Triple Play Fantasy Baseball

The Game

RealTime Fantasy Sports' Triple Play Fantasy Baseball ("the Contest") is a weekly head-to-head fantasy baseball game where you may start your own 10-team league or join an existing public league. Leagues feature point style scoring with all teams competing for the league championship. Leagues are open to all players of all skill levels. You may choose the league that fits you best. The rules for this Contest are described below.

The Commissioner

RealTime Fantasy Sports will serve as the commissioner for all fantasy baseball leagues and will be responsible for resolving any disputes that arise, such as rules violations or any other matters that may come up in connection with the Contest. All commissioner decisions by RealTime Fantasy Sports are final.

Leagues

Sign Up

You may sign up and play the Contest up until the registration deadline. You may play "Triple Play Fantasy Baseball" at any of three levels, $20, $50 or $100 per team. As part of the Official Rules, all dollar amounts are in US Dollars (USD). You may register and play as many teams as you like. You may not have more than one team in any league. If you do register more than one team, each team must be in a different league. To be prize eligible you may not own more than one team per league per household.

Joining Deadline

In order for a league's season to start with the first week of the major league baseball season, the draft must be started by 11:59 pm ET on March 27, 2019. For drafts held on or after March 28, 2019 the leagues' start date will be the first Monday after the draft.

Refund Policy

After you sign up for the Contest, you may request a full refund of the purchase price up until your league is filled and the draft order is set. After the draft order is set you may not receive a refund. Once the draft order is set all sales are final. Honoring refund requests will be subject to the sole discretion of RealTime Fantasy Sports.

Once you join a fantasy league you will have the option to switch to another league up until the league is filled and the draft order is set or up until 30 minutes prior to the scheduled draft time. After the draft order is set or if it is less than 30 minutes before the scheduled draft time you will not be allowed to switch to another league.

Eligibility

RealTime Fantasy Sports fantasy contest are open to:

  • Legal residents of one of the fifty (50) United States (excluding residents of Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, Virginia, and Washington) or legal residents of Washington D.C. and Canada (excluding Quebec).
  • Persons physically located in Tennessee or Delaware are expressly excluded.
  • Puerto Rico is expressly excluded.
  • All participants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older at the date of registration in the Contest. Except in Alabama and Nebraska where you must be nineteen (19) years of age or older and Massachusetts where you must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • Void where prohibited.

Should state or province law change during the registration period for the Contest, RealTime Fantasy Sports may suspend new contest registrations from that state or province beginning after the effective or enforcement date of the law. The RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to other remedies and actions as required by law.

Prohibited Participants

  • Any member, officer, employee or agent of RealTime Fantasy Sports Inc.
  • Any spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing as a member of the same household in the pricipal place of abode of member, officer, employee or agent of RealTime Fantasy Sports Inc.
  • Any owner or employee of an operator of a fantasy sports website offering paid contests, or any spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing as a member of the same household in the principal place of abode of such an owner or employee.
  • Any individual with access to non-public confidential information about contests of RealTime Fantasy Sports Inc.
  • Any amateur or professional athlete whose performance may be used to determine the outcome of a contest.
  • Any sports agent, team employee, referee, or league official associated with any sport or athletic event on which contests are based.
  • Any minor.

Deposits by Minors

Persuant to state law, deposits made by a minor will be refunded within no more than two business days of discovery of such deposits.

League Prizes

Leagues with $250 per Team Entry Fee

The Winner in each "Triple Play Baseball" league at the $250 per team level will receive a prize of $1,500.
The 2nd Place finisher in each "Triple Play Fantasy Baseball" league at the $250 per team level will receive a prize of $750.

Leagues with $125 per Team Entry Fee

The Winner in each "Triple Play Baseball" league at the $125 per team level will receive a prize of $750.
The 2nd Place finisher in each "Triple Play Fantasy Baseball" league at the $125 per team level will receive a prize of $350.

