Kris Bryant May 26 8:23pm ET

Updating a previous report, Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant (upper body) exited against the Cincinnati Reds Sunday, May 25, with an upper-body injury, but he has been cleared to travel for the upcoming series with the Houston Astros.

Shaun Anderson May 26 8:20pm ET

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Shaun Anderson allowed six runs - four earned - and nine hits with a walk and a strikeout over five innings in a loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. While two errors by his defense certainly didn't help his cause, he also uncorked two wild pitches while throwing first-pitch strikes to just 16 of the 25 batters he faced while throwing 53 of his 80 pitches for strikes. Anderson might get another start Saturday in Baltimore in a potentially favorable start, but only those in the deepest of NL-only fantasy leagues and those seeking low-cost DFS options will want to pay him any mind.

Mike Trout May 26 8:20pm ET

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout went 2-for-3, including his 12th home run of the season, in the Angels 7-6 win over the Rangers on Sunday. Trout smoked a pitch clear over the center field fence to get the Angels on the board in the first inning. After a minor offensive lull following his return from a groin injury, the Trout that fantasy owners have come to love is back in full force. He now has an extra-base hit in seven of his last nine games, posting three home runs and five doubles during that span. His OPS for the season now stands at a very robust 1.045 and is slugging a fantastic .615 in the month of May. Trout is must-start in all formats and an elite DFS option heading into next week.

    From RotoBaller

Marcus Stroman May 26 8:20pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman allowed one run on four hits through five innings of work during a 10-1 win over the San Diego Padres on Sunday afternoon. Stroman only struck out two batters while walking one. The 28-year-old now owns a 3-6 record to go along with a 2.74 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 57/26 K/BB rate. Stroman's low strikeout totals limit his fantasy upside, but he has only allowed three runs over his past 17 innings. He will try to keep things rolling against the Colorado Rockies in his next projected start.

    From RotoBaller

Luke Weaver May 26 8:20pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Luke Weaver was forced to leave his start against the Giants on Sunday after allowing a single to Buster Posey in the sixth inning due to right forearm tightness. According to MLB's Steve Gilbert, the injury could be a precursor to a more serious injury so we will have to wait and see. Weaver, who picked up the victory in the D-backs 6-2 win, was rolling along before the injury as he allowed just one run on six hits while also striking out six in five innings of work. The 25-year-old is in the midst of the best season of his career, compiling a 4-3 record with a 3.03 ERA along with a 1.11 WHIP and a .233 batting average against. If Weaver is forced to miss any time, right-hander Zack Godley (1-4, 7.36 ERA), who was recently sent to the bullpen, may be a candidate to replace him in the rotation.

    From RotoBaller

Gerrit Cole May 26 8:20pm ET

Houston Astros starter Gerrit Cole will face an old division foe when the Astros take on the Cubs in Houston beginning Monday. It has been an up-and-down season thus far for the veteran hurler but comes into Monday's matchup with favorable career numbers against the Cubs. In 14 career starts, Cole is 9-3 lifetime against the Cubs with a 2.50 ERA with an average of 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings. Cole has really struggled at home this season and already has allowed eight home runs at Minute Maid Park in only 31 1/3 innings pitched. Nonetheless, the right-hander will be an above average DFS play for Monday.

    From RotoBaller

Luke Weaver May 26 8:13pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks RHP Luke Weaver (forearm) was removed from his start against the San Francisco Giants Sunday, May 25, with right forearm tightness.

Justin Smoak May 26 8:10pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak was 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI during a 10-1 win over the San Diego Padres on Sunday afternoon. Smoak is starting to heat up at the plate as he has five HRs and nine RBI over his past seven games. The 32-year-old slugger now has 11 HRs on the season to go along with 30 RBI and a modest .224 average. Look for Smoak to continue to produce as players like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Cavan Biggio offer him more protection in the lineup. He is worthy of ownership in all deeper mixed formats.

    From RotoBaller

Cavan Biggio May 26 8:10pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Cavan Biggio picked up the first three hits of his MLB career on Sunday during a 10-1 win over the San Diego Padres. He hit a solo home run and picked up two RBI in the contest. Biggio is the latest Blue Jays' prospect to get the call to the big leagues. He produced a .307 average with six homers, 25 RBI, and five stolen bases with Triple-A Buffalo this season. Biggio is worthy of an add in all deeper mixed formats as he will see steady playing time for the remainder of the season.

    From RotoBaller

Nick Ahmed May 26 8:00pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed went 2-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI in Sunday's 6-2 road win against the San Francisco Giants. He also picked up his third stole base of the season. Ahmed is now slashing .270/.327/.413, hitting safely in four straight games and six of the past seven. He has raised his average 26 points just since May 18. He'll look to keep it going Monday afternoon against RHP Jon Gray at Coors Field in Denver against the Colorado Rockies.

