Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant (ankle) didn't suit up for Monday's matchup with Indiana. He tweaked his ankle during the 111-107 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. While the multi-time All-Star managed to finish the contest, residual swelling caused his absence on Monday night. Head coach Ime Udoka is hoping the injury won't keep him on the shelf for longer than one game, so fantasy managers might see him back on Wednesday against the visiting Boston Celtics. However, if Durant misses another one, Reed Sheppard could remain in line to replace him in the rotation after entering the starting lineup versus the Pacers.
Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) is questionable for Tuesday's game against Miami. He hasn't played since the loss to New Orleans on January 7, missing the last 12 games. While the 30-year-old still could miss another contest, it at least seems he's moving in a positive direction regarding his return to the court. With Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) out again, Porzingis would presumably be in line to re-enter the starting lineup. However, regardless of his role, he'll likely be limited. As a result, Mouhamed Gueye, coming off a 15-point, four-rebound, three-steal, and one-block effort, should remain relevant for fantasy purposes.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (finger) is considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the Orlando Magic due to a sprained right index finger. Gilgeous-Alexander hasn't missed a game since Jan.9 and he's played in 48 of 50 Thunder contests so far this campaign. If the superstar guard is unable to suit up, Isaiah Joe will be provided with a heavier workload, especially with Ajay Mitchell (abdomen) already set to miss his sixth straight game due to an abdominal strain.
Dallas Mavericks forward/center P.J. Washington (head) is unavailable for Tuesday's matchup with the Boston Celtics. The 27-year-old sustained a head contusion in Saturday's 111-107 loss to Houston and he is now in the league's concussion protocol. With Washington out of action, the Mavs will have to rely on Naji Marshall and Daniel Gafford in the frontcourt. Marshall has averaged 19.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists over his last five starts, while Gafford provides consistent rebounding and adequate scoring.
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (back) is available to play in Monday's meeting with Memphis. Normally, he is listed on the injury report because of the familiar foot issue. However, Edwards was in danger of missing this one due to back spasms. Fortunately, that's not the case. Whith that said, he is in a fantastic position to exceed his usual statistical expectations versus a Grizzlies team that has allowed 116.6 points per game this season, one of the worst marks in the NBA.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle (thumb) is good to go for Monday's matchup with Memphis. Randle was listed on the injury report because of left thumb soreness, but he'll be out there on Monday night. The 31-year-old is having a fantastic 2025 campaign, averaging 22.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.2 steals. He might be even more productive versus a Grizzlies team that has allowed 116.6 points per game this season, one of the worst averages in the NBA.
Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (hamstring) won't play in Tuesday's Central Division clash with the Milwaukee Bucks. He missed a few weeks because of a hamstring strain. While the 23-year-old appeared in some games since returning, he'll now miss his fourth-straight contest. It's been reported Giddey is improving, which is good. However, fantasy managers shouldn't rule out the chance he could be out beyond the All-Star break. At any rate, Ayo Dosunmu should be given an expanded role behind Coby White, Matas Buzelis, and Nikola Vucevic.
According to Danny Emerman of SFStandard.com, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (knee) won't play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. Curry didn't practice on Monday and is considered day-to-day due to soreness in his right knee. His next chance to return to the lineup is on Thursday against Phoenix. While Curry is out of action, De'Anthony Melton, Brandin Podziemski and Pat Spencer could be utilized as short-term streaming options.
Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic won't play on Tuesday versus Indiana. He's missed a few games of late because of an illness. This time, the 31-year-old is simply getting the night off to rest. Without Nurkic on the floor, Kyle Filipowski is the favorite to replace him in the rotation. The former Duke Blue Devil has averaged 11.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 16 starts throughout the campaign. However, with Keyonte George (ankle) also sidelined, Filipowski could thrive in a meeting with one of the worst defensive clubs in the National Basketball Association.
Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (ankle) won't play on Tuesday versus Indiana. The 22-year-old tweaked his left ankle during the 109-99 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night and didn't suit up for Sunday's meeting with the Toronto Raptors. Isaiah Collier got the start and contributed in a big way, finishing the evening with 19 points, seven assists, four boards, two steals, and one block. Collier is expected to remain with the starters on Tuesday, making him a must-start against a Pacers team that has struggled defensively all year. X-rays on George's ankle came back negative. While he's considered day-to-day, it's certainly possible he misses a few more contests moving ahead.
Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden (personal) won't play on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. The former MVP will miss his second game in a row due to personal reasons. His next chance to suit up comes on Wednesday versus the Cavs. While Harden is out of the mix, Kris Dunn, Kobe Sanders and Jordan Miller will continue to get more work in the backcourt.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves (calf) is considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets. Reaves has been listed as questionable a few times recently, but Lakers head coach JJ Redick said after Sunday's loss to the Knicks that he was hopeful to have the guard back in the mix. The 27-year-old has been sidelined since Dec. 25 due to a left calf strain. Marcus Smart and Gabe Vincent will continue to take on extra minutes if Reaves remains absent on Tuesday.
Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (active) erupted for a career-high 40 points in Sunday's win over Portland, adding 17 rebounds, five assists, four blocks, and two steals in 30 minutes. The outburst came with Evan Mobley (calf) and Darius Garland (toe) both sidelined, opening the door for Allen to shoulder a larger offensive load. With Mobley still out, Allen's usage and rebounding floor remain elevated, making him an elite must-start in all formats. Donovan Mitchell continues to benefit from the inside-out balance, while Garland's eventual return and Mobley's health are the primary risks to Allen sustaining peak-level production.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Cason Wallace (active) and center Isaiah Hartenstein (minutes restriction) both returned to the starting lineup Sunday as injuries continued to reshape the rotation. Wallace capitalized in a big way, erupting for 27 points, seven three-pointers, six rebounds, and two steals in 30 minutes, firmly planting himself on the standard-league radar. Hartenstein, still ramping up from injury, logged four points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 22 minutes alongside Chet Holmgren. With Jalen Williams (hamstring), Ajay Mitchell (abdomen), and Alex Caruso (adductor) still out, Wallace looks locked into a featured role, while Hartenstein profiles as a hold with upside as his minutes climb.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) will remain out Monday against Minnesota as he continues to recover from left big toe surgery performed in October. Pippen has yet to make his season debut, though recent work with the team's G League affiliate suggests a return may be approaching. His continued absence has solidified Ty Jerome's role, and Jerome posted 20 points, six assists, and one steal in 20 minutes last game while shooting 50 percent from the field. Based on his production profile from last season, Jerome should stay rostered when his role is secure. Cam Spencer is one to monitor as the rotation settles, while Jaylen Wells remains fringe.
Sacramento Kings forward De'Andre Hunter (traded) is expected to practice Tuesday and could make his team debut Wednesday against Memphis after arriving from Cleveland in a multi-team deal. Hunter offers immediate scoring and spacing after averaging 13.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.7 three-pointers in 26.2 minutes this season. His short-term fantasy outlook improves if Keegan Murray (ankle) remains out, though Hunter still faces competition from DeMar DeRozan, Nique Clifford, and Precious Achiuwa. Hunter profiles as a deeper-league scoring and threes streamer, with capped upside in a crowded rotation that could shift again with more trades possible.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Keon Ellis (traded) is expected to meet the team in Los Angeles and could be available Wednesday against the Clippers alongside fellow newcomer Dennis Schroder. Both guards arrived from Sacramento in a multi-team deal and step into a crowded backcourt rotation. Schroder brings on-ball creation after averaging 12.8 points and 5.3 assists this season, while Ellis profiles as a defensive wing who averaged 5.6 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in limited minutes. If Darius Garland (toe) remains out, Schroder has short-term assist-streamer appeal, while Ellis is a deep-league steals option. Donovan Mitchell, Jaylon Tyson, and Sam Merrill still anchor the minutes.
Cleveland Cavaliers' C Jarrett Allen recorded a double-double, scoring 40 points and grabbing 17 rebounds in a 130-111 win over Portland on Sunday, Feb. 1.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (ankle) is considered probable for Monday's meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers. The former MVP appears to have put his knee issues behind him for now and is currently on the injury report with a right ankle injury. However, he is expected to play in the first game of a back-to-back. Embiid just had a 40-point double-double against New Orleans and will be difficult to contain for a tired Clippers team coming off Sunday's tilt against the Phoenix Suns.
Denver Nuggets guard/forward Christian Braun (ankle) won't be available on Sunday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as the team has downgraded his status from doubtful to out. Brown hasn't played since early January, but the doubtful tag suggests he is making progress and could be ready for his comeback soon. Denver's next game is Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons. In the meantime, Jalen Pickett and Julian Strawther will remain more active in the rotation, but they are unreliable for fantasy managers.
