Brendan Donovan Tue Jun 16 8:50pm ET

Seattle Mariners infielder/outfielder Brendan Donovan (groin) started a running progression on Tuesday, which is the biggest hurdle to clear as he attempts to return from a strained left groin, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Donovan's running progression is expected to last 10 days to two weeks, so his return to the big-league roster isn't imminent. From there, if he avoids any setbacks, Donovan could go straight into a minor-league rehab assignment. The 29-year-old left-handed hitter has been sidelined since the middle of May, but barring a setback, he will have a shot to rejoin the big-league squad before the All-Star break in mid-July. Donovan is a contact-oriented utility man who was starting regularly at third base for Seattle before his injury, hitting .274 (23-for-84) with three homers and eight RBI in just 25 games played. When he's ready to return, he should return to an everyday role with the M's, which could push infielder J.P. Crawford to the bench. Donovan is currently rostered in just over half of Yahoo leagues.

Michael Harris II Tue Jun 16 8:50pm ET

The Atlanta Braves announced that outfielder Michael Harris II (back) departed Tuesday's game against the San Francisco Giants early with lower-back tightness. Before leaving the game due to injury, Harris went 1-for-1 at the plate with a run scored. Mauricio Dubon shifted from left field to center field, and Eli White entered the ballgame in left field. It's unclear if Harris' back injury will cause him to miss additional time, but we should have a better idea of the severity of his back ailment later on Tuesday night or on Wednesday morning. If Harris is forced to the 10-day injured list, White would be in line for more playing time in Atlanta's outfield. The 25-year-old Harris is in the midst of a really strong season in 2026, as he came into Tuesday's game with a .303/.337/.512 slash line with an .850 OPS, 14 home runs, 41 RBI, 34 runs scored, and three stolen bases. Harris is currently rostered in all but 5% of Yahoo leagues, and he should remain rostered, even if his back injury leads to a lengthy absence.

Andres Munoz Tue Jun 16 8:40pm ET

Seattle Mariners right-handed closer Andres Munoz (back) is fine and good to go for Tuesday's series opener at T-Mobile Park versus the Baltimore Orioles, according to Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times. The Mariners pulled Munoz from his outing on Sunday against the Washington Nationals with back tightness, but after a scheduled day off on Monday, he's ready to go for the series opener in Seattle on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Mexican reliever has had his fair share of struggles in 2026 in his seventh year in the big leagues after back-to-back All-Star campaigns, but he's presently in no real danger of being demoted from the closer's role by manager Dan Wilson. In his 27 appearances out of the bullpen, Munoz is 3-4 with a career-worst 5.92 ERA (3.68 FIP), 1.44 WHIP, 10 saves, and a 37:11 K:BB in 24 1/3 innings pitched. He will have a long leash after saving a career-high 38 games for the M's in 2025. Fantasy managers speculating on saves and stashing setup men should have their eyes on lefty Jose A. Ferrer if Munoz continues to struggle or goes down with an injury.

    J.P. Crawford Tue Jun 16 8:30pm ET

The Seattle Mariners announced on Tuesday that they reinstated infielder J.P. Crawford (hand) from the 10-day injured list due to a right-hand contusion, and he's starting at third base and batting leadoff in his first game back in Tuesday's series opener against the Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Brandon Young. The 31-year-old veteran spent the minimum time on the IL with a minor right-hand contusion that he suffered after getting hit by a pitch. Now that he's back, he could spend most of his time in Seattle at the hot corner with infield prospect Cole Emerson settling in at the 6. Crawford returns to an ugly .228/.356/.409 slash line with a .766 OPS, 10 home runs, 23 RBI, 31 runs scored, and a stolen base in his 193 at-bats in 2026. He has now reached double-digit home runs in three of the last four seasons, and he's only striking out 18.9% of the time. Still, Crawford is only rostered in 11% of Yahoo leagues with minimal power for a player with shortstop eligibility. He was heating up at the plate before landing on the IL, hitting .333 with four home runs in his last 11 contests.