Leagues with $100 per Team Entry Fee

The Winner in each "Triple Play Fantasy Baseball" league at the $100 per team level will receive a prize of $600.
The 2nd Place finisher in each "Triple Play Fantasy Baseball" league at the $100 per team level will receive a prize of $300.

Leagues with $50 per Team Entry Fee

The Winner in each "Triple Play Fantasy Baseball" league at the $50 per team level will receive a prize of $300.
The 2nd Place finisher in each "Triple Play Fantasy Baseball" league at the $50 per team level will receive a prize of $125.

Leagues with $20 per Team Entry Fee

The Winner in each "Triple Play Fantasy Baseball" league at the $20 per team level will receive a prize of $100.
The 2nd Place finisher in each "Triple Play Fantasy Baseball" league at the $20 per team level will receive a prize of $50.

Prizes will be awarded to one individual per team. All prizes are non-transferable.

Draft

Leagues designated "Draft" will use a traditional draft process to establish initial team rosters.

After the required 10th team has joined the league, the league will be locked in and the draft order will be randomly generated. At this time all teams will be notified via email the league is locked in and the draft order has been randomly generated. If your league does not have the required 10 teams, the league will be disbanded prior to the scheduled draft date and time. If your league is disbanded you will be able to join another league or create a new league. RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to move the scheduled draft time back up to 1 hour to give the league sufficient time to fill with the required 10 teams.

The draft will be an S-style draft with the team picking last in the first round picking first in the second round and so on. For example:

  • Round 1: Team1, Team2, Team3, Team4, Team5, Team6, Team7, Team8, Team9, Team10
  • Round 2: Team10, Team9, Team8, Team7, Team6, Team5, Team4, Team3, Team2, Team1
  • Round 3: Team1, Team2, Team3, Team4, Team5, Team6, Team7, Team8, Team9, Team10
  • Round 4: Team10, Team9, Team8, Team7, Team6, Team5, Team4, Team3, Team2, Team1

In normal drafts each team will have 90 seconds per pick to draft a player.

If the league is designated to have a "slow" draft, each team will have between 2 and 8 hours to draft a player. Any "slow" drafts starting after March 1 will have fewer hours to draft a player. In a "slow" draft the draft will pause between the hours of 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. ET, however, picks can still be made during the pause time. In addition, an email notification will be sent to all team owners after each pick. RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to reduce the draft time for each team in the final week before the start of the first game of the season.

There will be 21 rounds to each draft. If a team leaves the draft room before completion of all their picks, the system will automatically draft players to complete their roster.

After joining or creating a fantasy baseball league, each team owner will have the opportunity to customize their draft cheatsheet ranking of players. Team owners may customize their draft cheatsheet at any time. If a team does not customize their cheatsheet the default RealTime Fantasy Sports rankings, as published at the time of the draft, will be used by the system.

During the live draft a team's cheatsheet will be used as a fail-safe backup in the event the draft clock expires before the team makes a pick. Should a team fail to make a pick in the time allowed, the system will automatically draft a player for the team. The player will be the top ranked player available player on the team's draft cheatsheet. Players drafted automatically will be drafted in a manner that will complete a team's starting lineup before the end of the draft. Should the draft clock expire on a team in two consecutive rounds, the system will set the team to auto-draft until disabled by a team owner.

Auction

Leagues designated "Auction" will use a live bidding auction style draft to establish initial team rosters. Each team will have an auction budget of $260.

After the required 10th team has joined the league, the league will be locked in and the auction nomination order will be randomly generated. At this time all teams will be notified via email the league is locked and the auction nomination order has been randomly generated. If your league does not have the required 10 teams, the league will be disbanded prior to the scheduled auction date and time. If your league is disbanded you will be able to join another league or create a new league. RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to move the scheduled auction time back up to 1 hour to give the league sufficient time to fill with the required 10 teams.

When the auction begins each team, in nomination order, will have 20 seconds to nominate the next player for bidding. Once a player has been nominated all team owners will have 20 seconds to submit bids for the nominated player. All bids will be shown to all teams. Team owners may submit unlimited bids on any player as long as each bid is at least $1 more than the current highest bid. If a new highest bid is received in the last 8 seconds of the auction, the auction clock for the player will be reset to 12 seconds to allow all teams a chance to submit a higher bid. Once the auction clock for the player expires, the player will be awarded to the team with the highest bid.