    From RotoBaller

Robinson Chirinos May 26 8:00pm ET

Houston Astros catcher Robinson Chirinos went 0-for-4 in the Astros 4-1 loss to the Red Sox on Sunday. The veteran backstop now has only two hits over his last 20 at-bats and is slashing .212/.382/.423 in the month of May after posting a .258/.351/.500 line in April. He is hitting only .186 over his last 15 games and his early-season offensive surge appears to be over. Fantasy owners looking for short-term help at the catching position should look elsewhere for now heading into next week.

    From RotoBaller

Eduardo Escobar May 26 8:00pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eduardo Escobar finished Sunday's 6-2 road win against the San Francisco Giants with three more hits across five at-bats. All three knocks were singles, and he added an RBI and a run scored. The switch-hitting hot corner man has now hit safely in five straight games, raising his average from .275 to .286 just since May 20 in a loss in San Diego. More importantly, he is working on a five-game streak with at least one RBI (eight total). He'll try and extend the streak in Monday's road game in Colorado opposite RHP Jon Gray. He has only two career at-bats vs. Gray, but he has a homer and two RBI.

    From RotoBaller

Carlos Correa May 26 8:00pm ET

Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa went 1-for-3 with one RBI in the Astros 4-1 loss to the Red Sox on Sunday. It was a quiet day for an otherwise dynamite Houston offense but Correa continues to drive in runs. The 24-year-old has now driven in 11 runs over his last 12 games as his resurgent season continues. Correa for the season is now slashing .295/.360/.547 with one triple, 11 home runs, 13 doubles, 26 runs scored and 35 runs driven in.

    From RotoBaller

Ketel Marte May 26 7:50pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte finished 2-for-4 with a solo home run to deep right-center field with a walk in Sunday's 6-2 road victory against the San Francisco Giants. The homer was Marte's 12th of the season, and he ended up homering in each outing in the three-game set while posting an extra-base hit in four straight outings, and five XBH over his past five outings. He is also working on a four-game streak with two or more hits heading into Monday's road game against RHP Jon Gray and the Colorado Rockies. Marte is currently on pace for 37 home runs and 115 RBI.

    From RotoBaller

Justin Verlander May 26 7:50pm ET

Houston Astros starter Justin Verlander allowed three runs on six hits through seven innings as the Red Sox edged the Astros 4-1 on Sunday. Verlander (8-2) struck out six but took his first loss since April 29. The right-hander allowed a solo home run to Rafael Devers but otherwise pitched well as the Astros offense was shut down in this one. Verlander still is having an elite season and will take a 2.38 ERA and a 0.74 WHIP into his next start.

    From RotoBaller

Tanner Roark May 26 7:50pm ET

Cincinnati Reds right-hander Tanner Roark pitched well in a 10-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. Roark pitched five shutout innings, striking out nine and scattering six hits. The veteran right-hander improved his record to 4-3 with a 3.20 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and 59 strikeouts in 56 1/3 innings of work. He has been a consistent performer for the Reds this season and is worth considering as a streamer in plus matchups. He will face the Washington Nationals, his old team, in his next time out.

    From RotoBaller

Greg Holland May 26 7:40pm ET

Arizona Diamondbacks closer Greg Holland needed just six pitches to record two outs for a tidy ninth inning in Sunday's 6-2 road win against the San Francisco Giants for his ninth save. With a four-run lead, reliever Matt Andriese got into some trouble with just four strikes in 11 pitches, issuing a walk and a hit to create a spot of trouble. Holland came on and splashed cold water on the uprising, lowering his ERA to 1.53. After allowing a run in three straight outings from May 3-9, Holland is back into form with four straight scoreless appearances. He has a 1.53 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and he has converted nine of his 10 save chances with 24 strikeouts over 17 2/3 innings.

    From RotoBaller

Nick Senzel May 26 7:40pm ET

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Senzel went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk, and four runs in a 10-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. The rookie outfielder improved his batting average to .256 with a .752 OPS, three homers, 15 runs, eight RBI, and five steals on the season. Regarded as the best prospect in the Cincinnati pipeline before the season, Senzel has mostly lived up to the hype over his first 90 MLB at-bats. He has the potential to be an impact bat in all fantasy formats going forward.

    From RotoBaller

Clayton Kershaw May 26 7:40pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw will face RHP Jacob deGrom and the New York Mets in a home game on Monday, and RHP Zach Eflin and the visiting Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday night in a two-start week for fantasy owners. While he is 4-0 with a 3.33 ERA, the Dodgers are a perfect 7-0 in his seven starts this season, and they have won 15 consecutive regular-season starts with Kershaw on the hill. There were some injury concerns about Kershaw during spring training, but reports of his demise were greatly exaggerated.

    From RotoBaller

Jake Odorizzi May 26 7:30pm ET

Minnesota Twins right-hander Jake Odorizzi picked up the win in a 7-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. Odorizzi pitched 5 1/3 shutout innings, striking out nine batters and allowing just two baserunners. The veteran right-hander has been excellent on the mound of late, allowing just three earned runs over his past three starts. Overall, he has a 7-2 record, 2.16 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 61 strikeouts in 58 1/3 innings of work. Odorizzi has worked himself into must-start territory with his strong pitching of late. He will take on the Tampa Bay Rays in his next start.
