Diamondbacks' 3B Eduardo Escobar scored 38.5 fantasy points going 8-for-22 with three home runs and 10 RBIs in five games this week. Escobar is owned in 62.01% of mixed leagues.

Byron Buxton May 19 6:52am ET

Twins' CF Byron Buxton scored 32.5 fantasy points going 7-for-23 with three home runs and 11 RBIs in six games this week. Buxton is owned only in 43.50% of mixed leagues.

Logan Forsythe May 19 6:36am ET

Texas' 2B Logan Forsythe scored 27.5 fantasy points going 8-for-15 and six RBIs in five games this week. Forsythe is owned only in 0.61% of mixed leagues.

Johnny Cueto May 19 2:03am ET

San Francisco Giants RHP Johnny Cueto (elbow) reportedly threw very well during a bullpen session Saturday, May 18, and is in 'about the best shape I've seen him in,' according to manager Bruce Bochy, who added 'you've got to believe he'll be pitching before the season is over.'

Shawn Kelley May 19 1:53am ET

Texas Rangers RH Shawn Kelley (throat) recently revealed he underwent surgery Thursday, May 16, to have two lumps removed from his vocal cords. Doctors are in the process of performing a biopsy on the masses to determine if they are malignant and expect to know the results sometime next week.

John Means May 19 1:20am ET

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means fell to 5-4 in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Indians. Means pitched five innings, allowing three runs on five hits (including a two-run home run) and three walks with a strikeout. The 26-year-old has been a surprise success this season, posting a 2.68 ERA with 34 strikeouts and 13 walks in 43 2/3 IP. However, his 4.28 SIERA suggests that he has been getting lucky and that his numbers could regressive for the worse. He will next face the Rockies in dreaded Coors Field, where only but the best pitchers should be sat.

    From RotoBaller

Trey Mancini May 19 1:00am ET

Baltimore Orioles first baseman/outfielder provided the team's only run in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Indians, going 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Mancini took Adam Plutko deep for his 10th long ball of the season. Mancini has been the O's best offensive producer and fantasy option and now has a .310/.357/.571 slash line with 21 RBI. He should be in fantasy owners' lineups at all times.

Danny Santana May 18 10:53pm ET

Texas Rangers OF Danny Santana (ankle) exited against the St. Louis Cardinals after being hit by a pitch Saturday, May 18. X-rays came back negative, and he has been diagnosed with a bruised right ankle.

Antonio Senzatela May 18 8:50pm ET

Colorado Rockies pitcher Antonio Senzatela did his best to fool everyone into thinking he had a good outing on Saturday, but he let one too many runs sneak in to escape without the loss. Senzatela threw five innings of two-run ball while making the wrong end of a highlight reel as Bryce Harper murdered a ball more than 460 feet to center field, but he was lucky to get out of there with just those runs scoring. Senzatela allowed five hits and four walks in his five innings, allowing two baserunners in four of the five frames. Senzatela is the epitome of the Colorado pitcher of old, one who shouldn't be owned because runs have a way of magically appearing on the scoreboard out of thin air. That said, he should catch the light-hitting Orioles next outing, so truly desperate owners could roll those dice if they're real gamblers.

    From RotoBaller

David Dahl May 18 8:50pm ET

Colorado Rockies outfielder David Dahl is currently hitting .296 after he went 1-for-4 on Saturday against Philly. He's living on borrowed time though. Dahl is sporting a strikeout rate of more than 33%, and he's being buoyed by a ridiculous .437 BABIP. He's hitting the ball softer than he ever has in the majors, he's walking less often than in previous seasons, and he's only hit three home runs, less than supposedly light-hitting teammate Raimel Tapia. It's not entirely clear what's holding Dahl back, though it's likely a health issue since he always has a health issue, but either way, owners should expect his pleasantly high batting average to drop precipitously in the future. If he can't find his way to more contact, his depressed power numbers may be waiting for the batting average to join them in Underperforming Land.

    From RotoBaller

Raimel Tapia May 18 8:40pm ET

Colorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia was the only member of the team to record more than one hit on Saturday against the Phillies. Tapia wasn't able to turn either single into a run scored as the Rockies lost, but he pulled his batting average up to .302 on the season and hit safely for the seventh time in the last eight games that he's started. Tapia is still officially in competition with Ian Desmond and David Dahl for playing time, but his performance has earned him five starts in the last seven days. His underlying numbers show some small spots of concern, like the fact that he's striking out 30% of the time and his BABIP is quite high, but his tendency to put the ball on the ground and his speed should help defend against too much regression on that front. For now, it looks like Tapia is a solid candidate for deep fantasy teams.

    From RotoBaller

Ryan McMahon May 18 8:20pm ET

Colorado Rockies infielder Ryan McMahon was up against Garrett Hampson in spring training for the second base job, but he seems to have won that since Hampson's been sent down after a terrible first month. Unfortunately, instead of getting a breather, McMahon's just gotten more celebrated competition. Top prospect Brendan Rodgers was called up to play second base, and manager Bud Black has told reporters he intends to get a good long look at Rodgers. McMahon hasn't done anything impressive so far this season, but he may end up being another victim of the ridiculous game Colorado has played with their prospects. In previous seasons, youngsters like David Dahl, Raimel Tapia, McMahon, Hampson, and now Rodgers have all been jerked around between the minor and major leagues while playing time has instead been handed to poorly performing veterans like Ian Desmond, Gerardo Parra, Pat Valaika, Mark Reynolds, and Carlos Gonzalez. While it looks bad for McMahon at the moment, there's no predicting how Rockies management is really going to handle Rodgers and McMahon. Any believers should wait and see for now.

    From RotoBaller

Yasiel Puig May 18 8:00pm ET

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Yasiel Puig went 2-for-4 with two RBI in a 4-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. Puig ripped a two-run single off of Los Angeles starter Walker Buehler in the third inning. The veteran outfielder is now hitting .210 with seven homers, 17 runs, 25 RBI, and seven steals. He got off to a slow start this season but is hitting .273 over his past 15 games. Puig's power/speed potential makes him a solid option in all fantasy formats.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Mahle May 18 8:00pm ET

Cincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle came through for his team in a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. Mahle pitched six shutout innings, striking out five and walking two on the way to winning his first game of the season. The young right-hander has pitched well this season but has just a 1-5 record to show for his efforts. Mahle will take a 3.51 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 54 strikeouts in 51 1/3 innings into his next start, which will come against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday.

    From RotoBaller

Justin Turner May 18 7:33pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (shin) is not expected to be placed on the 10-day disabled list, according to manager Dave Roberts.

Clay Buchholz May 18 6:43pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays RHP Clay Buchholz (shoulder) recently underwent an MRI on his shoulder, which revealed a Grade 2 teres major strain. He is scheduled to receive a second opinion next week.

Giancarlo Stanton May 18 6:33pm ET

New York Yankees OF Giancarlo Stanton (biceps, shoulder) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Class A Tampa Monday, May 20.