Bids will be honored if received by the system before the expiration of the auction countdown clock. It takes time for a team owner's computer to transmit bids from their location to the system computers. If a bid is submitted at the last second, it may not be received before the auction countdown clock expires. Bids received after the auction clock expires will not be honored.

During the auction if system suspects a team owner is not present, the system will automatically submit bids in an attempt to build a roster for the absent team owner.

Team owners may familiarize themselves with the auction room via RealTime Fantasy Sports' free mock drafting. Team owners are encouraged to mock auction before their draft.

Teams

Player Pools

Contest leagues will have one of three different player pools, NL-Only, AL-Only, and Mixed (meaning players from both leagues). When a league is created, the creator will declare the player pool for that league. Once a league is created the player pool for that league cannot be changed. When leagues are advertised the player pool of each league will be advertised with the league. Team owners are free to join a league with any player pool they wish.

Position Eligibility

Prior to the draft, all players eligible to be drafted will be published in the official player eligibility list. The list will identifying each players' qualifying positions as of the start of the season. The position eligibility on that list will be based on the following criteria and is considered final:

  • Position players (non-pitchers) qualify at any position at which they appeared at least 20 times in the major leagues in the preceding season. If a player did not appear in 20 games at any position, or did not appear the prior season in the majors at all, he qualifies at his primary position as determined by our stats provider or as assigned by RealTime Fantasy Sports. If a player sat out the previous year for any reason, his eligibility will be determined by his primary position as set by our stats provider or as assigned by RealTime Fantasy Sports.
  • Position players who play 20 games at a new position in the current season will be eligible at that position after they have played there for the 20th time during the current MLB regular season.
  • Designated Hitter is considered a position. A player who only qualifies as a DH may only be assigned to the Utility Player position.
  • Players automatically qualify at the Starting Pitcher position with 3 or more starts from the previous or current year in the majors. Players automatically qualify at the Relief Pitcher position with 5 or more relief appearances from the previous or current year in the majors. Any other players whose primary position is Starting Pitcher or Relief Pitcher as assigned by RealTime Fantasy Sports will become eligible as Pitchers as soon as they are on an active major league roster.
  • Final player eligibility designation is at the sole discretion of RealTime Fantasy Sports.

Roster Composition

Each team will consist of a roster of 21 players. Team owners are free to choose the player position mix of the players on their roster. There are no restrictions on the number of players at any position that may be on a team's roster. Owners are not required to have a minimum number of players at any position on their roster. For example an owner could choose not to have a third baseman on their roster.

Weekly Lineups

The Contest uses a single starting lineup for each team per week. A week runs from Monday's games through Sunday's games (the exception is MLB Week 1 when it runs from Thursday to Sunday). Team owners may start or bench a player for the current week up until the beginning of the first game for that player that week. After that time that player is locked and cannot be started or benched. In addition, lineup changes are allowed one week in advance.

Each team's starting lineup will consist of a maximum of:

  • 16 Total Starters
  • 1 Catcher
  • 1 First Baseman
  • 1 Second Baseman
  • 1 Third Baseman
  • 1 Shortstop
  • 3 Outfielders
  • 1 Utility Player (any hitter)
  • 5 Starting Pitchers
  • 2 Relief Pitchers
Free Agents

Waiver Wire

Free agents will be awarded using a prioritized waiver wire system. Team owners may select free agents they wish to acquire for the next week via the waiver wire beginning each Monday morning of the season. Waiver wire award order will be worst to first by each team's position in the previous week overall standings. If two or more teams are tied in the standings the team with the lowest number of total points scored at the time of the waiver wire will be awarded the player first. If two or more teams are still tied, the team with the worst head-to-head record against the other tied teams will be awarded the player first. The order for the Week 1 waiver wire will be reverse draft/nomination order.

