Brandon Crawford May 24 6:00pm ET

San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey, first baseman Brandon Belt and shortstop Brandon Crawford (eye) are all out of the starting lineup on Friday against Diamondbacks left-handed starting pitcher Robbie Ray. Stephen Vogt is catching and hitting eighth, Tyler Austin is at first and batting third and Donovan Solano is at the 6 and hitting second. Posey gets the day off after an extra-inning game on Thursday, while Belt takes a seat against the southpaw. Really none of the replacements are very intriguing for DFS purposes, especially Vogt at the bottom of the order. Ray, on the other hand, will be a great choice as a daily starter.

David Peralta May 24 6:00pm ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed outfielder David Peralta (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Friday with right AC joint inflammation and recalled outfielder Tim Locastro and infielder Kevin Cron from Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move. It's a shame for Peralta owners, as he was hitting .309/.357/.524 with seven homers, 28 runs and 30 RBI in 191 at-bats. Keep him stashed everywhere, as he contributes across the board (other than steals) when healthy. Cron is the one to add in deep mixed and NL-only leagues, as he was leading the minor leagues with 21 home runs and 62 RBI in 44 games for Reno. His prodigious power is intriguing if it translates to the next level and he plays enough. Blake Swihart and Locastro figure to split time in left field with Peralta sidelined.

David Peralta May 24 5:53pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks OF David Peralta (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, May 24, because of right AC joint inflammation. The team also recalled OF Tim Locastro and INF Kevin Cron from Class AAA Reno.

Matt Kemp May 24 5:43pm ET

Free-agent OF Matt Kemp (Reds) signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets Friday, May 24, according to sources. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Matt Kemp May 24 5:40pm ET

The New York Mets signed free-agent outfielder Matt Kemp to a minor league deal on Friday, according to sources. The Mets are desperate in their outfield and are starting J.D. Davis, Carlos Gomez and Rajai Davis on Friday with both Michael Conforto (concussion) and Brandon Nimmo (neck) on the injured list and Yoenis Cespedes (ankle) out for the season. Kemp, who hit .200/.210/.283 in 60 at-bats for the Reds this year, is unlikely to make much of an impact in New York or for fantasy teams. He should continue to be left to the waiver wire.

Khris Davis May 24 5:33pm ET

Oakland Athletics OF Khris Davis (hip, oblique) was officially placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, May 24, because of a hip and oblique contusion. The team also recalled OF Skye Bolt from Class AAA Las Vegas.

Oakland Athletics OF Khris Davis (hip, oblique) was officially placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, May 24, because of a hip and oblique contusion. The team also recalled OF Skye Bolt from Class AAA Las Vegas.

Ryan Carpenter May 24 5:30pm ET

Detroit Tigers pitcher Ryan Carpenter will be called up to start on Saturday against the Mets, according to manager Ron Gardenhire. Even in a juicy matchup against the banged-up Mets this weekend, the left-handed Carpenter is a poor streaming candidate in deeper leagues. The 28-year-old has a 13.00 ERA, 2.22 WHIP and seven K's in his nine innings over two starts for Detroit this season. There's no upside here. Stay away.

Khris Davis May 24 5:20pm ET

The Oakland Athletics officially placed outfielder Khris Davis (hip, oblique) on the 10-day injured list with a left hip/oblique contusion on Friday and recalled outfielder Skye Bolt from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. The move is retroactive to May 22. Davis just hasn't been right since initially suffering the hip injury on May 5. The elite slugger is batting .248/.318/.497 on the season with 12 homers, 23 runs and 29 RBI. Keep him stashed everywhere and hope for a quick return. Chad Pinder and Mark Canha will both benefit from extra playing time while he's out and are worth a pickup in deep mixed leagues. Bolt figures to see sporadic playing time.

