Ryan Tepera May 21 5:13pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays RP Ryan Tepera (elbow) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right elbow impingement Tuesday, May 21. The team also recalled RP Jimmy Cordero from Class AAA Buffalo.

Collin McHugh May 21 5:13pm ET

Houston Astros RHP Collin McHugh (elbow) was placed on the 10-day injured list with right elbow discomfort Tuesday, May 21. The team also recalled RP Brady Rodgers from Class AAA Round Rock.

Hunter Wood May 21 5:10pm ET

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Hunter Wood will serve as the opener on Tuesday against the Dodgers. Wood has yet to allow a run in his five outings (7 1/3 innings) over one start for the Rays this year. He's walked one and struck out seven. He'll face a tough matchup against the Dodgers and is only likely to go an inning or two, so he should be avoided for fantasy purposes. Jalen Beeks figures to come in after Wood and throw the bulk of the innings on Tuesday.

Brady Rodgers May 21 5:10pm ET

Houston Astros starting pitcher Collin McHugh (elbow) has been placed on the 10-day injured list with right elbow discomfort, retroactive to May 18. McHugh took a steep dive after his first four starts of the season and had been demoted to the bullpen prior to this injury. The Astros have called up Brady Rodgers from Triple-A in a corresponding move. The 28-year-old only has five appearances in the majors and is a risky fantasy option, at best.

Tommy Milone May 21 4:53pm ET

Seattle Mariners 2B Dee Gordon (wrist) and 1B Ryon Healy (back) were placed on the 10-day injured list with a right wrist contusion and lower back inflammation, respectively, on Tuesday, May 21. RP Parker Markel was also optioned to Class AAA Tacoma. The Mariners selected the contract of LHP Tommy Milone and recalled 2B Shed Long from Tacoma and activated 3B Dylan Moore from the IL to fill the open roster spots.

Javy Guerra May 21 4:53pm ET

Washington Nationals RHP Jeremy Hellickson (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained right shoulder Tuesday, May 21. The team also activated RP Javy Guerra to the active roster.

Clayton Richard May 21 4:50pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Clayton Richard (knee) will start on Thursday against the Red Sox in his season debut and will go around 50 to 60 pitches. The left-hander threw a bullpen session on Monday and made a three-inning rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday. The matchup on Thursday is a terrible one, but Richard wouldn't be a good streamer in any format regardless of the matchup. The 35-year-old has a weak 5.8 career K/9 in 10 seasons in the big leagues and should be left to deep AL-only leagues as a matchup-based play.

Anthony Bass May 21 4:50pm ET

The Seattle Mariners have signed right-handed relief pitcher Anthony Bass. The 31-year-old reliever has been good so far in Triple-A this season, compiling nine saves and a 3.29 FIP through 20 innings. He pitched well for the Cubs last season in 16 appearances and should find himself in a middle-inning relief role with the Mariners.

Shawn Kelley May 21 4:33pm ET

Texas Rangers RP Shawn Kelley was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, May 21. The team also optioned RP Brett Martin to Class AAA Nashville.

Brett Martin May 21 4:33pm ET

Texas Rangers RP Shawn Kelley was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, May 21. The team also optioned RP Brett Martin to Class AAA Nashville.

James Paxton May 21 4:30pm ET

New York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton (knee) said he "felt nothing" on Tuesday after going through another bullpen session. The left-hander, who has been sidelined since May 4 with left knee inflammation, added that he will likely have a three-inning simulated game on Friday. If all goes well he could return to the lineup at some point next week.

    From RotoBaller

Kevin McCarthy May 21 4:23pm ET

Kansas City Royals RP Kevin McCarthy was recalled from Class AAA Omaha on Tuesday, May 21.

Jon Berti May 21 4:13pm ET

Miami Marlins OF Austin Dean was recalled from Class AAA New Orleans on Tuesday, May 21. The team also placed INF/OF Jonathan Berti (oblique) on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain.

Austin Dean May 21 4:13pm ET

Miami Marlins OF Austin Dean was recalled from Class AAA New Orleans on Tuesday, May 21. The team also placed INF/OF Jonathan Berti (oblique) on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain.

Tyler Anderson May 21 4:13pm ET

Updating a previous report, Colorado Rockies LHP Tyler Anderson (knee) will undergo surgery to repair his left knee at a time yet to be determined. Whether or not Anderson can return this season will be determined after the surgery has been finished.

Yasiel Puig May 21 4:00pm ET

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Yasiel Puig (shoulder), who suffered a right shoulder sprain making a fantastic catch over the wall in right field on Sunday, is out of the starting lineup on Tuesday. The outspoken outfielder should be considered day-to-day for now, but there's still a chance he could land on the injured list if he doesn't heal quickly. Phillip Ervin is in right field and is batting cleanup against Brewers lefty starter Gio Gonzalez on Tuesday. Ervin doesn't have much fantasy upside in season-long leagues, but he should be looked at as a DFS sleeper in a run-producing spot. Jesse Winker is also on the bench against the left-hander, but Jose Peraza, who is taking his spot, can be ignored in the eight hole.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Anderson May 21 4:00pm ET

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Tyler Anderson (knee) will undergo surgery to repair his left knee in the next few days. Anderson has not seen the field since his demotion to Triple-A in early May. To say it was a rough start for the 29-year-old would be an understatement, as he had compiled an ugly 11.76 ERA and 2.13 WHIP through his first five starts. The timetable for his return will be determined after the surgery has concluded.

    From RotoBaller

Ryon Healy May 21 4:00pm ET

Seattle Mariners second basemen Dee Gordon(wrist) and first basemen Ryon Healy(back) have both been placed on the 10-day injured list. Gordon is sidelined with a right wrist contusion, the same injury he was sidelined from earlier in May, so it's clear the injury has not been able to heal properly. Healy left Monday's game in the sixth inning after experiencing lower back discomfort after hitting a sacrifice fly. Infielder Shed Long has been called up to replace Healy and utility man Dylan Moore was activated off the injured list. They will bat eighth and ninth, respectively, and can stay on your waiver wire.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Glasnow May 21 4:00pm ET

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (forearm), who was placed on the injured list on May 11, has started to throw with tennis balls. It's not much in the way of progress, but it's something. He mentioned he was optimistic and that he felt he was "progressing nicely." Glasnow, who had been absolutely lighting it up this season while compiling the best ERA in the American League through eight starts, has no set return date, but at least another four to five weeks looks likely at this point based on initial reports.

    From RotoBaller

    J.D. Martinez May 21 4:00pm ET

Boston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Martinez is out of the lineup for a second consecutive day on Tuesday. There's been no word whether this is due to some sort of injury, but a second day off would lead you to think something is up. Steve Pearce will get the start at first and Jackie Bradley Jr. will man right field against the Blue Jays. Both can be safely ignored in all fantasy formats.