    From RotoBaller

Luke Raley Tue Jun 16 8:30pm ET

Seattle Mariners outfielder Luke Raley (back) is sitting out of Tuesday's series opener against the visiting Baltimore Orioles due to back tightness, according to Adam Jude of The Seattle Times. Dominic Canzone is starting in right field for the M's and will hit cleanup against Orioles right-hander Brandon Young. For now, we'll consider Raley to be day-to-day. If he's feeling better on Wednesday, he could be right back in the lineup against Baltimore right-hander Kyle Bradish. In his sixth year in the majors and third year with Seattle, Raley is on pace to set a new career high in home runs. Through 66 games in 2026 across 210 plate appearances, the left-handed slugger is slashing .241/.303/.503 with an .806 OPS, 14 home runs, 35 RBI, 24 runs scored, and a stolen base. The power is nice from the left side, but the fact that he rarely faces left-handers limits his overall fantasy upside in mixed leagues. Raley has gone just 2-for-16 (.125) with none of his 14 home runs against lefties this season.

    From RotoBaller

Josh Naylor Tue Jun 16 8:20pm ET

Seattle Mariners first baseman Josh Naylor (shin, wrist) is a little banged up and will start on the bench for Tuesday's series opener against the visiting Baltimore Orioles, per MLB.com. Naylor was forced from Sunday's series finale early against the Washington Nationals after fouling a ball off his shin. The 28-year-old left-handed slugger is also dealing with wrist soreness. The good news is that X-rays on his shin came back negative, so Naylor is considered day-to-day and could be back as early as Wednesday's tilt against the O's. Miles Mastrobuoni will start at first on Tuesday for Seattle and will bat ninth versus Orioles right-hander Brandon Young. The Canadian native enters Tuesday's action hitting .253/.315/.372 with a .687 OPS, eight home runs, 32 RBI, 13 stolen bases, and 27 runs scored in 68 games across 296 plate appearances in his first full year with the team. Naylor has gone 12-for-48 (.250) with three of his eight home runs on the year in 12 games in June. Check back on Wednesday to see if he's back in the starting lineup.

    From RotoBaller

Randy Arozarena Tue Jun 16 8:10pm ET

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) is missing another game on Tuesday against the visiting Baltimore Orioles at T-Mobile Park, according to MLB.com. Victor Robles is making the start in left field and will bat seventh against Orioles right-hander Brandon Young. The 31-year-old Arozarena is missing a third straight start for the M's after suffering from soreness in his left hamstring last Friday. The good news is that the Mariners expect him to be available off the bench for Tuesday's series opener, giving him a good chance to return to the starting nine for Wednesday's contest in Seattle. When the right-handed-hitting Cuban outfielder returns to action, fantasy managers will want to return him to their starting lineups everywhere. He's been one of the team's most consistent offensive producers in 2026 with a .291/.377/.448 slash line, an .826 OPS, seven home runs, 33 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 47 runs scored in his 261 at-bats in his second full season with the M's. Arozarena was a second-time All-Star in 2025 in his first year in Seattle, when he hit just .238 (146-for-613), but with a career-high 27 long balls, 76 RBI, and 31 steals in 160 regular-season contests.

    From RotoBaller

Cal Raleigh Tue Jun 16 7:20pm ET

The Seattle Mariners announced on Tuesday that they reinstated catcher Cal Raleigh (oblique) from the 10-day injured list, and he's in the starting lineup behind the dish and batting second for the M's as they take on the visiting Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Brandon Young at T-Mobile Park. In a corresponding move, Jhonny Pereda was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma. Raleigh will return to the M's starting nine for the first time in a month due to an oblique strain that landed him on the IL on May 14. In five minor-league rehab games with High-A Everett and Triple-A Tacoma, the Big Dumper went 7-for-17 with five home runs, 12 RBI, and seven runs scored, giving fantasy managers hope that he can turn things around at the plate in the majors now that he's back. Raleigh pummeled baseballs as a first-time All-Star in 2025, when he led the league with 60 round-trippers and 125 RBI in 159 regular-season games. He has hit just .161 (26-for-161) with seven homers, 18 RBI, and a career-worst 31.5% strikeout rate so far in 2026.