Beginning with the worst team in the league, each team owner will be awarded a single player. After each team in the league has been awarded a maximum of one player, the process will repeat beginning with the worst team in the league. This process will repeat until all player requests have been evaluated. If a team makes no player request, that team will not be awarded any players.

Player requests must be submitted by 11:59pm ET on Sunday of each week of the season. Player awards will be shortly after.

For leagues starting in MLB Week 1, if your league draft finishes before Sunday March 24, 2019 you will have a preseason waiver wire on Sunday March 24, 2019. The deadline for player requests will be Sunday March 24, 2019 at 11:59 pm ET. If your league draft finishes on or after March 24, 2019 you will not have a preseason waiver wire period. If a league has a preseason waiver wire, the order of that waiver wire will be reverse draft/nomination order.

After the preseason waiver wire completes, only players listed as active by our stats provider or previously active and now on the DL will be available as free agents.

Unrestricted Free Agent Period

After the waiver wire completes, an unrestricted free agent period will open at 9:00am ET on Monday and will close when the first game starts that week or Monday at 11:59pm ET which ever comes first.

Protected Free Agents

Any player released via the waiver wire or via the unrestricted free agent period will be a protected free agent until the next waiver wire.

In a further effort to prevent collusion or unfair competition, if players drafted in the first 5 rounds of the league's draft or won for $15 or more at the league's auction are released they will become unavailable and declared protected free agents for the duration of the season. Team owners will be allowed to replace those players, but no team owner will be allowed to re-acquire the dropped players as free agents. RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to add any player to the list of players that will become protected free agents for the duration of the season for any reason.

Additionally, any players dropped in the final 2 weeks of the regular season and during the league playoffs will become protected free agents for the duration of the season. Team owners will still be allowed to drop and replace players, but no team owner will be allowed to re-acquire any of these dropped players as free agents.

Trades

Not all leagues have trading, these rules only apply to those advertised as trading leagues.

Trade Approvals

In an effort to prevent collusion among owners, a trade approval process is used. After a trade is agreed upon, it will be in pending status for up to 24 hours. The system will automatically invoke its Trade Fair technology to review and evaluate the trade to ensure it is reasonable and fair. If Trade Fair rates the trade as acceptable, the trade will be approved. Conversely, if Trade Fair rates the trade as unacceptable it will be vetoed. RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to reverse any trade deemed to be completely unbalanced.

Trades approved before 11:59PM ET on Sunday night will apply to the rosters for the following fantasy week. In order to guarantee the RTSports trade approval process has enough time to process trades, teams should have their trades in 24 hours prior to this (11:59PM ET on Saturday night).

Trades that have already been proposed and are awaiting acceptance or rejection by another owner may not be proposed again until the first proposal is accepted or rejected. Trades awaiting acceptance or rejection by another owner may be withdrawn. Once a trade has been accepted by an owner and is being evaluated by RTSports, it cannot be withdrawn. If a trade is vetoed, that same trade may not be proposed again until the next fantasy week.

Trade Deadline

In a further effort to ensure the integrity of the league, the deadline for all trades will be MLB Week 18 of the season. No trades will be executed after MLB Week 18, which ends on July 28, 2019.

Not all leagues allow trading. Leagues are advertised as "Open Trading" meaning the league allows trading between teams or the league is advertised as "No Trading" meaning that trading is not offered as a feature in the league.

Season

Regular Season

The Fantasy Regular Season will run for 23 weeks from March 28th, 2019 through September 8, 2019. During the regular season each team will play 23 weekly, Monday thru Sunday, Head-to-Head matchups.

  • 3 game versus each divisional opponent for 12 games
  • 2 games versus each non-divisional opponent for 10 games
  • 1 extra game versus a random non-division opponent

For leagues starting after MLB Week one, they will play a reduced length schedule.

