No teams will be losing a DH this week because of inter-league play with all NL teams at AL parks. Houston plays all five at home with a two-game set against Milwaukee. Those are two of the five teams playing only five games. The others being Cincinnati with two at Cleveland and San Francisco.

The other inter-league games are hometown rivals playing each other with the Mets at the Yankees and the Dodgers at the Angels. Washington goes to Chicago to play the White Sox. And 12 teams have a seven-game schedule and 15 have six games on their slate.

Of the teams playing all seven, it will be curious to see if Dallas Keuchel makes a home start for the Braves next weekend and who he will be replacing in their rotation. Mike Soroka and Julio Teheran have been their best pitchers of late, so the other three are pitching for their jobs this week. My guess is rookie Max Fried will be the odd man out. Currently, the Braves have all right handed pitchers coming to town to start against them, which makes good plays for Brian McCann and Nick Markakis.

Colorado has seven at home with the Cubs for three and Padres for four. Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe has been on a home run tear lately and is probably licking his chops to get to the thin air!. Tampa Bay gets seven at home against the A’s and Angels. Interesting note, Yandy Diaz is hitting .313 at home and .186 on the road.

On the other end of the spectrum, Arizona’s Christian Walker is hitting .295 on the road and only .210 at home. The Diamondbacks are on the road for seven this week, making him a good play.

Hot hitting Minnesota gets six home games with Seattle and Kansas City, two teams with a combined ERA over five. Marwin Gonzales has come to life, along with C.J. Cron and Miguel Sano, all players who might be on your waiver wire. And if you need a catcher, Mitch Garver is hitting as good as any catcher lately. This is a good week to claim them.

Other favorable schedules this week go to the Yankees (Mets and White Sox), Marlins with six at home against the Cards and Pirates, Padres with four in Colorado and Red Sox with seven against the Rangers (four at home) and three at Baltimore, two more teams with a combined ERA over five.

Some players to look for on your waiver wire include Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius, Craig Kimbrel and Dallas Keuchel. It might take a week or two until they are productive, though. Another guy to snatch if available is Mike Clevinger. The Indians starter made a rehab start this week at AAA Columbus, and while it was rocky (four runs, three hits, two walks), it was a step in the right direction. He’ll be back soon!. And if Jay Bruce is available, he’s been hitting home runs at a record clip. While it’s still unsure how the Phillies will use him, get him now while he’s hot.
