Ryan Feierabend May 27 2:23am ET

Toronto Blue Jays LHP Ryan Feierabend cleared waivers Sunday, May 26 and was assigned outright to Triple-A Buffalo.

Genesis Cabrera May 27 2:13am ET

St. Louis Cardinals LHP Genesis Cabrera will be recalled from Triple-A Memphis to start Wednesday, May 29 against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Carlos Torres May 27 2:03am ET

The Detroit Tigers have agreed to terms with free-agent RHP Carlos Torres (Padres) on a minor-league deal, a source said Sunday, May 26.

Yadier Molina May 27 1:53am ET

St. Louis Cardinals C Yadier Molina (thumb) said Sunday, May 26, that a bruised right thumb was bothering him in the late innings against the Atlanta Braves, although he was able to finish the game. X-rays taken after were negative, and he expects to play Tuesday, May 28.

Jose Altuve May 26 11:20pm ET

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (hamstring) had a single and a run scored with two strikeouts across five at-bats at Triple-A Round Rock in his first game in a minor-league rehab assignment. The Express have a doubleheader and he is scheduled to play in one of the two games. If that goes well he will likely be back in the middle of the week before the team heads out of town for a road trip. Fantasy owners might want to play it safe and keep him reserved until he can officially return and prove his health. At the very least he will miss at least two of the team's six scheduled games in the upcoming week.

Genesis Cabrera May 26 11:10pm ET

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Genesis Cabrera will recalled from Triple-A Memphis to start Wednesday's road game against the Philadelphia Phillies, taking the rotation spot of the demoted Michael Wacha. Cabrera posted a 2-3 record, 6.35 ERA and 1.56 WHIP across 39 2/3 innings with 19 walks and 39 strikeouts in seven starts and two relief appearances for the Redbirds of the Pacific Coast League. Fantasy owners will want to avoid Cabrera, especially in a bandbox like Citizens Bank Park, until further notice.

    From RotoBaller

Aledmys Diaz May 26 11:10pm ET

Houston Astros infielder Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) is likely headed for the 10-day injured list after leaving Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox due to left hamstring discomfort, manager A.J. Hinch said after the game. Diaz was just sidelined earlier in the week with a left hamstring strain. Perhaps a week and a half off will get him back to full health. Fantasy owners who normally rely upon him in AL-only fantasy leagues will want to reserve him immediately.

    From RotoBaller

Kris Bryant May 26 11:00pm ET

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant (head/neck) was lifted from Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds in the sixth inning after a collision with teammate Jason Heyward. He has been cleared to travel with the team for their road series against the Houston Astros. That's a good sign, although it's no confirmation that he will be able to play. Still, it appears he has at least dodged a bullet and might not need a stint on the 10-day injured list. Fantasy owners might want to play it safe and reserve him just in case, as the Cubs have just six games on tap. If he misses any time, fantasy owners might be in a tough spot.

Tommy Pham May 26 10:40pm ET

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Tommy Pham went 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 6-3 road victory against the Cleveland Indians, running his hitting streak to 12 games. He is 15-for-49 (.306) with seven runs scored, three homers and seven RBI during what is now the longest active hitting streak in the majors after Philadelphia's Jean Segura saw his run snapped at 16 games in Milwaukee. Pham will look to keep it going on Monday night against RHP Aaron Sanchez and the visiting Toronto Blue Jays.

    From RotoBaller

Austin Meadows May 26 10:40pm ET

Tampa Bay Rays designated hitter Austin Meadows went 4-for-4 with a double, a solo home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Sunday's 6-3 road victory against the Cleveland Indians in the series finale. The homer was the 10th of the season for Meadows, who was acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates along with Tyler Glasnow for Chris Archer last July. Meadows is slashing a gaudy .341/.420/.659, emerging as a must-start fantasy option across the board, while Pirates GM Neal Huntington continues to kick himself.

    From RotoBaller

Jean Segura May 26 10:40pm ET

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jean Segura was hitless in three at-bats on Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers, snapping the longest active hitting streak in the majors at 16 games. Despite the hitless afternoon he is still 23-for-70 (.329) with three homers, nine RBI, six walks and 14 runs scored across the past 17 outings. He'll look to begin a new hitting streak on Tuesday evening against RHP Adam Wainwright and the visiting St. Louis Cardinals back at Citizens Bank Park. He is slashing .337/.381/.531 with a .912 OPS with 11 extra-base hits in 98 at-bats at home this season.