For each head-to-head matchup, the team with the greater number of points at the end of the week will earn a Win and the team with the lesser number will earn a Loss. In the event of tie, the team with the higher tiebreaker total will earn the win. The game tiebreaker is computed with the weekly stat totals as follows:
(RBI + Runs)/2 - Pitching Runs Allowed. In the event that a tie remains, the win will be awarded to the team with the highest cumulative batting average for the week. League and division standings are based on teams' win/loss records.

Week 1 will be Thursday thru Sunday and All-Star week will be combined with the following full calendar week to create a single fantasy week. Statistics from the Japan Series games March 20th and 21st between Oakland and Seattle will count as Week 1 stats in all leagues that begin in MLB Week 1. Please draft with this knowledge.

For leagues drafting on or before March 27, 2019 the season will begin with the regular season games on March 28, 2019. For leagues drafting on or after March 28, 2019 the league will begin play with the Monday games immediately following the draft. The season will end for all leagues after games on September 29, 2019.

Playoffs

When the fantasy Regular Season ends four teams from the league will make the fantasy playoffs. The winners of each division, based on win/loss record, will go to the playoffs as the top two seeds. The division winner with the better regular season win/loss record will be the #1 seed and the other division winner will be the #2 seed. The remaining two playoff spots (Wildcards) will be filled with the two teams with the best win/loss records, excluding the division winners.

Any ties for the order of playoff seeds, Division lead, or Wildcard spots will be broken using the following tie-breakers:

  1. Total Regular Season Points Scored
  2. Regular Season Head-to-Head Record

Each playoff matchup will run from Monday-Sunday. In the event of a tie in a playoff matchup, the same game tie-breakers applied during the regular season will be used. The game tiebreaker is computed as follows: (RBI + Runs)/2 - Pitching Runs Allowed. In the event that a tie remains, the win will be awarded to the team with the highest batting average for the week.

Disclaimers

Should the MLB season end early for any circumstance, including work-stoppage, the contest will end when Major League Baseball cancels the remainder of of the season. Should the MLB season end early, there will be no league playoffs. The league championship and first place shall be awarded to the team with the highest win/loss percentage of all teams in the league. Second place shall be awarded to the team with the second highest win/loss percentage. If the league has a third place prize, third place shall be awarded to the team with the third higest win/loss percentage. Any ties of win/loss percentage shall be broken using total regular season points scored followed by regular season head-to-head record.

Points Scoring

Scoring Rules

During each Monday to Sunday week. Each team earns points based on statistics accumulated by its players that week. Points are awarded to each team according to the point values in each of the hitting and pitching statistical categories. A team's total score for each week of the season is a combination of points a team has been awarded in each statistical category.

Players statistics shall be accumulated at the major league level. For players in NL-only or AL-only leagues, if a player is traded or otherwise acquired by a team in the other league, the fantasy team will continue to accumulate statistics for that player so long as they remain on the team's roster. If that player is dropped from a team roster that player will no longer be available in that league. For example, if it is an NL-only league and player is on a team roster when traded from Philadelphia to Cleveland mid-season the team would continue to accumulate statistics for that player so long as the team does not drop the player, even though he is pitching in the AL.

In all hitting categories the hitting statistics of your pitchers do not count toward your team totals. Hitting statistics of pitchers are ignored in all leagues. Additionally, all pitching statistics for hitters are ignored in all leagues.

Statistics for regular season games that are rained out or otherwise postponed will be applied to the week in which the game is played. The statistics for postponed games will not be applied to the week the game was originally scheduled. If a postponed game is not made up, no statistics for that game will be accumulated. If a game is cancelled for any reason, such as field conditions, work stoppage, etc, no statistics for that game will be accumulated.

Statistics Reporting

Scores and statistics are updated immediately as they are received from our statistics provider. Some events beyond RTFS' control can make this time longer. RealTime Fantasy Sports is not responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the statistics.

Because the statistics are updated "live," some errors may occur. If so, statistical errors are usually corrected by our statistics provider during the course of the day, but may take up to 24 hours to be corrected. If an error occurs and is not corrected by our provider, RTFS will correct the statistic, but only if it is overwhelmingly obvious that the stat is in error. If there is any doubt to the validity of the statistic, RTFS will maintain the statistic given by its provider.

