    Shin-soo Choo May 26 9:30pm ET

Texas Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo went 2-for-5 with a double and a solo home run with two RBI in Sunday's 7-6 road loss against the Los Angeles Angels. Of course, it wasn't all great, as he also struck out three times, too. He has managed 27 whiffs in just 78 at-bats in the month of May, but he also has three doubles and five homers with eight RBI across the past nine outings. Overall he is slashing .294/.389/.544, as the 36-year-old continues to find the fountain of youth with fellow 36-year-old outfielder teammate Hunter Pence in Arlington.

Trevor Cahill May 26 9:20pm ET

Los Angeles Angels pitcher Felix Pena was originally scheduled to start Monday's game opposite Chris Bassitt and the Oakland Athletics. However, Pena was needed in relief on Sunday, so the starter is now listed as TBD. After the game, veteran starter Trevor Cahill said he thinks he is starting tomorrow against his former club. Cahill is 2-4 with a 6.43 ERA through 49 innings so far this season, and he has already coughed up 14 homers in just 10 starts and a relief appearance. In his only appearance against the A's so far, he allowed four runs, six hits and two homers over six innings on March 28 in a loss in Oakland. Even the heartiest of contrarian players will steer far clear of Cahill in DFS if he gets the nod.

    From RotoBaller

Justin Anderson May 26 9:20pm ET

Los Angeles Angels relief pitcher Justin Anderson allowed an earned run, a hit and a walk with two strikeouts in an adventurous ninth inning, nailing down his first save of the season Sunday against the Texas Rangers. He needed 29 pitches, throwing 17 for strikes, while also uncorking a wild pitch. However, he settled down when he needed to and got the save with Hansel Robles and Ty Buttrey unavailable. Robles threw 40 pitches over the past two days, and Buttrey logged 17 pitches in each of the previous two games. Anderson might be called upon for an occasional save if Buttrey and Robles are unavailable, but his fantasy value remains rather minimal.

    From RotoBaller

Kole Calhoun May 26 9:10pm ET

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Kole Calhoun finished 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored in Sunday's 7-6 home victory against the Texas Rangers while batting out of the fourth spot in manager Brad Ausmus' order. It was his first appearances in the cleanup spot since Sept. 2017. Calhoun had been slumping, slipping from .240 to .222 in a five-game span, but he had a three-hit game on Saturday and he has scored three runs over the past two outings after managing to tap the plate three times in 11 total games from May 10-24. He remains a decent power supply for fantasy owners in AL-only leagues and some mixed formats, just beware of his so-so batting average.

    From RotoBaller

Kike Hernandez May 26 9:00pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Kike Hernandez might be "trying too hard" to force his way out of a slump, manager Dave Roberts said. "I mean you could say so, I guess. I would rather be the guy who tries too hard rather than the guy who doesn't try at all," Hernandez responded. Hernandez was red hot at the beginning of the season, but he is hitting just .165 over the past five weeks. Fantasy owners won't want to give up on him just yet, as he showed earlier in the season that he can be a force.

    From RotoBaller

Justin Upton May 26 8:50pm ET

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton (turf toe) has been taking batting practice, and he will travel with the team for its upcoming eight-game road trip starting Monday in Oakland. However, he will not be activated from the 10-day injured list. Manager Brad Ausmus said Upton will need a minor-league rehab assignment. The initial timetable for Upton had him returning sometime in June, and that certainly appears to still be the case as he makes some progress. If he is available in your fantasy league, now is the time to stash him if you have the roster flexibility.

    From RotoBaller

Shohei Ohtani May 26 8:40pm ET

Los Angeles Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-3 with one RBI in the Angels 7-6 win over the Rangers. Ohtani hit a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning to cap off a six-run inning to tie the game. Ohtani has really struggled over the last week and currently is in a 2-for-21 slump. The Angels continue to pick their spots in terms of when to start Ohtani as he is relegated to only DH duties as he recovers from Tommy John surgery. The 24-year-old has plenty of offensive talent but he is still working his way back into the groove of things. Ohtani is not an attractive play in fantasy right now heading into next week.

    From RotoBaller

Lance Lynn May 26 8:40pm ET

Texas Rangers right-handed starting pitcher Lance Lynn will take the ball for Monday's road series opener against the Seattle Mariners. Lynn, who is 6-3 with a 4.67 ERA overall this season, struck out a season-high 11 batters on Tuesday against the Mariners in Arlington. He is 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA in two starts against the Mariners this season, so DFS owners will certainly want to pay him some mind. Lynn is also a two-start pitcher in weekly fantasy formats, as he'll face a favorable home start against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday, too.

    From RotoBaller

Hunter Pence May 26 8:40pm ET

Texas Rangers outfielder Hunter Pence went 2-for-5 with a double, a solo home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Sunday's 7-6 road loss against the Los Angeles Angels. At 36 years old, there weren't many believers that Pence would be able to make the roster in spring training, let alone make an impact. However, he is now slashing .309/.356/.650 with a 1.006 OPS, posting 20 extra-base hits, including 11 homers and 35 RBI with just 24 strikeouts in 123 at-bats. Not only is Pence showing he has plenty left in the tank for fantasy owners, he might be flirting with an All-Star Game berth at this point.

