Jake Odorizzi May 26 7:30pm ET

Minnesota Twins right-hander Jake Odorizzi picked up the win in a 7-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. Odorizzi pitched 5 1/3 shutout innings, striking out nine batters and allowing just two baserunners. The veteran right-hander has been excellent on the mound of late, allowing just three earned runs over his past three starts. Overall, he has a 7-2 record, 2.16 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 61 strikeouts in 58 1/3 innings of work. Odorizzi has worked himself into must-start territory with his strong pitching of late. He will take on the Tampa Bay Rays in his next start.

Joc Pederson May 26 7:30pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in the sixth inning, his 15th of the season, in Sunday's 11-7 road win against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Pederson was out of the starting lineup for Friday's series opener with LHP Steven Brault on the bump, but manager Dave Roberts still was able to get two hits out of him off the bench. That's three straight multi-hit games for Pederson, and at least one extra-base hit in four of his past five outings, as he is now slashing .252/.365/.629 with a .994 OPS while posting 15 homers and 29 RBI. He has killed right-handed starting pitching, and is a must-start in all fantasy formats.

Austin Barnes May 26 7:20pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes (groin) was hitless in his only at-bat Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. While running the bases he pulled up lame with a sore left groin and was replaced by Russell Martin behind the dish. In this game, the Dodgers had back-to-back HBP with the bases loaded for the first time since 1925. As far as his injury, manager Dave Roberts said he wasn't certain about the severity of Barnes' left groin injury. If he is forced to the 10-day injured list, Rocky Gale would likely be summoned from Triple-A to back up Martin.

Jay Bruce May 26 7:20pm ET

Seattle Mariners outfielder/first baseman Jay Bruce went yard Sunday afternoon off of Athletics starter Brett Anderson for his 13th homer of the season. The veteran added a double as he went 3-for-4 on a day where the rest of the M's offense was stifled. This game put Bruce's batting average over the .200 mark for the first time all season although he's maintained steady power numbers all year. Expect this trend from Bruce to continue throughout the season, making a viable starter in mixed-leagues if you can afford to sacrifice some points in average.

Matt Beaty May 26 7:20pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Matt Beaty went 2-for-6 with four RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 11-7 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Beaty entered the day hitting just .240 with no extra-base hits and five RBI across 25 at-bats over 10 games, so he'll need a few more games like this before he gains the trust of fantasy owners outside of the deepest NL-only leagues. However, this was certainly a nice outing, and a career high in run production.

Justin Turner May 26 7:10pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner had a career-high five hits with a walk in Sunday's 11-7 road win against the Pittsburgh Pirates. All five knocks were singles, and he finished with three runs scored, too. Turner entered the week slashing .276/.275/.423, but he is now slashing .304/.396/.444, pushing his OPS up 42 points just over the past four outings. He'll try to keep up the good work against his former employer, the New York Mets, and RHP Jacob deGrom on Memorial Day back in L.A.

    From RotoBaller

Kenta Maeda May 26 7:10pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Kenta Maeda (thigh) made his return from the 10-day injured list for his start Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He allowed just three earned runs, five hits and no walks with four strikeouts over five innings to pick up the road victory. He threw 57 of his 81 pitches for strikes, throwing first-pitch strikes to 14 of the 20 batters he faced. It was a nice outing for Maeda, and it appears safe to plug him back into the active fantasy lineup. His next scheduled start is set for Friday night opposite Jake Arrieta and the Philadelphia Phillies at Dodger Stadium

    From RotoBaller

Luke Weaver May 26 7:10pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Luke Weaver (forearm) left his start Sunday against the San Francisco Giants due to tightness in his right forearm. The only good news is that he allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks with six strikeouts over five innings, leaving with the lead for his fantasy owners. A trainer came out to see him, and he walked off immediately. That's never a good sign, as often times that is a sign of serious trouble, but it could also just be a cramp, too. He'll be re-evaluated on Monday. Fantasy owners might want to play it safe and reserve him heading into the upcoming scoring period.

