The Texas Rangers placed Jake Burger on the 10-day injured list on Monday, a day after the infielder suffered a left wrist sprain against Toronto.

Burger, 29, will make his third trip to the IL over the past two months. He suffered a left oblique strain, which kept him on the shelf from June 21 to July 1, before a left quad strain forced him to miss time from July 13 to August 7.

In 2025, Burger has played in 84 games during his first season with the Rangers. He is hitting .242 with 12 home runs, 15 doubles, 41 RBIs and a slugging percentage of .416. The five-year veteran, who came over from the Miami Marlins in the offseason, was 9-for-21 in August.

In a corresponding move, Texas recalled outfielder Alejandro Osuna from Triple-A Round Rock. He will be activated in time for Monday's series opener at Kansas City.

The 22-year-old rookie has played in 34 games over two stints for the Rangers this season. He is hitting .158 with a dozen hits in 76 at-bats. The native of Ahome, Mexico, has one home run and five RBIs.