    From RotoBaller

Andrew Heaney May 26 8:40pm ET

Los Angeles Angels starter Andrew Heaney struck out eight batter through five innings of work in the Angels 7-6 win over the Rangers. Heaney allowed two runs but did not earn the win in his first start of the season. Heaney went 9-10 last season with a 4.15 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 180 strikeouts in exactly 180 innings. The Angels rotation is an absolute dumpster fire right now so the hope is that the 27-year-old lefty can possibly stabilize things moving forward. Expectations, however, need to be tempered from a fantasy perspective as Heaney is no more than a middle of the rotation starter heading into his next start.

    From RotoBaller

Ariel Jurado May 26 8:40pm ET

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Ariel Jurado allowed two earned runs, six hits and two walks with three strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision and quality start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels. He threw just 54 of his 94 pitches for strikes, but managed to limit the damage. However, the bullpen was an absolute train wreck, as Jeffrey Springs followed Jurado and allowed four earned runs and four hits without recording an out in 15 pitches to take the relief loss, and Kyle Dowdy allowed an unearned run with two wild pitches and an intentional walk while recording just two outs. Jurado will look for better relief from his teammates on Friday against the visiting Royals.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Yastrzemski May 26 8:30pm ET

San Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski collected two singles, a double and a run scored in Sunday's 6-2 home loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 28-year-old grandson of Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski spent seven seasons in the minors before getting the call to the bigs. As luck has it, he'll likely get a chance to play in Baltimore in the upcoming week, facing the organization he spent seven seasons with as a minor leaguer. Despite the three-hit game and the famous last name, he is only worth a look in deeper NL-only fantasy leagues at the time being.

    From RotoBaller

David Fletcher May 26 8:30pm ET

Los Angeles Angels third baseman David Fletcher went 3-for-4 with a run scored in the Angels 7-6 win over the Rangers on Sunday. Fletcher has carved out a nice role for himself on the Angels this season, a player that can play a multitude of positions and can hit anywhere in the lineup. He now has hits in 15 of his last 19 games and has backed up a strong start to his season by slashing .313/.367/.482 in the month of May. He should continue to get regular playing time but buyer beware from a fantasy perspective. His exit velocity (84.2) on balls hits is well below league average and is hitting only .250 with runners in scoring position this season. Fletcher is, however, a productive player right now and could serve as a depth piece on fantasy teams in deeper formats and AL-only leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Kris Bryant May 26 8:23pm ET

Updating a previous report, Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant (upper body) exited against the Cincinnati Reds Sunday, May 25, with an upper-body injury, but he has been cleared to travel for the upcoming series with the Houston Astros.

Shaun Anderson May 26 8:20pm ET

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Shaun Anderson allowed six runs - four earned - and nine hits with a walk and a strikeout over five innings in a loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. While two errors by his defense certainly didn't help his cause, he also uncorked two wild pitches while throwing first-pitch strikes to just 16 of the 25 batters he faced while throwing 53 of his 80 pitches for strikes. Anderson might get another start Saturday in Baltimore in a potentially favorable start, but only those in the deepest of NL-only fantasy leagues and those seeking low-cost DFS options will want to pay him any mind.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Trout May 26 8:20pm ET

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout went 2-for-3, including his 12th home run of the season, in the Angels 7-6 win over the Rangers on Sunday. Trout smoked a pitch clear over the center field fence to get the Angels on the board in the first inning. After a minor offensive lull following his return from a groin injury, the Trout that fantasy owners have come to love is back in full force. He now has an extra-base hit in seven of his last nine games, posting three home runs and five doubles during that span. His OPS for the season now stands at a very robust 1.045 and is slugging a fantastic .615 in the month of May. Trout is must-start in all formats and an elite DFS option heading into next week.

    From RotoBaller

Marcus Stroman May 26 8:20pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman allowed one run on four hits through five innings of work during a 10-1 win over the San Diego Padres on Sunday afternoon. Stroman only struck out two batters while walking one. The 28-year-old now owns a 3-6 record to go along with a 2.74 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 57/26 K/BB rate. Stroman's low strikeout totals limit his fantasy upside, but he has only allowed three runs over his past 17 innings. He will try to keep things rolling against the Colorado Rockies in his next projected start.

    From RotoBaller

Luke Weaver May 26 8:20pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Luke Weaver was forced to leave his start against the Giants on Sunday after allowing a single to Buster Posey in the sixth inning due to right forearm tightness. According to MLB's Steve Gilbert, the injury could be a precursor to a more serious injury so we will have to wait and see. Weaver, who picked up the victory in the D-backs 6-2 win, was rolling along before the injury as he allowed just one run on six hits while also striking out six in five innings of work. The 25-year-old is in the midst of the best season of his career, compiling a 4-3 record with a 3.03 ERA along with a 1.11 WHIP and a .233 batting average against. If Weaver is forced to miss any time, right-hander Zack Godley (1-4, 7.36 ERA), who was recently sent to the bullpen, may be a candidate to replace him in the rotation.

    From RotoBaller

Gerrit Cole May 26 8:20pm ET

Houston Astros starter Gerrit Cole will face an old division foe when the Astros take on the Cubs in Houston beginning Monday. It has been an up-and-down season thus far for the veteran hurler but comes into Monday's matchup with favorable career numbers against the Cubs. In 14 career starts, Cole is 9-3 lifetime against the Cubs with a 2.50 ERA with an average of 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings. Cole has really struggled at home this season and already has allowed eight home runs at Minute Maid Park in only 31 1/3 innings pitched. Nonetheless, the right-hander will be an above average DFS play for Monday.

    From RotoBaller

Luke Weaver May 26 8:13pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks RHP Luke Weaver (forearm) was removed from his start against the San Francisco Giants Sunday, May 25, with right forearm tightness.