    From RotoBaller

Chase DeLauter Tue Jun 16 7:00pm ET

Cleveland Guardians rookie outfielder Chase DeLatuer (ribs) is absent from the team's starting lineup on Tuesday on the road in Milwaukee against the Brewers, according to MLB.com. David Fry is starting in right field and will bat cleanup versus Brewers left-hander Robert Gasser. DeLauter is dealing with a rib-cage contusion that he suffered on Saturday when he crashed into the outfield wall, and he'll be missing a second straight game on Tuesday. The 24-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now. Check back to see if he's available to play in Wednesday's contest in Milwaukee. After a strong start in 2026 in his first year in the big leagues, DeLauter has cooled off at the plate and is now slashing .263/.337/.408 with a .745 OPS, seven home runs, 34 RBI, 24 runs scored, and two stolen bases in 240 at-bats. In his first 10 games in June, DeLauter has gone 8-for-35 (.229) with a double, two RBI, two runs scored, three walks, and 11 strikeouts.

    From RotoBaller

Jasson Dominguez Tue Jun 16 6:50pm ET

New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez (mouth) is sitting out of the starting lineup on Tuesday at home against the visiting Chicago White Sox after he had a tooth pulled earlier in the day, according to MLB.com. With Dominguez starting on the bench, Jose Caballero will make the start in right field and will bat sixth against White Sox right-hander Davis Martin. The 23-year-old just came off the injured list over the weekend after recovering from a shoulder strain. The Dominican switch-hitter should be back in action on Wednesday, and he should be a regular for the Yankees now that he's recovered from his shoulder injury with Aaron Judge (ribs), Trent Grisham (hamstring), and Giancarlo Stanton (calf) all sidelined. Dominguez has yet to reach his full potential at the major-league level, but at least in the short term, he'll have the opportunity to do damage, making him a deep-league option. In only 11 games for the Yanks this year, Dominguez has gone 8-for-38 (.211) with two homers, three doubles, five RBI, five runs, two walks, and six strikeouts.

    From RotoBaller

Andres Gimenez Tue Jun 16 6:20pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays infielder Andres Gimenez (wrist) is starting at shortstop and will bat eighth for Toronto on Tuesday on the road at Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox and left-hander Payton Tolle, per MLB.com. Gimenez is back in action for Tuesday's series opener after he was scratched from Sunday's series finale against the New York Yankees with a wrist injury. The 27-year-old glove-first player obviously wasn't dealing with a very serious injury. With Gimenez returning, utility man Ernie Clement will move back over to second base on Tuesday. Gimenez has limited upside offensively with below-average power and speed, which is why he's rostered in only 13% of Yahoo leagues. He comes into Tuesday's tilt with a .222/.269/.351 slash line, .621 OPS, six home runs, 30 RBI, seven stolen bases, and 16 runs scored across his 68 games played in 2026. Gimenez has really struggled against southpaws, too, going 9-for-55 (.164) against them with just one of his six home runs against them this year.

    From RotoBaller

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Tue Jun 16 6:10pm ET

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (back) is starting at first base and batting third for the Jays in Tuesday's game at Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox and left-hander Payton Tolle, per MLB.com. Guerrero was held out of the final two games of the weekend series against the New York Yankees with back tightness, but the 27-year-old is back for Tuesday's series opener in Beantown. The five-time All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger winner will return to a .280/.372/.366 slash line in his 68 games and 288 plate appearances this year, but he has frustrated his fantasy managers with his lack of power (just three home runs). There's still time for Vladdy to turn his season around in the power department, and the buy-low window is still firmly open for fantasy managers with the All-Star break quickly approaching in mid-July. Guerrero has faced Tolle just twice in his career and has one hit. Fantasy managers in traditional fantasy leagues will want to get him back in their starting lineups.

