cody Bellinger Sep 24 2:43am ET

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Cody Bellinger (rib) could start swinging a bat as early as Saturday, Sept. 25, as he works his way back from a fractured left rib.

Chris Taylor Sep 24 2:43am ET

Los Angeles Dodgers INF/OF Chris Taylor (neck) was not in the starting lineup for a second straight game on Thursday, Sept. 23, due to a sore neck, but he did appear as a pinch hitter.

Charlie Morton Sep 24 12:20am ET

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Charlie Morton has unfortunately not received much run support whenever he is on the mound. He's gotten a no-decision or a loss in nine of his 18 quality starts. On Thursday, Morton went six innings, five hits allowed, three earned runs, two walks, and eight strikeouts in the 6-4 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Morton exited after giving up one run, but left two base runners on that eventually scored and were charged to him. Despite having some tough luck, Morton is posting a 3.53 ERA and is a solid streaming option and DFS choice whenever he takes the mound.

Austin Riley Sep 24 12:20am ET

Atlanta Braves outfielder Austin Riley has been on quite a hot streak lately. On Thursday, he went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in what ended up being a 6-4 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Riley finished that four game series going 7-for-17 with three doubles, three homers and eight RBI. He now has 32 home runs on the season and is three runs batted in away from the century mark. There is a good chance that he'll hit 100 RBI before the season ends.

Adam Wainwright Sep 24 12:10am ET

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright had a rare bad start in Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals eventually ended up winning their 12th game in a row, but Wainwright lasted just four innings, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks. He only struck out one and allowed two home runs. He ended up with a no decision, but saw his ERA rise to 3.05.

Glenn Otto Sep 24 12:10am ET

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Glenn Otto bounced back nicely on Thursday after giving up seven runs during his previous start. This time around, Otto went five innings, five hits allowed, two earned runs, one walk, and seven strikeouts in the 3-0 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. The 25-year-old has an ugly 8.02 ERA through five starts, but it was really because of one bad outing. The Rangers are expected to ride with Otto through the rest of the regular season. It's uncertain if he'll be a lock for the rotation next season, but he'll remain off the fantasy radar for now.

Paul Goldschmidt Sep 24 12:00am ET

St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt had an excellent day at the plate in Thursday's win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Leading the Cardinals to their 12th win in a row, "Goldy" went 3-for-5 with two home runs and a single. He scored twice and drove in three runs. Goldschmidt is batting .291 with an .870 OPS, 29 home runs, and 93 RBI. He's been a consistent source of offense throughout the season for the Cardinals and for his fantasy managers.

Teoscar Hernandez Sep 23 11:20pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez slugged his 30th home run of the season on Thursday as his club fell to the Twins 7-2. He took Michael Pineda deep to left field on the first pitch of the fourth inning for a solo shot as he also doubled and scored another run, finishing the day going 2-for-4. Hernandez is having one of the better second halves in all the majors to now give him 88 runs, 110 RBI, 11 SB, and a .303 BA through 134 games on the campaign. Managers can continue to trust the right-handed slugger the rest of the way as we close in on season's end.

Raimel Tapia Sep 23 11:10pm ET

Colorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in a 7-5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday. Tapia's only hit was an impressive one as he turned on a Max Scherzer offering with Kyle Freeland aboard in the fifth inning. The result was a two-run homer to right field that gave the Rockies a 5-3 advantage. The lead wouldn't last and it was Tapia's only hit of the ball game. The 27-year-old was on his way to a stellar season before a big toe injury in early August sidelined him for three weeks. He's struggled to get things going since his activation from the IL and now owns a .272/.327/.372 batting line with six home runs, 49 RBI, and 20 stolen bases over 452 at-bats.

Trevor Story Sep 23 11:10pm ET

Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story went 1-for-4 with a single, a walk, and a run scored in a 7-5 loss to the Dodgers on Thursday. Story was able to reach twice in the back-and-forth contest with a single and a walk. He didn't provide any extra-base hits, however, and only scored one run. It's been of the quieter seasons of Story's career thus far with just 23 home runs, 73 RBI, and 19 stolen bases. If the season were to end today the home runs would be a career-low for the 28-year-old shortstop. He's also slashing a subpar .249/.327/.474 across 498 at-bats.
