The left-handed slugger sat out of Wednesday's game due to a knee contusion. He'll return to the starting lineup and bat sixth against right-hander Dean Kremer on Thursday. On paper, this should be a good spot for Hosmer, but he only has two hits since joining the Red Sox roster. Fantasy managers can stream Hosmer at their own risk.

Colorado Rockies outfielder Yonathan Daza (shoulder) didn't last long during Thursday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. He exited the contest after a diving catch during the first inning. Afterwards, Daza was clutching his left arm in pain, so the Rockies decided to remove him from the contest. Now, Daza has been diagnosed with a left shoulder sprain, which will probably lead to a stint on the injured list. Garrett Hampson came into the game on Thursday and could see more playing time now.

New York Mets outfielder Dominic Smith (ankle) has been activated from the 10-day injured list on Thursday. He has finally fully recovered from an ankle issue that has sidelined him since mid-July. They didn't really miss his bat considering he's hitting .194/.276/.284 with zero home runs in 58 games this season. That being said, the Mets decided to option Smith to Triple-A Syracuse. Fantasy managers can go ahead and find another fantasy option, assuming they were waiting for Smith to return.

He picked up the injury during a fifth-inning plate appearance where he drew a walk. The good news is, Schwarber avoided major injury, but his status for this weekend could be in jeopardy. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update before their next game.

The 28-year-old has been placed on the 7-day concussion list, retroactive August 8. Fried hit his head on the ground while attempting to make a play during Saturday's contest. In the meantime, right-hander Jake Odorizzi will make the start against the Miami Marlins on Friday.