All statistics for a game are deemed final at midnight ET seven (7) days following the day of completion of the game. The additional statistics from suspended games completed more than 7 days following the day of suspension will NOT be used. RTFS still reserves the right to change any statistic for any player at any time for any unforeseen reason.

In all leagues no statistics from any exhibition game, such as the MLB All-Star game, shall be used. No statistics from any playoff game, such as one-game end of the season tie breaker games, shall be used.

RealTime Fantasy Sports is not responsible for any inaccuracies, representations, statements, graphics or content of materials that are uploaded onto its servers and website from other vendors, including but not limited to the Major League Baseball, Stats, LLC., and users, members, subscribers, customers or participants.

Highly Experienced Players

Highly experienced fantasy players will be designated in the list of entries in each league. Players will be able to view the list of participants and their designation before joining any league. Designations will be displayed as follows:

Players will see each participant and their designation as determined by the laws and regulatory guidance of their own state of residence. For example, Missouri residents will see participants designated in accordance with Missouri statue and regulatory guidance. For residents of non-regulated U.S. states participants will be ranked and designated by RealTime Fantasy Sports' traditional fantasy rankings. This ranking is based volume of play and success of the participants. An explanation of the rankings may be found here.

Account Verification

Participants must create an account with RealTime Fantasy Sports in order to participate in any fantasy contest. Accounts must be verified using the participant's full, legal name, current address, date of birth. RealTime Fantasy Sports uses a third-party verification system to authenticate this personal information. Customers may also validate their accounts by submitting an up-to-date government issued ID (such as a driver's license) with the participant's current address and date of birth clearly displayed. RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to close any account under suspicion of fraud or submission of invalid personal information.

Self-Exclusion

Participants may self-exclude themselves from participating in contest offer by RTFS.

  • Participants may exclude themselves from RTFS games at any time. Exclusion periods range from 1 week to permanent closure of the account.
  • During the exclusion period the participant may not access their account or participate in any contests.
  • In order for a participant to permanently close their account, all winnings must first be requested for payout to the verified address on the account.
  • Permanently closed accounts will have any credit balance refunded to the appropriate credit card and any bonus money will be permanently forfeited.
  • Participants can self-exclude by selecting the "Self-Exclusion" link located on their account information page, or by contacting RealTime Fantasy Sports support at 636-447-1170 or by e-mail at support@rtsports.com.
  • Closed accounts may only be re-opened by contacting RealTime Fantasy Sports support. Participants may not create a second account -- one account per customer, including closed accounts.
Prize Payouts

Contest participants will not be eligible to receive prize payments until their account information has been verified. Prize payments will only be sent to the verified name and address on the account, no other name or address will accepted. If a prize winner has moved, address information will need to be re-verified before a prize payout can be issued.

All funds in verified, registered personal accounts are sole possession of that participant. Except in cases involving fraud (see section titled, "Fraud" below). Withdrawals from a registered participants's account by any individual other than the registered participant is strictly prohibitied. These funds are not the property of RealTime Fantasy Sports Inc. and are not available to RealTime Fantasys Sports Inc.'s creditors.

One account per participant. Persons with more than one account may have any extra accounts closed by RealTime Fantasy Sports.

Taxes

US Residents

Prize winnings of $600 or more per calednar year must be claimed as income. Participants receiving $600 or more in winnings are required to submit their social security number for tax purposes. This SSN will be verified using the participant's account information for validity. By February 15th of the next calendar year all participants receiving $600 or more in winnings will have a tax form 1099-MISC, detailing the taxable amount of their winnings, attached to their personal account. Participants will be notified via e-mail and online (when they access their personal account) of the presence of the 1099-MISC form. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to print out the form and include it in their tax return to the IRS. Per tax law, RealTime Fantasy Sports will provide a copy of the 1099-MISC to the IRS for their records.

