Giancarlo Stanton May 23 1:03am ET

New York Yankees OF Giancarlo Stanton (biceps, calf) will not play in any rehab games for the next seven to 10 days due to tightness in his left calf.

CC Sabathia May 23 1:03am ET

New York Yankees LHP CC Sabathia (knee) is expected to miss his next scheduled and could end up on the injured list due to inflammation in his knee, according to manager Aaron Boone. Sabathia is set to receive a cortisone shot.

Gregory Polanco May 23 12:53am ET

Pittsburgh Pirates OF Gregory Polanco (finger) returned to the lineup Wednesday, May 22, after missing the team's previous game with finger discomfort.

Tommy Pham May 23 12:40am ET

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Tommy Pham hit a solo blast off of Rich Hill on Wednesday. It was his first homer since May 6th and the powerless streak may have fantasy owners panicking. However, there is no need to panic in this case. All of Phams Statcast marks are well above average and hes hitting ,278 with a .391 OBP, so its just a matter of time before the home runs come. Counting stats have not been ideal though, with only 19 runs and 20 RBI. There is potential for him to go on a power streak and boost those counting stats with some help in front and behind him in the very solid Rays lineup. Hes a good buy low option.

Lane Thomas May 23 12:33am ET

St. Louis Cardinals OF Lane Thomas was recalled from Class AAA Memphis on Wednesday, May 22.

Jake Newberry May 23 12:33am ET

Kansas City Royals RP Jake Newberry was recalled from Triple-A Omaha Wednesday, May 22.

Brett Anderson May 23 12:33am ET

Oakland Athletics LHP Brett Anderson (neck) will make his next scheduled start on Sunday, May 26; there was some question after he strained his neck while avoiding shattered pieces of a broken back during his last outing.

Yonny Chirinos May 23 12:30am ET

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Yonny Chirinos let up one run in relief of opener Ryne Stanek on Wednesday. He only tossed 3 2/3 innings in this one striking out two against a tough Dodgers lineup. Its possible that he will get a straight start or two in the Rays long stretch of consecutive games. Hes owned in 46 percent of Yahoo leagues which means that he is a viable streaming options in a lot of leagues. A 3.26 ERA could help a lot of fantasy teams especially considering how some studs have struggled recently. The strikeout upside isnt huge, but hes always a good option for a win and maintaining solid ratios. His next appearance should be a good matchup against the Blue Jays.

    From RotoBaller

Yasiel Puig May 23 12:23am ET

Cincinnati Reds OF Yasiel Puig (shoulder) missed his second consecutive game Wednesday, May 22. He's expected to return on Friday, May 24, according to manager David Bell.

Xander Bogaerts May 23 12:20am ET

Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went 3-for-6 with one RBI on Wednesday. Hes hitting .375 over the past two weeks with a homer, 11 runs, and nine RBI. Bogaerts is just about as solid as they come when hes fully healthy in the heart of the Sox order. It would be nice to see him get going on the base paths to increase his value, but the season production has been phenomenal. His slash sits at .278/.376/.489 with eight home runs, 34 runs, and 32 RBI with one steal. Hell look to stay hot in the Sox last game of the Toronto series and then head to Houston for a tough series against the Astros. Hes not a guy that should be sat in any matchups.

    From RotoBaller

Rafael Devers May 23 12:10am ET

Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers has hit three home runs in his last three games. He homered on Wednesday against the Blue Jays to increase his total to six on the season. Hes also slashing a terrific .320/.390/.472 with six steals. If owners were disappointed in the power before this week, they sure arent anymore. Those betting against him repeating last years season are reaping the benefits now. The only thing left to do to increase his value is to move him up the order. He hit fifth on Wednesday but theres not much room at the top of the order. Even at fifth or sixth, hes still a great third base option.

    From RotoBaller

Michael Chavis May 23 12:00am ET

Boston Red Sox second baseman Michael Chavis hit a game winning solo home run to lift the Red Sox over the Blue Jays Wednesday. There were doubts about him hanging on to the second base job with Eduardo Nunez available and Dustin Pedroia rehabbing, but those are long gone. This was his 10th home run of the season and in grand fashion after the Sox bullpen blew two save opportunities. The 23-year-old is hitting .287/.385/.574 with the 10 homers and 25 RBI. Its likely too late to buy for a reasonable price, but options at second base are limited. There may still be an opportunity to give up another surging youngster at a deeper position. Start Chavis everywhere with confidence.