    From RotoBaller

Ramon Laureano May 26 10:30pm ET

Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano went 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in Sunday's 7-1 victory against the Seattle Mariners. The lone single was good enough to extend his hitting streak to nine consecutive games. He is hitting .371 (13-for-35) with six runs scored and one RBI during the streak, raising his average from .222 to .250 in the process. He did see his streak of five straight games with a double, and three consecutive outings with a run scored, come to an end. Laureano remains a decent fantasy option in AL-only fantasy leagues and long-term keeper formats.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Leake May 26 10:30pm ET

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Mike Leake allowed five earned runs, three hits and three walks with four walks and two homers allowed over 6 2/3 innings in a loss against the Oakland Athletics on Sunday. He threw 70 of his 106 pitches for strikes, including 17 first-pitch strikes to the 26 batters he faced while falling to 3-6. His ERA also rose from 4.93 from 4.000 over his past two outings, allowing 12 earned runs and 14 hits in just 11 2/3 innings. He'll try to right the ship Friday night against the Los Angeles Angels. Leake has just one win in six decisions across his past eight outings dating back to April 6.

    From RotoBaller

    Wei-Chung Wang May 26 10:10pm ET

Oakland Athletics left-handed pitcher Wei-Chung Wang had his contract purchased from Triple-A Las Vegas over the weekend. He was limited during Cactus League spring training play due to injury, but he showed well in the minors with a 3.75 ERA in 16 relief appearances. "Looks like he could get some lefties and righties and give you multiple innings," manager Bob Melvin said. "He's pitched two or three innings down there. Gives us a little more distance in the bullpen than it was up until yesterday." Wang will take the roster and bullpen spot of Fernando Rodney, who was DFA's over the weekend. No fantasy value here, but Wang is one to watch.

    From RotoBaller

Fernando Rodney May 26 10:10pm ET

The Oakland Athletics designated relief pitcher Fernando Rodney for assignment over the weekend, and they have seven days within the transaction to either trade or place him on irrevocable outright waivers. It just wasn't working this season for the veteran, who had a 9.42 ERA with opponents hitting .345 against him in 17 relief appearances. Manager Bob Melvin has gotten away from him over the past month. "Obviously some performance comes into play," Melvin said. "I will say that he's not used to pitching in a role like that. He's used to getting regular work, and we were not giving that to him." He is the current oldest player in the majors at 42, but his fastball was still clocked at 95-96 mph. He might latch on with another organization, but his days as a fantasy option are over.

    From RotoBaller

Jesus Luzardo May 26 10:00pm ET

Oakland Athletics pitcher Jesus Luzardo (shoulder) was able to throw 15 pitches during a live batting practice session on Saturday as he makes his way back from a strained left shoulder. He was clocked at 96 mph with his fastball, and the prospect is expected to return to minor-league game action at some point during the month of June. He is considered the team's top prospect, and he is worth scooping up in all long-term fantasy keeper leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Josh Phegley May 26 9:50pm ET

Oakland Athletics catcher Josh Phegley went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo home run and three RBI in Sunday's 7-1 victory against the visiting Seattle Mariners. The double was Phegley's sixth of the season, and the homer was his ninth, and most of his production has come out of the ninth spot in the order for manager Bob Melvin. Phegley is slashing .281/.326/.504, which is actually better than the likes of more heralded teammates like Matt Olson, Jurickson Profar, Marcus Semien, etc. Phegley has emerged as a decent fantasy backstop in AL-only leagues, and he is worth a look as a No. 2 option in deeper mixed formats at this point.

    From RotoBaller

Matt Chapman May 26 9:50pm ET

Oakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman finished 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Sunday's 7-1 victory against the Seattle Mariners. It was his second home run in as many games, and his fifth bomb in the month of May after belting seven homers in April. He'll try to keep up the power performance in Monday's series opener against the Los Angeles Angels, and it might come against former teammate Trevor Cahill, a pitcher who has served up 14 homers in just 49 innings. If you're a DFS player, ride the wave until Chapman starts to cool off.

    From RotoBaller

Brett Anderson May 26 9:40pm ET

Oakland Athletics left-handed starting pitcher Brett Anderson allowed just one earned run with five hits and four walks while striking out four batters over 6 1/3 innings in a victory Sunday against the Seattle Mariners, improving to 6-3. He threw 69 of his 110 pitches for strikes while throwing first-pitch strikes to 17 of his 26 batters. It was his first quality start in four outings dating back to a blowout win on May 3 in Pittsburgh. However, he has been an innings eater, lasting at least six frames in four of his past five outings. He'll look to build on the momentum in his next scheduled start Saturday opposite RHP Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros.

    From RotoBaller

    Shin-soo Choo May 26 9:30pm ET

Texas Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo went 2-for-5 with a double and a solo home run with two RBI in Sunday's 7-6 road loss against the Los Angeles Angels. Of course, it wasn't all great, as he also struck out three times, too. He has managed 27 whiffs in just 78 at-bats in the month of May, but he also has three doubles and five homers with eight RBI across the past nine outings. Overall he is slashing .294/.389/.544, as the 36-year-old continues to find the fountain of youth with fellow 36-year-old outfielder teammate Hunter Pence in Arlington.