Non-US residents

All prize winnings are succeptible to a 30% foreign winnings withholding. Withholdings will be deducted from prize distributions and sent to the IRS. By February 15th of the next calendar year all non-US residents will have a tax form 1042-S, detailing the amount of prize money withheld, attached to their personal account. Participants will be notified via e-mail and online (when they access their personal account) of the presence of the 1042-S form. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to print out the form and determine the amount, if any, that can be re-claimed. Per tax law, RealTime Fantasy Sports will provide a copy of the 1042-S to the IRS for their records.

Prize Notification

Prize Winners will be notified by email within 48 hours after the official final results (and associated winners) are validated at the conclusion of the Contest. Prize Winners are also posted on the Contest web site. For full season or multiple week contests, the conclusion of the Contest is defined as noon Eastern time on either the Thursday following the last day of competition in the league or 2 business days following the last day of competition, whichever is the later date. For daily contests, the conclusion the Contest is defined as noon Eastern on the day following the last event of the Contest. Within 48 hours after the conclusion of the Contest all prize awards will be placed in the winner's RealTime Fantasy Sports account. Prize Winners may use the balance in their accounts to purchase additional RealTime Fantasy Sports games or they may request a prize distribution via check or direct deposit, payable in US Dollars. Prize Winners must complete an affidavit of eligibility and a liability/publicity release (unless prohibited by law) to receive a prize distribution. Failure to comply with these requirements can result in non-payment. Prize Winners are not required to spend the balance in their account nor are they required to receive a prize distribution. Account balances do not expire and may be spent on RealTime Fantasy Sports games at any time in the future.

By accepting any prize, the winners grant permission to RealTime Fantasy Sports to use their names and/or likenesses for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law, and agree to execute a written consent. In the event of a dispute about the identity of any entrant, entries made online are declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A potential winner can be required to provide the sponsors with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry.

Sportsmanship and Decency

Sportsmanship

By registering, you agree to abide by the general sportsmanship rules set forth in these rules and fantasy games in general. You further agree to accept and abide by the rulings and the decisions of RealTime Fantasy Sports regarding all questions of sportsmanship. Sportsmanship broadly includes actions such as abusive postings and communication, colluding with other teams in the league, deliberately choosing to start incomplete or weak lineups, free agent moves for reasons other than improvement of the owner's fantasy team, and any other actions not conducive to decent, fair, and honest play. If an owner refuses to comply with the sportsmanship rules, or that an owner has acted in an unsportsmanlike manner, RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to disqualify the owner and/or remove that owner from the league without a refund. All decisions by RealTime Fantasy Sports will be final.

Inappropriate, Offensive, or Commercial Communication

The league message boards, league news and league email are provided to facilitate communication with other league owners and enhance the enjoyment of your league. RealTime Fantasy Sports does not permit posting or sending messages or images, to include logos, avatars and team names that could be construed as offensive to other owners. Inappropriate communication can also include spamming team owners with commercial offers and/or posting commercial messages on the league message board. Team owners who violate these guidelines are subject to being restricted from posting in the league. Additionally, RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to disqualify the owner and/or remove that owner from the league without a refund. All decisions by RealTime Fantasy Sports will be final.

All participants are required to abide by the RealTime Fantasy Sports, Inc. (RTFS) Official Policies.

Appeals

Accidental Drops

Should a team accidentally drop a player or drop the incorrect player during a free agent transaction, the team may appeal to have the player reinstated to their team. The appeal for reinstatement must occur immediately, without exception. If the appeal is not submitted immediately, for any reason, the appeal will be denied. Submission of an appeal does not guarantee a ruling in favor of the team submitting the appeal. If the team owner is a repeat offender, deemed to be using the appeal to gain an advantage or the appeal is not submitted immediately, the appeal will be denied. RTFS reserves the right to deny any appeal.