    From RotoBaller

Trea Turner Tue Jun 16 6:00pm ET

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner (wrist) is out of the team's starting lineup for Tuesday's game at home against the division-rival Miami Marlins, according to MLB.com. Turner was removed from the game early in Monday's series opener with a right-wrist bruise after he was hit by a pitch, and he'll miss at least one game as a result. With X-rays coming back negative, Turner is expected to be back in the starting nine on Wednesday. Edmundo Sosa will start at the 6 at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday and will bat ninth for the Phillies against Marlins right-hander Tyler Phillips. Turner, in his 12th year in the big leagues, is showing clear signs of decline so far in 2026, as he's currently hitting just .216/.268/.326 with a career-worst .595 OPS, seven home runs, 21 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and 41 runs scored in 71 games and a league-high 291 at-bats. The three-time All-Star had a league-high .304 average (179-for-589) in 141 regular-season games in 2025 in his third year with the Phillies. Turner hasn't homered since May 27 and has gone 10-for-53 (.189) with two doubles, two RBI, three steals, seven runs, three walks, and 15 strikeouts in 13 games so far in June.

    From RotoBaller

Daniel Palencia Tue Jun 16 5:40pm ET

Chicago Cubs right-handed closer Daniel Palencia (elbow) is heading to the 15-day injured list on Tuesday with right-elbow inflammation, according to Bruce Levine of the Marquee Sports Network. It's the second time that Palencia will head to the IL this year, with his previous time coming from a lat strain. The 26-year-old Venezuelan hurler apparently injured his elbow during his scoreless outing against the Colorado Rockies on Monday night in the series opener. Palencia has gone 2-1 this year with a 2.70 ERA (3.46 FIP), 1.38 WHIP, three saves, 19 strikeouts, and six walks in 16 2/3 innings over 19 appearances out of the bullpen. It's unclear what direction manager Craig Counsell will go for save opportunities going forward with Palencia on the IL again. If they use a closer-by-committee situation, all of Caleb Thielbar, Phil Maton, and Jacob Webb could be in line for ninth-inning work. Thielbar, Maton, and Webb are all currently rostered in under 3% of Yahoo leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Jose Ramirez Tue Jun 16 5:40pm ET

Cleveland Guardians All-Star third baseman Jose Ramirez (hand) underwent surgery to fix a broken hamate bone in his left hand on Tuesday and is expected to miss five to seven weeks, according to Zack Meisel of MLB.com. Ramirez injured his hand over the weekend against the division-rival Detroit Tigers, and he won't be ready to rejoin the big-league roster until after the mid-July All-Star break. Even though the 33-year-old seven-time All-Star and six-time Silver Slugger hasn't been performing up to his usual high standards in 2026, fantasy managers should consider him a must-hold in all traditional leagues while he recovers from hand surgery. The Dominican switch-hitting third baseman is currently slashing .239/.339/.418 with a .757 OPS, 10 home runs, 33 RBI, 24 stolen bases, and 42 runs scored across his 268 at-bats in 2026. Until J-Ram can return from his hand injury, utility infielder Gabriel Arias is expected to handle most of the playing time at the hot corner in Cleveland.

    From RotoBaller

Roman Anthony Tue Jun 16 5:20pm ET

Boston Red Sox outfielder Roman Antony's (finger) six-week follow-up MRI exam showed healing and good progress, interim manager Chad Tracy told Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald. "That does not mean that because the picture said that, that it's like he's hitting today. Things are looking good, but it's still going to be at his progress and how he feels, and the medical staff will determine each day if he's going to swing and try and see where we're at, and we'll progress based on medical and his feelings, but definitely a positive step there," Tracy said. Swinging a bat is something that Anthony hasn't gotten past in his recovery from a strained finger. The former top outfield prospect is making progress, but until he's cleared to start swinging a bat, we won't have a more specific timetable for his return. As things currently stand, it's unlikely that he'll return before the mid-July All-Star break at his current rate of progress. Because of Anthony's high-end power/speed potential, the injured star deserves to be stashed in an IL spot in most fantasy leagues. He's currently rostered in 85% of Yahoo leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Garrett Crochet Tue Jun 16 4:50pm ET

