San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (calf) is set to miss several weeks of action. ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Wembanyama will be out for a "few weeks" due to a left calf strain. The French superstar missed his first game of the season on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings. A source told ESPN that Wembanyama will be re-evaluated in 2-3 weeks. Luke Kornet started at center on Sunday and is likely to benefit the most from Wembanyama's absence, although fantasy managers can also expect to see more of Kelly Olynyk and Bismack Biyombo during the upcoming weeks.
Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) will play on Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. A left knee problem keeps Antetokounmpo on the injury report, but Bucks head coach Doc Rivers has confirmed that he will play against Cleveland. The knee issue hasn't really affected Antetokounmpo, as he is averaging 32.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.3 blocks in 33.4 minutes. The Cavaliers didn't know what to do against Antetokounmpo in this season's first meeting. The former MVP missed a 40-point triple-double by only one assist, going 14-for-20 from he field and 11-for-16 at the charity stripe.
Indiana Pacers guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin (toe) will return from an 11-game absence on Monday against the Detroit Pistons. Mathurin played in the first two games of the season before being sidelined by a toe sprain. He was on fire to start the year, posting 31.0 points per game with 50 percent shooting from three-point range. On Monday, Mathurin should also be heavily involved in the offense, although he might be under a minutes restriction after his multi-week absence. Mathurin's return will likely impact the playing time of Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Jarace Walker, and Ben Sheppard.
ESPN's Shams Charania reports Monday that Los Angeles Clippers forwardDerrick Jones Jr.(knee)suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee and will be re-evaluated in six weeks. Jones' injury occurred during Sunday's 121-118 loss to the Celtics. Before the setback, the 28-year-old was averaging a career high of 10.9 points per contest. He was also in the team's starting five through 13 outings, producing 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.1 assists across 24.9 minutes per game. With Jones out for the foreseeable future, expect veterans Nicolas Batum, Bogdan Bogdanovic(hip) and 23-year-old Kobe Sanders to see expanded roles on the floor.
Dallas Mavericks center Anthony Davis (calf) remains out for Monday's game versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. He appeared in five contests to begin the 2025 campaign, averaging 20.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.6 steals. Unfortunately, AD has been plagued by a calf injury, keeping him off the floor for Dallas' last nine games. It's unknown when Davis will be back in the lineup. However, with Daniel Gafford (Ankle, injury management) and Dereck Lively II (right knee, injury management) also ruled out, Moussa Cisse should see more action on Monday night.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (toe) remains out for Monday's Central Division showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks. He wasn't available for the first seven games to begin the 2025 campaign. However, after returning and appearing in a few contests, he re-aggravated the injury during the November 10 meeting with the Miami Heat and has now missed the last three games. According to head coach Kenny Atkinson, the 26-year-old is moving in a positive direction. Unfortunately, it appears it may take him some more time before he's ready to return to the floor. While Garland is on the shelf, Sam Merrill, coming off a 13-point showing, is expected to remain in the starting lineup.
According to Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network, Dallas Mavericks center Daniel Gafford (ankle) is unavailable for Monday's matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 27-year-old recently returned to the team's rotation after recovering from an ankle injury. However, he will sit out the second half of a back-to-back to rest. With Dereck Lively II(knee) also ruled out, the Mavs frontcourt will need 23-year-old big man Moussa Cisse to step up. Cisse will see more playing time than usual, but he isn't a viable fantasy option going into Monday's contest.
According to Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (leg) was a full participant in practice on Monday. Besides returning to practice, James recently completed a successful G League assignment, during which he got extra practice time. However, the 40-year-old is still considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the Jazz. If James remains out of action, fantasy managers should still expect Luka DoncicandAustin Reavesto carry the Lakers' offense Tuesday evening.
Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant (calf) has been ruled out until the team can re-evaluate their star in two weeks. Morant suffered a Grade 1 right calf strain during Saturday's matchup with the Cavaliers. The 26-year-old is averaging just 17.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 7.6 assists and one steal per game as the Grizzlies have started the season 4-10. Morant's shooting touch has been off this season, as the career 31% three-point shooter is hitting at just a 16.7% mark this season. Jaylen Wells, Cedric Coward and Cam Spencer could all see an increased role in the lineup with Morant sidelined.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr. (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Clippers are on the end of a back-to-back and have opted sit Jones for the first time this season. Jones has started every game for the Clippers, posting 10.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 blocks per game. Jones has maintained an effective field goal percentage of 62.0, utilizing James Harden's playmaking ability to find open looks in the offense. The banged-up Clippers will continue to run their offense through Harden on Monday, and fantasy owners should expect a big day from the veteran.
Los Angeles Clippers small forward Kawhi Leonard (ankle) will not play Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Leonard last appeared for the Clippers on November 3 and is going to miss his eighth game of the season after appearing in just six. Leonard's continued absence leaves James Harden without a secondary creator in the lineup, resulting in a massive 29.5% usage rate for the 36-year-old guard. The Clippers continue to utilize point guard Kris Dunn in the starting lineup while Leonard sits. Despite the extra minutes, Dunn has struggled to carve out a role for fantasy lineups. Look for Harden to have another big night, as he is flashing signs of his prime ability as the leader of the team.
Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic (hip) is listed as questionable on the team's injury report ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers. Bogdanovic played 35 minutes in last night's 118-121 loss to the Celtics, and the team could opt to rest him at the end of their back-to-back tonight. He has started two of the seven games he's played this season, averaging a career-low 9.7 points while shooting just 40.4% from the field. Kris Dunn and Kobe Sanders would likely be the biggest beneficiaries if the veteran sharpshooter is unable to play.
The Charlotte Hornets recalled small forward Brandon Miller (shoulder) from the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Monday. Miller continues to ramp up his practice schedule with the expectation of being back in the lineup sooner than later. The former Alabama wing has appeared in just two games this season, averaging 14.5 points and four assists in 20 minutes per game. The Hornets are hoping his return could boost a struggling lineup built around Miller, LaMelo Ball, and Miles Bridges. You should continue to monitor Miller and be ready to plug him back into your lineup upon his return.
Philadelphia 76ers center Adem Bona (ankle) is dealing with an ankle sprain and will not suit up against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday. The 22-year-old has seen his minutes fluctuate as head coach Nick Nurse went with more of a matchup-dependent approach, but Bona's biggest fantasy contribution has been in the blocks department with 20 through 12 games. Outside of that, he's seen dips in rebounding and offensive numbers even though he's playing a similar amount of minutes. While he's out, Andre Drummond will start again with Trendon Watford, Dominick Barlow, and Jabari Walker seeing some added minutes in the frontcourt. If Drummond is available, he's by far the best streaming option with averages of 8.0 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
New York Knicks shooting guard Miles McBride (personal) will be available Monday when the team takes on the Miami Heat. McBride has already missed a pair of games this season due to a personal matter. With Jalen Brunson (ankle) out of action, McBride could see an increased role in tonight's game. The 25-year-old guard is averaging 8.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while playing 22.8 minutes per game. Despite the loss of Brunson, playmaking duties will still likely land with Miles Bridges and Josh Hart, so don't expect a big influx of assists on the stat sheet for McBride tonight. He should still be started in all formats Monday night.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee) has been diagnosed with an LCL injury in his left knee and has officially been ruled out for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. There hasn't been a firm timetable announced for his return, so it seems like he'll be treated as day-to-day for the moment. Oubre has been a big part of the Sixers' early success, but with Paul George (knee) seemingly getting ready to make his debut, it could be good timing for reinforcements. If George doesn't play either, a combination of Justin Edwards, Trendon Watford, and Dominick Barlow would likely see more minutes. Edwards has been a great help for fantasy mangers looking for threes (1.6 per game), while Barlow has been better in rebounding and stock numbers.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George (knee) is trending in the right direction after picking up a questionable tag for Monday's matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers. The veteran has yet to play this season as the team is taking every precaution with his rehab from knee surgery in the offseason. If he suits up, he may be under a minutes restriction, so his fantasy value wouldn't be too high right away. With Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee) ruled out, he could get the starting nod though. Otherwise, Trendon Watford and Dominick Barlow would be the next best streaming options. Head coach Nick Nurse seems to go with a hot hand approach in terms of mintues for Watford and Barlow, so it would be hard to judge which is the better one to go with in the meantime.
Detroit Pistons forward Ausar Thompson (ankle) has a chance to return from a three-game absence due to an ankle sprain. On the official injury report against the Indiana Pacers on Monday, Thompson drew a questionable tag. The dynamic wing hasn't played since their win over the Phoenix Suns on November 9, but he has seen career highs in almost every category across the board. He's averaging 13.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.4 turnovers across 29.1 minutes per game. If he remains out for a fourth consecutive game, Duncan Robinson and Ron Holland II will continue to see more opportunities. Robinson provides a bit more consistent value for fantasy managers in category leagues, but Holland produces a bit more in the stocks department.
Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (ankle) has been listed as probable for Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers, which would end a two-game absence if he does suit up. The former 13th-overall pick has been a dominant force in the paint this season and has been posting career high numbers through 11 games played. So far, he's registering 19.4 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks across 29.0 minutes per contest. If, for some reason, he's downgraded, then Paul Reed should remain in the starting lineup and serve as a solid streaming option across all fantasy formats.
Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (hip) is still dealing with a hip contusion which has kept him out of the last two games. The team has listed him as questionable ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Indiana Pacers, so he has a chance to return to the court. Cunningham has looked like an MVP candidate to start the season as he averages 27.5 points, 9.9 assists, 5.4 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 3.6 turnovers, and 1.9 threes per game. If he's unable to suit up again, however, Daniss Jenkins will likely remain in the starting five. Jenkins has been a solid streaming option so far after putting up averages of 18.5 points, 10.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game over his last two starts.
