George Springer Mon Aug 15 3:20pm ET

The Toronto Blue Jays activated outfielder George Springer (elbow) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and designated outfielder Bradley Zimmer for assignment in a corresponding move. Springer will be active for Monday's game against the Baltimore Orioles, but it remains to be seen if he'll be in the starting lineup against right-hander Kyle Bradish. The 32-year-old has been dealing with a nagging elbow injury, but when he's back in the lineup, he should be returned to all fantasy lineups in single-year formats. Before landing on the injured list, Springer was hitting .251/.331/.464 with 18 home runs, 49 RBI, 59 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 338 at-bats.

Bryce Harper Mon Aug 15 3:20pm ET

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow, thumb) is taking batting practice on Monday. It's the first time that Harper has taken batting practice since having surgery to fix his fractured left thumb, so it's a significant step for last year's National League MVP. The 29-year-old left-handed slugger is getting closer to a minor league rehab assignment, but the Phillies might want to see him take batting practice again before sending him to the farm for live action. Harper has also been dealing with a nagging right elbow injury for most of 2022 that limited him to designated-hitter duties in the first half of the season. It remains to be seen if he'll play the field again this year, but he plans on returning in the second half. Harper was hitting a strong .318/.385/.599 with a .985 OPS, 15 homers, 48 RBI, 49 runs and nine stolen bases in 242 at-bats before his thumb injury.

Dobnak made 14 appearances for the Twins last season, six of which were starts. As of now, Minnesota's current rotation options include Joe Ryan, Sonny Gray, Tyler Mahle, Chris Archerand Dylan Bundy.

The Boston Red Sox optioned outfielder Jaylin Davis to Triple-A on Sunday night. So far this season, Davis has appeared in 12 games for the Red Sox in the Majors, making an instant impact by hitting .333 with a .407 on-base percentage, four runs scored, and a pair of runs driven in. Boston's current outfield options on the active roster include Jarren Duran, Tommy Pham, Alex Verdugo, and Christian Arroyo

Mike Trout Mon Aug 15 2:50pm ET

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (back) reportedly took batting practice on Sunday, according to a tweet from The Athletic's Sam Blum. Blum wrote, "Phil Nevin said Mike Trout did a full round of BP today, more than yesterday." Blum also noted in his tweet that Trout's "outlook sounds optimistic that he can begin hitting off of live pitching at some point soon." Prior to landing on the injured list, Trout was in the midst of enjoying another strong year at the plate, hitting .270 with a .368 on-base percentage, 24 home runs and a stolen base in 326 plate appearances for the Angels this season.

Corey Knebel Mon Aug 15 2:30pm ET

The Philadelphia Phillies placed reliever Corey Knebel (lat) on the 15-day injured list on Monday due to a right lat strain. So far this season, Knebel has pitched to a 3.43 ERA and a 4.46 FIP in 44.2 innings in his first year with the Phillies, striking out 41 batters and allowing 28 walks in the process. He's also registered 12 saves and a pair of holds. Philadelphia also reinstated right-handed pitcher Sam Coonrod from the 60-day injured list and designated left-handed pitcher Andrew Vasquez for assignment.

DJ LeMahieu Mon Aug 15 12:23pm ET

Updating a previous report, New York Yankees INF DJ LeMahieu (toe) revealed he is dealing with a sore right big toe on Sunday, Aug. 14. LeMahieu also noted that he received a cortisone shot for it at the All-Star break, but it has become an issue again. However, he expects to remain in the lineup.

Harold Ramirez Mon Aug 15 11:50am ET

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Harold Ramirez (thumb) went 2-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in his first minor league rehab game for Triple-A Durham on Sunday. Ramirez is on the mend from a fractured right thumb that he suffered in mid-July. Barring a setback on his rehab assignment, he could return to the Rays starting lineup as an outfield regular as early as this week. Before getting hit by a pitch just before the All-Star break, the 27-year-old was having a great season for Tampa, slashing .329/.379/.446 with an .825 OPS, four home runs, 35 RBI, 31 runs scored and three stolen bases in 264 plate appearances over 78 games played. If Ramirez is available on your league's waiver wire, scoop him up now.

    Travis d'Arnaud Mon Aug 15 11:30am ET

Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker said that catcher Travis d'Arnaud (leg) will be back in the team's starting lineup on Monday against New York Mets right-hander Carlos Carrasco after being sidelined for a week with a leg injury. d'Arnaud will avoid the injured list, which is great news for his fantasy managers. The 33-year-old backstop was an All-Star this year for the first time in his career, and he's hitting .257/.308/.441 with 11 home runs, 40 RBI and 40 runs scored in 72 games in 2022. He's played in just nine games since the All-Star break and has gone 7-for-31 (.226) with no home runs, two RBI and four runs scored in that span. Fantasy managers should be able to return d'Arnaud to their starting lineups for this week.

Dustin May Mon Aug 15 11:30am ET

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Dustin May (elbow) made his final minor league rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday and allowed an earned run on four hits (one home run) while walking one and striking out 10 in five innings pitched. May threw 70 pitches in the outing and is now set to join the Dodgers rotation after working his way back from Tommy John surgery. It's expected that the 24-year-old will make his first start of the 2022 season this Saturday against the Miami Marlins. In three major league seasons, May has a 2.93 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP and a 111:27 K:BB in 31 appearances (19 starts) and 113 2/3 innings. He is absolutely worth rostering for his strikeout upside alone in fantasy baseball leagues the rest of the way.

Harold Ramirez Mon Aug 15 11:23am ET

Tampa Bay Rays OF Harold Ramirez (thumb) began a rehab assignment on Sunday, Aug. 14.

Daulton Varsho Mon Aug 15 11:20am ET

Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Ketel Marte (hamstring) and outfielder/catcher Daulton Varsho (jaw) both left Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies early due to injuries. Marte exited with left hamstring tightness after running the bases in the ninth inning. Manager Torey Lovullo said the team is hoping it's nothing serious and that Marte will return to the starting lineup soon. Varsho was hit in the jaw by a baseball that was tossed to him as the outfielders were running into the dugout between innings. Lovullo said Varsho could have continued playing but he was removed as a precautionary measure. It sounds like both players should be available for fantasy managers soon, but it remains to be seen if they'll be available for the doubleheader against the San Francisco Giants on Monday.

Brandon Lowe Mon Aug 15 8:50am ET

Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe (shoulder) was held out of each of the team's last two games due to shoulder soreness. As of now, it doesn't sound like anything major for Lowe and he should be considered day-to-day. Yu Chang got the start at the keystone on both Saturday and Sunday with Lowe out. Lowe has been struggling at the plate so far in August, slashing .182/.250/.303 across eight appearances.
