Joakim Soria Jul 30 4:20pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Joakim Soria has been traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for two players to be named later, according to Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic. Soria has had decent value with Arizona this year, going 1-4 with six saves, a 4.30 ERA, 1.330 WHIP and 24.8 percent strikeout rate over 29 1/3 innings of work. He'll figure to be a middle-relief option for the Blue Jays, making him really only an option in SV/HLD formats. With Soria leaving Arizona, Tyler Clippard is now likely next in line for the closer's job for the Diamondbacks.

Trevor Story Jul 30 4:20pm ET

Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story will remain with the team with the trade deadline having passed, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB Network. Feinsand adds that the team intends to make a qualifying offer to Story after the season, and will collect a compensatory draft pick if he signs elsewhere. So after much speculation heading into today, the Rockies will hang onto both Story and starting pitcher Jon Gray after all. Their value through the rest of the year will remain unchanged in fantasy.

Andrew Heaney Jul 30 4:10pm ET

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney has been traded to the New York Yankees, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. There's no word yet on the return, but Heaney should provide some depth to New York's rotation after going 6-7 with a 5.27 ERA, 1.309 WHIP and 28.2 percent strikeout rate over 18 starts. He could see a slight boost in value heading to New York, but with a 4.22 xERA there aren't any signs of a huge turnaround in the second half of the season.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. Jul 30 4:01pm ET

Miami Marlins infielder Jazz Chisholm (shoulder) expects to be activated from the injured list and play in Friday's game against the Yankees. Chisholm hasn't played since July 18 and will return to a .251/.317/.437 line. He took live batting practice earlier in the week and manager Don Mattingly said Chisholm might be able to skip a rehab assignment, and it looks like that's exactly what will happen. Before getting hurt, Jazz was hitting either first or fifth in the Marlins lineup and playing second base.

Myles Straw Jul 30 4:01pm ET

Houston Astros outfielder Myles Straw has been traded to the Cleveland Indians for relief pitcher Phil Maton, according to Mark Berman of FOX26. Straw has been a solid source of speed this season, swiping 17 bases while slashing .262/.339/.326 with two homers, 34 RBI and 44 runs scored over 98 games. Meanwhile, Houston will get a solid boost to their bullpen in Maton, who is 2-0 with a 4.57 ERA, 1.355 WHIP and 34.3 percent strikeout rate over 41 1/3 innings of work. Maton should see a boost in value in SV/HLD formats, while Straw could see a slight downgrade in value playing in a worse lineup in Cleveland. This move also boosts the value of Chas McCormick, who should figure to take over the starting job in center field in Houston.

Kris Bryant Jul 30 4:01pm ET

Chicago Cubs third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant has been traded to the San Francisco Giants, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. There's no word yet on the return, but this marks the final domino to fall in the Cubs' deadline sell-off. Bryant is slashing .267/.358/.503 with 18 homers, five steals, 51 RBI and 58 runs scored over 93 games this year. He should figure to get regular playing time between third base and outfield in San Francisco.