Jimmy Nelson May 24 5:10pm ET

The Milwaukee Brewers activated starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson (elbow) from the 10-day injured list on Friday and then optioned him to Triple-A San Antonio. The 29-year-old had a 4.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 22 strikeouts and nine walks in 19 innings in his four outings (three starts) for San Antonio on his rehab assignment. The Brewers want to see a little more from him on the farm before they re-insert him into their starting rotation. The right-hander didn't pitch at all in 2018 but went 12-6 with a nice 3.49 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and career-high 10.2 K/9 in 29 starts for the Brew Crew in 2017. He should become a streaming option in deep mixed leagues when he's back in the rotation in Milwaukee.

    From RotoBaller

Jed Lowrie May 24 5:10pm ET

New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway said that third baseman Jed Lowrie (hamstring, knee) is a ways away from a return. Lowrie has yet to make his season debut in his first year in New York, and it's fair to wonder at this point if he'll even make it back before the All-Star break. Those that spent a draft pick on him have to be sorely disappointed. Whenever he does make his season debut, he might be fighting for playing time with the likes of Jeff McNeil, J.D. Davis and Todd Frazier. Those in mixed leagues can leave him to the waiver wire.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Clevinger May 24 5:00pm ET

Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Mike Clevinger (back) threw 35 pitches on Friday and is heading to extended spring training to ramp up his activities before beginning a minor league rehab assignment. The 28-year-old right-hander hadn't allowed an earned run in his two starts this year while striking out 22 in 12 innings before his injury. Clevinger has fantasy ace potential when he's healthy, so he shouldn't be available on any waiver wires. Barring any setbacks on his rehab assignment, the right-hander should be ready to return around the middle of June.

    From RotoBaller

Ryan Braun May 24 5:00pm ET

Milwaukee Brewers outfielders Christian Yelich (back) and Ryan Braun (knee) are both back in the starting lineup on Friday against Phillies starting pitcher Jerad Eickhoff after missing time this week. Yelich is in right field and hitting second, while Braun is batting third and playing left field. Yelich is once again in the running for the National League MVP so far this year. Both he and Braun are excellent choices for your daily lineups to kick off the series against the Phils this evening.

    From RotoBaller

Aaron Altherr May 24 4:53pm ET

New York Mets OF Aaron Altherr was added to the active roster Friday, May 24. The Mets also optioned RP Ryan O'Rourke to Class AAA Syracuse.

Zac Rosscup May 24 4:53pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and RP Thomas Pannone were recalled from Class AAA Buffalo on Friday, May 24. 2B Cavan Biggio also had his contract selected from Buffalo, while RP Zac Rosscup was added to the roster. To make room for the four, the Blue Jays optioned INF Richard Urena and OF Billy McKinney to Buffalo, designated RP Ryan Feierabend for assignment and placed RP Elvis Luciano on the bereavement list.

Rafael Devers May 24 4:50pm ET

Boston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Martinez (back, illness) is returning to the designated hitter spot and is batting cleanup against Astros starting pitcher Wade Miley on Friday. Martinez has been out since Sunday with a back injury and an illness. Get the elite slugger back into all fantasy lineups against the southpaw. Third baseman Rafael Devers will take a seat against the lefty, with Eduardo Nunez at the hot corner and batting seventh. Nunez is a boom/bust DFS play with limited upside on Friday. Steve Pearce, who recently hit his first homer of the year, will be a sleeper play at first base and in the fifth spot in the lineup against the lefty.

    From RotoBaller

George Springer May 24 4:50pm ET

Houston Astros outfielder George Springer (back) is back in the lineup in right field and is hitting leadoff on Friday against Red Sox left-handed starting pitcher Chris Sale. Michael Brantley will take a seat against the southpaw, with Josh Reddick in left field and batting seventh. Tyler White is the designated hitter and is batting eighth. Springer had been out since Sunday with lower back stiffness, but the All-Star outfielder is back in there and should be back in all fantasy starting lineups as well, even in the tough matchup. Reddick and White should be faded in DFS against Sale, who has looked more like his Cy Young self in recent outings.

    From RotoBaller

Jimmy Nelson May 24 4:43pm ET

Milwaukee Brewers RHP Jimmy Nelson (elbow) was activated from the 10-day injured list and optioned to Class AAA San Antonio on Friday, May 24.