Max Kepler May 26 7:10pm ET

Minnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler had a big afternoon at the plate in a 7-0 win over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. Kepler went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer, and four RBI in the victory. The young outfielder is hitting .276 with 12 doubles, 12 homers, 35 runs, and 33 RBI. In the midst of a breakout season, Kepler has been red-hot at the plate over his last seven games, hitting .500 with three homers. He needs to be added in any leagues where he's available.

    From RotoBaller

Aledmys Diaz May 26 6:53pm ET

Houston Astros INF Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) likely will be placed on the 10-day injured list because of his hamstring injury.

Brock Holt May 26 6:43pm ET

Boston Red Sox INF/OF Brock Holt (shoulder) participated in a full workout Sunday, May 26, and is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday, May 27.

Kris Bryant May 26 5:33pm ET

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant (undisclosed) left the game early Sunday, May 26, after colliding with OF Jason Heyward in the outfield.

Austin Barnes May 26 5:33pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers C Austin Barnes (groin) left the game early Sunday, May 26, because of left groin soreness.

Aledmys Diaz May 26 5:23pm ET

Houston Astros INF Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) left the game early Sunday, May 26, because of left hamstring discomfort.

Matt Hall May 26 5:13pm ET

Detroit Tigers LHP Matt Hall was optioned to Class AAA Toledo Sunday, May 26.

Trevor Gott May 26 5:00pm ET

The San Francisco Giants placed relief pitcher Trevor Gott (forearm) on the 10-day injured list due to a strained right forearm. They recalled pitcher Dereck Rodriguez from Triple-A Sacramento in the corresponding move. Until recently, Gott had been the most effective reliever for the Giants, posting a 1.93 ERA until he served up three runs and two hits with two walks in just two-thirds of an inning on Saturday against Arizona. Apparently an injury was to blame for that outing. He still has a 3.00 ERA and 0.83 WHIP with a 2-0 record over 24 innings. Gott is worth a look in deeper NL-only fantasy leagues which use true middle relievers when healthy.

    From RotoBaller

Andrew Suarez May 26 5:00pm ET

The San Francisco Giants optioned starting pitcher Andrew Suarez to Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, and they recalled reliever Sam Coonrod from the River Cats in the corresponding move. Suarez was pounded for nine runs - seven earned - and nine hits with three walks over just four innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks in his most recent start. Coonrod had some success at Sacto, and he said it began when he started throwing his two-seamer to set up his slurve as a strikeout pitch. That helped him keep the ball down, vital at elevation in the Pacific Coast League. Coonrod is not someone to add in fantasy leagues, but monitor his progress for the pitching-starved Giants.

    From RotoBaller

Dereck Rodriguez May 26 4:50pm ET

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Dereck Rodriguez might be an option to fill an open spot in the rotation on Tuesday night in Baltimore against the Orioles. He is currently available to work in relief. Pitcher Tyler Beede also might be an option for the assignment. The only thing that is set in stone is that reliever Derek Holland will remain in the bullpen for manager Bruce Bochy. The starting rotation for the Giants is in shambles, but it's a favorable matchup against a poor O's lineup, so whomever makes the start could be a sneaky low-cost DFS option on Tuesday.

    From RotoBaller

Francisco Lindor May 26 4:50pm ET

Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor reached base three times on Sunday, hitting a single and walking twice. He ended up 1-for-3 with an RBI, moving his slash line to .279/.342/.473. He got off to a slow start, but he's picked it up quite a bit recently and is worth a spot in the starting lineup in all formats.

    From RotoBaller

Taylor Clarke May 26 4:40pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Taylor Clarke allowed three earned runs while scattering six hits over 6 1/3 innings in a start Saturday against the San Francisco Giants, throwing 64 of his 100 pitches for strikes in just his second career major league start. He also walked three and struck out four for his first MLB victory. "To me, it looked like was very effective with his fastball and was grinding to find his secondary stuff," manager Torey Lovullo said. Zack Godley and Robbie Ray have managed two quality starts in 19 combined outings, a mark Clarke has equaled in two starts. The team is searching for a back-end rotation rock, and he appears to be a solid NL-only fantasy option as long as he continues to start.