Trades

In leagues, that allow trading owners may request a review of complete trades. Trade appeals must be submitted immediately after the end of the league voting period for a trade. If any delay in submission occurs, for any reason, the appeal will be denied. Upon submission of an appeal, the trade will be reviewed by a panel of fantasy football experts. Current injuries, bye weeks, season to date performance and other factors will be considered. Trades that are overwhelmingly one-sided will be reversed. Trades that are arguably beneficial to both sides or arguably not overwhelmingly one-sided will be allowed to stand. It is the responsibility of teams within a league to veto a trade if they believe it to be one-sided. Submission of an appeal does not guarantee a trade will be reversed. RTFS reserves the right to reverse any trade or let any trade stand.

Teams may not appeal the veto of a trade. If team owners in a league veto a trade, for any reason, that veto shall stand.

All appeal decisions by RealTime Fantasy Sports are final.

Registering Complaints

Participants wishing to register complaints regarding whether his or her account has been misallocated, compromised, or otherwise mishandled may do so using the following methods:

Please include full name, account information, contact number (daytime and evening) and description of your complaint. RealTime Fantasy Sports will access the given information and respond either via phone or e-mail within three (3) business days. RealTime Fantasy Sports will do everything in its power to resolve the situation.

Gambling Policy
  • RTFS games, contests and leagues are compliant with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 under the fantasy or simulation sports game provision.
  • RTFS is provided as a service for the use, entertainment and enjoyment of its users, subscribers, participants and visitors. RTFS is in no way encouraging or endorsing gambling, wagering or betting of any kind, whether legal or illegal.
  • All RTFS contests that award prizes are sports simulation games ("fantasy games") where the outcome of the game is based on the skill of the participants.
  • By agreeing to the Policies contained herein, any and all users, members, subscribers and participants agree to hold RealTime Fantasy Sports harmless for any action taken against them, whether legal or otherwise, for, or as a result of, gambling, wagering or betting of any kind.

Internet/Technology Problems

If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of RealTime Fantasy Sports which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest. RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the registration process or operations of the Contest and to cancel, terminates, modify or suspend the Contest. RealTime Fantasy Sports assumes no responsibility for any error, omissions, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation with transmission, communications, line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or allegation of entries. RealTime Fantasy Sports is not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, equipment or software, failure of any email or user action to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, phone lines, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a participant's computer related to or resulting from participation in the Contest. ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE LEAGUES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, REALTIME FANTASY SPORTS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Liability

RealTime Fantasy Sports is not responsible for any late, lost, garbled, misdirected, incomplete, or damaged entries; any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of RealTime Fantasy Sports or any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest. RealTime Fantasy Sports or any subsidiary or affiliated company of any of the foregoing, are not in any way responsible or liable for any damage, loss or injury (including death) resulting from participation in the Contest and/or acceptance and use of any prize won. RealTime Fantasy Sports is solely responsible for enacting, administering, enforcing the rules, and maintaining the integrity of the Contest. The Contest and website are not sponsored by, endorsed by, nor affiliated with, the National Football League, the National Football League Players Association, Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players Association, National Basketball Association or NASCAR.

Release

By participating in the Contest, you release and agree to hold harmless RealTime Fantasy Sports, its sponsors, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries and losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.

Official Rules

The Contest is subject to all United States laws, and to the Leagues official rules, and cannot be used in connection with any form of gambling. By entering the Contest, you agree to abide by the terms of the official rules and by the decisions of RealTime Fantasy Sports, which are final on all matters pertaining to the Contest. RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to change the official rules at any time, in their sole discretion. Official rules are the rules posted on the Contest website.

Fraud

Entries into the Contest obtained via fraudulent means such as purchase with stolen credit card, fraudulent bank transaction, checks returned for insufficient funds, credit card chargebacks, etc. shall be disqualified from the Contest. Participants circumventing, attempting to circumvent or subverting the rules of the Contest shall be declared fraudulent and be disqualified from the Contest. RealTime Fantasy Sports reserves the right to seek legal remedies and restitution for all fraudulently acquired entries and for any transactions that defraud RealTime Fantasy Sports of Contest entry fees. Remedies and restitution may include administrative charges and attorney fees. Participants that obtain Contest entries by fraud or defraud RealTime Fantasy Sports shall forfeit all entries and all current and future Contest prizes without recourse or refund.
