Austin Gomber Jun 19 11:23pm ET

Updating a previous report, Colorado Rockies LHP Austin Gomber (forearm) exited his start against the Milwaukee Brewers with left forearm tightness Saturday, June 19.

Fernando Tatis Jr. Jun 19 11:23pm ET

Updating a previous report, San Diego Padres SS Fernando Tatis Jr. (shoulder) did not suffer a serious shoulder injury against the Cincinnati Reds Saturday, June 19, and is considered day-to-day, according to manager Jayce Tingler.

Carlos Correa Jun 19 11:10pm ET

Houston Astros Carlos Correa went 1-for-3 with a home run Saturday as his club defeated the Chicago White Sox 7-3. The shortstop has rounded the bases 13 times and has 38 RBI in 2021. Correa has been on a tear lately, with 13 hits in the last ten contests. If one is lucky to have Correa in their fantasy lineup, expect big things from him for the rest of the season and beyond.

Jose Ruiz Jun 19 11:03pm ET

Chicago White Sox RHP Jose Ruiz (knee) exited against the Houston Astros with discomfort in his right knee Saturday, June 19.

Lance Lynn Jun 19 10:50pm ET

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn struggled in Saturday's loss versus the Houston Astros. Lynn has been excellent this season, but allowed seven hits, six runs (five earned), one walk and struck out six over four innings this evening against a tough Astros offense. Even with the rough performance, Lynn still owns an impressive 2.02 ERA and is now 7-3. Lynn will look to get back in the win column versus the Seattle Mariners in a favorable matchup on Saturday.

Austin Gomber Jun 19 10:50pm ET

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Austin Gomber exited Saturday's contest after two frames with an undisclosed injury. During his short outing, he gave up four hits and two runs against Milwaukee. Before going into Saturday's game, the 27-year-old had six wins and eight losses with a 3.54 ERA. This potential setback could be a big blow to Colorado and fantasy gamers who have Gomber in their lineup since he was 3-0 in June before today's game.

Whit Merrifield Jun 19 10:40pm ET

Kansas City Royals speedster Whit Merrifield went 1-for-3 with a walk and three stolen bases in a loss to the Red Sox Saturday. Merrifield already has swiped 20 bags in 2021. The 32-year-old veteran is batting .272 with five home runs, 38 RBI, and 41 runs scored. He leads the whole major league in stolen bases and is tenth in hits in the American League. Hopefully, for fantasy managers who have Merrifield rostered, he will continue his torrid pace on the base path and at the plate.

Cody Bellinger Jun 19 10:30pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger (hamstring) played in a simulated game on Saturday. Max Muncy (oblique) also played in a simulated game on Saturday. The theme of Bellinger's season has been injuries as he's only recorded 71 plate appearances with a .226 batting average, one home run, 12 runs, and 10 RBI. His appearance in the simulated game this weekend is a step in the right direction towards being activated next week. Fantasy managers need Bellinger healthy and he's a must-start player once he's back in the lineup. He's just two years removed from posting a 162 wRC+ and being one of the top hitters in Major League Baseball.

Willie Calhoun Jun 19 10:20pm ET

Texas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun went 0-for-4 against the Minnesota Twins Saturday. Calhoun left stranded two baserunners and struck out once. The 26-year-old carries a.243 batting average to go along with 18 walks and 26 strikeouts. However, he has five home runs and five RBI. At home, the Rangers outfielder is hitting well, posting a .287 batting average. If he can start producing offensively on the road, Calhoun would be an excellent addition to a fantasy lineup.

Austin Gomber Jun 19 10:13pm ET

Colorado Rockies LHP Austin Gomber (undisclosed) was pulled from his start against the Milwaukee Brewers with an undisclosed injury Saturday, June 19.

Justin Dunn Jun 19 10:10pm ET

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Justin Dunn (shoulder) was diagnosed with a muscle strain in his right shoulder. Dunn recently landed on the 10-day injured list after exiting Thursday's matchup against Tampa Bay and will now be shut down for two weeks, with no throwing during that span. He will be re-evaluated after that, but fantasy managers could be without him for a while. Robert Dugger was called up to take his place in the rotation, although he isn't worth much from a fantasy perspective.