    From RotoBaller

Marcus Walden May 22 11:50pm ET

Boston Red Sox relief pitcher Marcus Walden blew the save opportunity in a 4-3 game on Wednesday. With the Red Sox struggling to find anyone who can lock down the ninth, the situation isnt ideal for fantasy managers. Even Matt Barnes, who has been great so far, let up an eighth inning home run to Justin Smoak. At this point, hes the only one worth owning for the strikeouts and ratios. You have to wonder if GM Dave Dombrowski will continue to accept what this bullpen is doing to a very talented team. Fantasy managers (and Sox fans) everywhere would love to see Craig Kimbrel back in Boston, however, that reunion still seems unlikely. Avoid this situation for now.

    From RotoBaller

Yoan Moncada May 22 11:40pm ET

Chicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada went 2-for-5 with a run scored and RBI. Moncada has slowed down since a hot start, but is still hitting a respectable .281 with 31 runs, nine home runs and 29 RBI. Moncada should be started in most formats.

    From RotoBaller

Ivan Nova May 22 11:40pm ET

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Ivan Nova allowed ten hits, three runs, one walk and struck out three batters versus the Houston Astros in seven innings. Nova has been one of the worst starting pitchers in baseball this year, so it was surprising to see him last this long versus a tough Astros lineup. Nova now owns a 6.96 ERA going into to a start versus the Royals on Monday. Nova should be left on waivers in all formats.

    From RotoBaller

Eloy Jimenez May 22 11:30pm ET

Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, two RBI and three runs scored versus the Houston Astros on Wednesday. It was the youngsters second multi-home run game of his young career. Jimenez was activated from the disabled list on Monday and was 0-for-8 since his return coming into tonight. Jimenez hasnt taken off as most people expected, but he remains one of the top prospects in all of baseball and should be owned in all formats. Jimenez is now hitting .233 with five home runs and ten RBI.

    From RotoBaller

Zack Britton May 22 11:20pm ET

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that relief pitcher Zach Britton was unavailable on Wednesday and was "a little beat up." Britton said nothing in particular was bothering him, but he's thrown a lot of innings lately. The left-handed reliever will be available on Thursday. The 31-year-old is 2-0 on the season with a 2.53 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, one save and 22 K's in 21 1/3 innings as a late-inning setup man and bridge to closer Aroldis Chapman. Unfortunately, Britton no longer has much fantasy value without consistent save chances in the ninth inning.

    From RotoBaller

Albert Almora Jr. May 22 11:20pm ET

Chicago Cubs outfielder Albert Almora Jr. continued to stay hot on Wednesday by going 1-for-4 with a grand slam. Almora Jr. is now hitting .275 with five home runs, 18 RBI and 19 runs scored. The outfielder has been hot of late and is worth riding in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues until he cools off.

    From RotoBaller

Shohei Ohtani May 22 11:20pm ET

Los Angeles Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (finger) is expected to be out of the lineup again on Thursday after the game against the Twins was rained out on Wednesday night. Ohtani left the game early on Monday after being hit in the finger by a pitch, but he returned and played on Tuesday. It seems as though the Angels just want to get him some rest. Left-hander Martin Perez is also the scheduled starter on Thursday. The injury shouldn't keep Ohtani out past Thursday. The Japanese star has 13 hits in 52 at-bats (.250) with two home runs and eight RBI after getting a late start to the season after having Tommy John surgery last October. Get him back into your lineups if he is back in there on Friday.

    From RotoBaller

Cole Hamels May 22 11:20pm ET

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Cole Hamels only lasted four innings versus his former team, the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. Hamels allowed nine hits, three runs, two walks and struck out six. It wasnt his best outing of the season, but the veteran lefty still owns a 3.38 ERA going into a matchup versus a tough Astros lineup.
