Phillips Valdez Aug 20 7:03pm ET

The Texas Rangers recalled LHP Brock Burke from Class Nashville Tuesday, Aug. 20. RHP Jonathan Hernandez was recalled from Class AA Frisco. RHPs Ian Gibaut and Phillips Valdez were optioned to Nashville.

Brock Burke Aug 20 7:00pm ET

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Brock Burke will draw the start against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. This will be his major league debut, but he'll be sent down right after this start. He's posting a 3.90 ERA with 64 strikeouts in 62 1/3 innings in the minors this season. He probably won't be the best fantasy option for Tuesday, but could have some streaming value for desperate owners.

    J.T. Realmuto Aug 20 6:50pm ET

Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto is shifting to a new position for Tuesday's game against the Boston Red Sox. Rhys Hoskins who normally plays first base will serve as the designated hitter while in the AL ballpark. Realmuto will move over to first base and bat second versus lefty Brian Johnson. Andrew Knapp will do the catching and bat ninth. Both Hoskins and Realmuto should have strong fantasy value for this one.

    From RotoBaller

Hunter Strickland Aug 20 6:50pm ET

Washington Nationals relief pitcher Hunter Strickland (nose) had a weightlifting bar fall on his face during Tuesday's workout. Strickland had an MRI on his nose and it appears to be nothing serious. Sean Doolittle (knee) is sidelined, so Strickland could the first guy called upon in the ninth inning on Tuesday.

    From RotoBaller

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Aug 20 6:40pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Guerrero tweaked his knee during Saturday's game. He only missed one game and is back in the lineup here. Guerrero will bat third and play third base versus lefty Clayton Kershaw. Guerrero has been heating up with the bat, but Kershaw is an elite pitcher.

    From RotoBaller

Charlie Blackmon Aug 20 6:40pm ET

Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This appears to be a routine day off for Blackmon against the left-handed starter. Yonathan Daza will play center field and bat seventh versus lefty Alex Young. Daza is not a reliable fantasy option and can be ignored in fantasy formats.

    From RotoBaller

    J.D. Davis Aug 20 6:40pm ET

New York Mets outfielder J.D. Davis (calf) is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Indians. Davis has been bothered by a calf issue the last few days. He missed multiple games because of it, but is back in the lineup here. Davis will bat sixth and play left field versus righty Shane Bieber. Davis doesn't seem to get out, so it's hard to ignore him in fantasy formats.

    From RotoBaller

Niko Goodrum Aug 20 6:30pm ET

Detroit Tigers second baseman Niko Goodrum (groin) remains out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Houston Astros. This marks the third game in a row that Goodrum has missed due to a sore groin. Gordon Beckham will draw the start at second base and bat ninth versus righty Aaron Sanchez. Beckham is not a reliable fantasy option.

    From RotoBaller

Yusei Kikuchi Aug 20 6:30pm ET

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi will be skipped during his next turn in the rotation. The team is rebuilding and they want to limit Kikuchi's innings this season. He threw a shutout last outing against the Jays, so it has nothing to do with performance. Jutus Sheffield is expected to start on Friday and Felix Hernandez (shoulder) is scheduled to throw on Saturday.

    From RotoBaller

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Aug 20 6:23pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays 3B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) returns to the starting lineup Tuesday, Aug. 20, against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Justus Sheffield Aug 20 6:20pm ET

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Justus Sheffield is expected to be called up by the major league team on Friday. Sheffield has a 4.13 ERA with 133 strikeouts in 133 innings in the minors this season. The Mariners are out of contention, so they may give Sheffield a long look in the rotation. He's worth a look in deep leagues and AL-only formats. He has potential to be a reliable starter in the rotation.