    From RotoBaller

Fernando Tatis Jr. Jun 19 9:53pm ET

San Diego Padres SS Fernando Tatis Jr. (shoulder) exited against the Cincinnati Reds after injuring his left shoulder while diving for a ball Saturday, June 19.

Niko Goodrum Jun 19 9:50pm ET

Detroit Tigers infielder Niko Goodrum (finger) landed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday. The 29-year-old left Friday's game against the Angels after spraining his left index finger while diving for a ball. Isaac Paredes was recalled from Triple-A and should take over moving ahead until Goodrum can return. Paredes has bounced back and forth between Toledo and the big club but hasn't impressed, currently batting .143 throughout 24 plate appearances this season. He isn't worth a fantasy spot in anything outside of dynasty formats at the moment.

    From RotoBaller

Chris Sale Jun 19 9:40pm ET

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (elbow) is anticipated to throw in bullpen sessions on Tuesday and Friday. More good news for the southpaw, who recently faced batters in Worcester on Friday. The veteran continues to work his way back from Tommy John surgery, and as long as he continues to move in the right direction, it seems reasonable that he will start a rehab assignment sometime soon, maybe even before the end of June.

    From RotoBaller

Fernando Tatis Jr. Jun 19 9:30pm ET

San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (shoulder) left Saturday's matchup against Cincinnati. The 22-year-old appeared to suffer a left shoulder injury diving for a ball, and Ha-Seong Kim subsequently replaced him as a result. More information on Tatis' status moving ahead should be coming soon. However, he may not be available for the series finale against the Reds on Sunday.

    From RotoBaller

John Means Jun 19 9:20pm ET

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means (shoulder) has not begun throwing off a mound. Although he was recently spotted playing catch, he still has a way to go after suffering a left shoulder strain back on June 6. The 28-year-old has a 2.28 ERA and a 4-2 record throughout 12 starts this season. Hopefully, he will soon progress in his rehab efforts, but fantasy managers will need to wait a bit longer before seeing the ace back on the hill.

    From RotoBaller

Billy Hamilton Jun 19 9:10pm ET

Chicago White Sox outfielder Billy Hamilton (oblique) has suffered a setback and will now scale back his rehab efforts. The 30-year-old has been out the last few weeks because of a right oblique strain, but it now appears as if the veteran could be out longer than expected with this latest obstacle. Hamilton has played sparingly over the last few years and is a long way away from his glory days in Cincinnati, where he compiled 277 stolen bases throughout six seasons as a Red. He is worth a stash for those managers hoping for some output on the base path when he returns. However, based on his production over the last five seasons, it doesn't appear that he will deliver.

    From RotoBaller

John King Jun 19 9:00pm ET

Texas Rangers pitcher John King may be getting promoted. With some of the team's staff struggling, the veteran could be tasked with taking on a more prominent role within the rotation. King pitched three innings on Saturday, and it appears as if skipper Chris Woodward could be building him up for more work moving ahead. The 26-year-old has a 5-5 record but is currently sitting on an acceptable 2.41 ERA throughout 37 innings this season. Fantasy managers in deeper formats where pitching may be more scarce should surely keep him in mind over the weeks ahead.

    From RotoBaller

Harold Castro Jun 19 8:50pm ET

Detroit Tigers shortstop Harold Castro will start on Saturday evening against the Angels, batting last. With Niko Goodrum (finger) recently landing on the injured list because of a sprained left index digit, Isaac Paredes was called up from Triple-A Toledo. However, Paredes' flight was delayed, making him unavailable to take on southpaw Patrick Sandoval. Instead, Castro will now handle duties at short, but with a miserable .143 average against left-handed tossers this season, fantasy managers in all formats should stay right away from him.

    From RotoBaller

Isaac Paredes Jun 19 8:40pm ET

Detroit Tigers shortstop Isaac Paredes will not play on Saturday against the Angels. The 22-year-old was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Saturday, but his flight was delayed, which makes him unavailable to take over for Niko Goodrum (finger), who recently landed on the injured list with a sprained left index finger. Paredes should be ready to go on Sunday for the series finale. However, in the meantime, Harold Castro will get the start at short and bat last against southpaw Patrick Sandoval, with the Castro sporting a .143 average against left-handed pitchers this season.
