Brandon Nimmo May 21 11:13pm ET

New York Mets OF Brandon Nimmo (neck) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on a neck injury that has bothered him off and on since he sat out two games because of it in early April.

Brandon Nimmo May 21 11:10pm ET

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (neck), who was scratched from the lineup on Tuesday, will undergo an MRI exam on Wednesday. He said he hasn't recovered from the neck injury that cost him two games in April, and it has bothered him ever since. Nimmo hasn't really been good all year and is hitting .136 (6-for-44) with no homers and five RBI in the month of May. He's right at the Mendoza Line (.200) for the season with three long balls, 14 RBI and one steal in 161 plate appearances. It's likely he's been dropped already in most mixed leagues.

Dylan Covey May 21 11:10pm ET

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Covey only lasted four innings in a tough matchup versus the Houston Astros Tuesday night. Covey allowed four hits, four runs, four walks and struck out one. Covey now owns a 5.31 ERA and is scheduled to face the Twins in a tough matchup Sunday. The right-hander can be left on waivers in all formats.

Mitch Moreland May 21 11:00pm ET

Boston Red Sox first baseman Mitch Moreland hit a solo home run on Tuesday in the Sox loss to the Blue Jays. Although its only been a week, Morelands bat has cooled off a bit from the beginning of the month. Still, hes been one of the Red Sox biggest producers this year. Hes doing it with a career high barrel rate, exit velocity, hard hit percentage, and walk rate. Moreland is only owned in 34 percent of Yahoo leagues despite all of this. Its likely due to a history of some drop off In his production as the season goes on. If you need power, his bat fits nicely in the heart of the Sox lineup against righties. Ride the hot streak and hope it lasts, but be aware that if history repeats itself regression may be coming.

Roberto Perez May 21 10:53pm ET

Cleveland Indians C Roberto Perez (head) is reportedly undergoing evaluations for a head injury after leaving the game Tuesday, May 21, against the Oakland Athletics.

Francisco Cervelli May 21 10:53pm ET

Pittsburgh Pirates C Francisco Cervelli (chest) was removed for precautionary reasons Tuesday, May 21, versus the Colorado Rockies with to an upper chest contusion.

Kris Bryant May 21 10:50pm ET

Chicago Cubs third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant went 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored Tuesday. Bryant continues to get on base and looks to be fully healthy after a rough 2018 campaign. The former MVP is now hitting .275 with 11 home runs and 32 RBI.

Javier Baez May 21 10:50pm ET

Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez (heel) pinch-hit on Tuesday and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Baez missed Mondays game and didnt start on Tuesday with a heel contusion, but that didnt stop El Mago from driving in the winning run with a RBI single. Baez has a chance to return to the lineup on Wednesday versus Cole Irvin.

    J.D. Davis May 21 10:50pm ET

Stepping up to the plate as a pinch-hitter for Zack Wheeler in the seventh inning, J.D. Davis had a huge moment. The 26-year-old drilled a three-run home run that put his club up a run. Davis is currently on pace for the best season of his young career, batting .283 through 39 games. This was Davis' first three-RBI game of the season and the home run was arguably the biggest of his season. The home run put the Mets ahead and while they found themselves trailing afterwards, they wound up walking off with a 6-5 victory.

Jose Quintana May 21 10:50pm ET

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jose Quintana threw six scoreless innings in a tough no-decision Tuesday night. Quintana only allowed two hits, but walked three batters and struck out four. Quintana now owns a 3.30 ERA and has thrown the ball very well this season. The lefty is scheduled to face the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday and is worth starting in most matchups.

Pedro Baez May 21 10:43pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers RP Pedro Baez (leg) was diagnosed with 'a right upper leg contusion' after taking a line drive off his right knee Tuesday, May 21, against the Tampa Bay Rays. Baez was unable to put much weight on the leg as he was helped off the field.

Jalen Beeks May 21 10:40pm ET

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jalen Beeks was tagged for five earned runs on eight hits as the bulk pitcher on Tuesday. He wasnt recommended to stream against a tough Dodgers lineup and we saw why in this one. He did manage to strike out four, but streaming Beeks should be limited to appearances against much weaker lineups. Hunter Wood was the opener in this one and threw two innings without allowing a run and striking out three. Its possible that Beeks could get a straight start with the Rays limited off days coming up, which could add value. The next appearance for Beeks will likely be a rough Blue Jays lineup that would be a much friendlier stream.

Willie Calhoun May 21 10:40pm ET

Texas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun (quadriceps) left the game early on Tuesday after six innings with tightness in his left quadriceps. He'll be re-evaluated on Wednesday. Calhoun was 0-for-2 before leaving on Tuesday and is 10-for-23 (.435) and has reached base six times in 12 plate appearances since being called up last week. Danny Santana entered the game in center field to replace Calhoun on Tuesday evening. Calhoun has been great for those in deep mixed leagues who picked him up, so hopefully this is only a day-to-day type of injury.

Francisco Lindor May 21 10:40pm ET

Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor hit a home run in his first at bat on Tuesday, ending up 1-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. He struck out twice, but fantasy owners will be okay to settle for his seventh home run. His slash line sits at .286/.331/.509.

Pete Alonso May 21 10:40pm ET

After Jeurys Familia allowed a pair of runs to score, coughing up a New York Mets lead, the offense needed to step up late. Rookie Peter Alonso was the man for the job, as he drilled a game-tying home run in the eighth, giving his club new life as they traverse a perilous time during their season. While it was Alonso's lone hit of the game, it spearheaded the club's late comeback and eventual victory. The 24-year-old cooled off during the latter stages of April and has not been successful this month, batting just .200. On Tuesday, however, his one hit was more than plenty.

Trevor Bauer May 21 10:30pm ET

Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer was okay on Tuesday, taking a loss against the Oakland A's. Bauer tossed six innings, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks. He struck out six and allowed a home run, throwing 123 pitches. Bauer throws a lot of pitches every time out, and so far it hasn't been an issue. His record dropped to 4-3 and his ERA went up to 3.95.

    From RotoBaller

Zack Wheeler May 21 10:30pm ET

While the New York Mets walked off in victory Tuesday night, starter Zack Wheeler did enough to earn a win. The 28-year-old went seven, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out six. A pair of home runs conceded were a major factor in his performance. Wheeler went down early thanks to a second-inning home run and after his club tied the game, his two runs surrendered in the seventh put him down again. In the same inning, however, the Mets took the lead only for the bullpen to cough that up. While his record remains 3-3, his ERA now stands at 4.74.
