Jay Bruce Jun 19 5:00pm ET

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Jay Bruce (hamstring) is batting fifth and playing left field in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader in Washington. Bruce had missed four games including the first half of the twin bill Wednesday, but his bat in the lineup is a welcome sight as he's been very good after being traded. Since arriving in Philadelphia, Bruce is hitting .306 with a .778 slugging percentage. Despite being back in the lineup, it may be wise for owners to leave Bruce on the bench for one more game as he'll need to face Max Scherzer in his first game back.

Trey Mancini Jun 19 4:53pm ET

Baltimore Orioles OF Trey Mancini (elbow) left the game early Wednesday, June 19, because of a left elbow contusion.

Sean Poppen Jun 19 4:53pm ET

Minnesota Twins RP Blake Parker was placed on the family medical emergency list Wednesday, June 19. The team also selected the contract of RP Sean Poppen from Class AAA Rochester and transferred RP Adalberto Mejia (calf) to the 60-day injured list.

Cesar Puello Jun 19 4:53pm ET

Los Angeles Angels OF Cesar Puello was traded to the Miami Marlins Wednesday, June 19, in exchange for cash considerations.

Cesar Puello Jun 19 4:53pm ET

Los Angeles Angels OF Cesar Puello was acquired by the Miami Marlins Wednesday, June 19, in exchange for cash considerations. The team also designated INF/OF Rosell Herrera for assignment.

Blake Snell Jun 19 4:50pm ET

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell was rocked by the Yankees Wednesday giving up six runs while only recording one out before being pulled from the game. This is now back-to-back bad starts for the reigning Cy Young award winner. Snell dug his own grave in this one by walking four batters which is unusual for him as he came into the game with a 7.9 percent walk rate. Despite his 4.40 ERA, Snell is still a must-start pitcher. His 15.4 home run to fly ball rate should come down towards his career mark of 10 percent and his .327 BABIP against should also normalize. His 18.8 swinging strike rate is still easily the best in the Majors. He'll try to rebound in a tough matchup Tuesday vs the Twins.

Jesse Winker Jun 19 4:40pm ET

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker had a nice afternoon for his team in a 3-2 win over the Houston Astros. Winker went 3-for-4 with an RBI in the win. He emerged as the hero of the day as his walk-off single gave Cincinnati the comeback win in the ninth inning. Winker is now hitting .251 with a .791 OPS, 12 homers, 32 runs, and 25 RBI on the season. He has caught fire over his past seven games, hitting .421 with two homers over that span. Winker is a starting-quality fantasy outfielder in National League-only leagues.

Tyler Mahle Jun 19 4:40pm ET

Cincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle came through for his team in a tough matchup against the Houston Astros on Wednesday. Mahle pitched seven innings of two-run ball while racking up seven strikeouts and walking just one. Despite the excellent outing, Mahle had to settle for a no-decision, keeping his record at 2-7 with a 4.17 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 80 strikeouts in 77 2/3 innings of work. Mahle has taken a big step forward this season, posting a career-high 9.30 strikeouts per nine innings. He is on the radar as a quality streaming option in plus matchups.

Trey Mancini Jun 19 4:30pm ET

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini left the game after being hit by a pitch in the left arm Wednesday afternoon in Oakland. The extent of the injury is not currently known, but Mancini was in obvious pain around home plate and left the game holding his arm. Chris Davis came into the game to pinch run and take over at the cold corner. Mancini was quietly having a nice season with a .304 average and a robust .558 slugging percentage. He was leading the O's in home runs and runs scored and the favorite to be the team's All-Star representative. His status will likely be updated after the game ends.

Zach Eflin Jun 19 4:20pm ET

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin gave up three runs, two earned, in six innings but was saddled with the loss Wednesday at the Nationals. Eflin struck out seven batters and walked three in his third straight quality start. Eflin is not quite as good as his 2.83 ERA, his FIP and xFIP are both well over four, but he's doing enough other things well to warrant an add if he's available. He's generating ground balls at a 43 percent rate and only walking 5.8 percent of batters. He should be started in his next start Tuesday vs the Mets.

Rosell Herrera Jun 19 4:03pm ET

Los Angeles Angels OF Cesar Puello was acquired by the Miami Marlins Wednesday, June 19, in exchange for cash considerations. The team also designated INF/OF Rosell Herrera for assignment.

Patrick Corbin Jun 19 4:00pm ET

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Patrick Corbin pitched seven innings of one-run ball Wednesday afternoon in a 6-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. Corbin, who entered the game with an 11.37 ERA in his past three starts, allowed a solo home run to Scott Kingery in the first inning, but settled down from then on. Corbin allowed four hits and walked three while striking out eight in the outing, which dropped his ERA from 4.11 to 3.90 and improved his record to 6-5. His next start will likely come against the Miami Marlins, where he is an easy start in fantasy.

    From RotoBaller

Juan Soto Jun 19 4:00pm ET

Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, an RBI, a walk, and a stolen base in Washington's 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in game one of a doubleheader Wednesday. He is now hitting .294/.393/.502 on the year. The steal was Soto's fourth of the season (in four attempts) in 62 games after he posted only five in 116 games last season. If he reaches double figures this season it will only add to his status as a top fantasy outfielder who should be in the fantasy lineup every day he's in the real one.

    From RotoBaller

Brian Dozier Jun 19 4:00pm ET

Washington Nationals second baseman Brian Dozier and outfielder Gerardo Parra drove in five of the team's six runs in a 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday in the first game of a doubleheader. Both had an RBI double, Parra in the fourth inning and Dozer in the seventh, before they hit back-to-back home runs in the eighth inning. Neither is a great fantasy asset; Dozier (.233/.317/.430, 11 HR) is playable in deeper leagues and NL-only while Parra (.217/.281/.362) is a stretch in any format.
