New York centerfielder Trent Grisham suffered a hamstring injury in the sixth inning of the Yankees' game with the Blue Jays in Toronto on Friday night and had to exit the contest.

The Yankees reported the injury as right hamstring tightness.

With two outs in the top of the inning, Grisham hit a two-run single to center to cut the Yankees deficit to 7-5. When the throw came home, Grisham advanced from first and slid into second, emerging with an apparent leg injury. Max Schuemann substituted in to run for him.

A two-time Gold Glove winner, Grisham was 1-for-4 with the two RBIs when he exited the game. He is batting .232 this season in 224 at-bats.