Boston Red Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet (shoulder, lat) started throwing a plyometric ball on Tuesday and will continue to do so for the rest of the week before potentially progressing to throwing a real baseball, according to Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic. Crochet initially landed on the 15-day injured list with left-shoulder inflammation before suffering a setback with a lat strain. He recently clarified that his shoulder is the bigger issue as he continues to tweak his mechanics, and now that he's on the 60-day injured list, the talented southpaw won't be back with the Red Sox's starting rotation until after the mid-July All-Star break. The 26-year-old former 11th overall pick by the Chicago White Sox in 2020 out of the University of Tennessee has been one of the biggest busts so far in fantasy in 2026 after finishing second in the American League Cy Young voting in 2025 in his first year in Boston. Crochet has a 6.30 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, and 37 K's in 30 innings in his six starts this year, but despite the tough first half, he deserves to be held in all fantasy formats as he looks to bounce back in the second half with better health.

    From RotoBaller

River Ryan Tue Jun 16 4:50pm ET

Los Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect River Ryan bounced back nicely in his latest outing at Triple-A Oklahoma City after giving up four earned runs in his previous start. The Dodgers' sixth-ranked prospect allowed just one earned run on six hits and one walk while striking out seven in his last start, improving his ERA for the year to 2.81 with a 1.13 WHIP. The right-hander owns a strong 24.6 percent K-BB% and is averaging more than a strikeout per inning, exactly what fantasy managers want to see from a potential fantasy asset. The 27-year-old debuted in 2025 and saw some success, with a 1.33 ERA (3.36 FIP), 1.18 WHIP, and 18 strikeouts in 20 1/3 innings pitched, so with his current momentum, there's good reason to think that he'll have success the next time he gets the call. The Dodgers are currently using a six-man rotation and technically have no openings, but things change fast in the major leagues, either due to injury or underperformance, so Ryan should be considered one of the top pitchers to stash for fantasy with his ability to have a positive impact on multiple categories.

    From RotoBaller

Kaelen Culpepper Tue Jun 16 4:30pm ET

The Minnesota Twins placed shortstop prospect Kaelen Culpepper (hip) on the seven-day Triple-A injured list with a strained left hip, according to The Athletic's Aaron Gleeman. There was talk about Culpepper potentially being in line for a big-league promotion soon after tearing it up at the top minor-league level, but those talks will now be put on hold for the time being. The Twins' No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, has hit .273/.377/.498 with an .875 OPS, 14 home runs, 43 RBI, 15 stolen bases, and 53 runs scored in 61 games across 289 plate appearances for the St. Paul Saints in 2026 before injuring his hip. The 23-year-old former 21st overall pick in the 2024 MLB draft out of Kansas State University uses the entire field and makes plenty of contact from the right side of the plate. He tends to chase offspeed pitches off the plate, but with his power/speed upside, he should be rostered in most dynasty/keeper leagues despite his injury. MLB Pipeline has Culpepper ranked 36th overall this year among all prospects.

    From RotoBaller

Yainer Diaz Tue Jun 16 4:30pm ET

The Houston Astros activated catcher Yainer Diaz (oblique) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, according to Chandler Rome of The Athletic. Diaz is back behind the plate to catch right-hander Hunter Brown (shoulder), who is also returning from the IL on Tuesday, and will bat sixth for the Astros against the visiting Detroit Tigers and left-hander Framber Valdez. Diaz will return as Houston's primary catcher for the first time since straining his left oblique back in early May. His return will push veteran backstop Christian Vazquez to a backup role. The 27-year-old Dominican was hitting .238 (24-for-101) with two home runs, 14 RBI, and seven runs scored in 26 games before landing on the IL. With 20-plus home runs in two of his first three full seasons in the big leagues, Diaz definitely has fantasy value in single-catcher leagues now that he's back on the field for the Astros. Check your league's waiver wire if you need an upgrade at the position. Diaz is rostered in under half of Yahoo leagues right now.
