Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander poured in a season-high 43 points in Monday's 117-112 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, adding three rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and one block in 38 minutes. He shot 14-for-35 from the field and buried the go-ahead three with 32.6 seconds remaining. The 35 attempts matched a career high as Oklahoma City leaned heavily on him with Jalen Williams (leg), Chet Holmgren (knee), Cason Wallace (shoulder), and Alex Caruso (ankle) sidelined. With several key pieces still unavailable, Gilgeous-Alexander should continue carrying a massive offensive workload in Wednesday's rematch with Cleveland.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Ty Jerome poured in 40 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals in Monday's 135-134 overtime loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. He shot 14-for-22 from the field and 5-for-6 from three, scoring Memphis' final nine points of regulation to force overtime. It was Jerome's second 40-point effort of the season after dropping a career-high 45 in the opener. He is averaging 28.2 points and 5.7 assists through six appearances and remains the focal point of Memphis' offense heading into Wednesday's matchup with Indiana.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic poured in 42 points, seven rebounds, 13 assists, and two steals in Monday's 138-117 win over the Miami Heat. He shot 14-for-24 from the field and knocked down six threes, doing the damage on the second night of a back-to-back. It marked Doncic's 19th career game with at least 40 points, 10 assists, and five three-pointers, the most in NBA history. He is now averaging 43.4 points over his last five games and remains the clear engine of the Lakers' offense heading into Wednesday's matchup with Sacramento.
Free-agent guard/forward Dalen Terry has agreed to a two-year deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The former No. 18 overall pick spent training camp with Golden State before being waived in October and now gives a depleted Thunder roster another perimeter option. Jalen Williams (leg) and Cason Wallace (shoulder) are out long-term following surgery, while Alex Caruso (ankle) has also been sidelined. Terry averaged 4.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 12.4 minutes across 14 games with Philadelphia last season. He may get a chance to crack the rotation while Oklahoma City is short-handed, but Ajay Mitchell and Jared McCain remain ahead of him for fantasy purposes.
Golden State Warriors forward/center Draymond Green was ejected early in the third quarter of Monday's 116-113 win over the Phoenix Suns, according to ESPN's Anthony Slater. Green received his first technical after throwing Khaman Maluach to the floor following the whistle, then picked up a second when he and Dillon Brooks were assessed a double technical. He finished with four points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 17 minutes. It was Green's first ejection of the season, and he now has three technicals through six games. Golden State is also managing his lower back on back-to-backs, which could create occasional extra minutes for Charles Bassey.
Phoenix Suns guard Jordan Goodwin (calf) was ruled out of Monday's 116-113 loss to the Golden State Warriors after injuring his right calf late in the first half, according to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic. Goodwin finished with four points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 10 minutes before heading to the locker room. He entered Monday averaging 8.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 steals in 21.0 minutes per game. If Goodwin misses time, Ryan Dunn could see more minutes on the wing, while Collin Gillespie and Luke Kennard may also have bigger bench roles.
Warriors' G Stephen Curry scored 34 points on 9-of-21 shooting in a 116-113 win over the Suns on Monday, Nov. 2. Curry is owned in only 61.1% leagues.
Lakers' G Luka Doncic recorded a double-double, scoring 42 points with 13 assists in a 138-117 win over the Heat on Monday, Nov. 2.
Memphis Grizzlies' G Ty Jerome scored 40 points on 14-of-22 shooting in a 134-135 loss to the Pelicans on Monday, Nov. 2. Jerome is owned in only 11.1% leagues.
Pistons' G Cade Cunningham scored 33 points on 13-of-20 shooting in a 124-91 win over Charlotte on Monday, Nov. 2. Cunningham is owned in only 38.9% leagues.
Thunder's G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 43 points on 14-of-35 shooting in a 117-112 win over Cleveland on Monday, Nov. 2.
Dallas Mavericks guard/forward Max Christie (hip) will not return to Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Christie played just eight minutes before exiting, with Walter Clayton Jr. replacing him in the lineup to begin the second half. The 23-year-old entered Monday averaging 8.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while shooting 36.7 percent from the field through six starts. If Christie ends up missing time beyond Monday, Clayton should stay in the mix for extra minutes, with Marcus Sasser also a candidate for a larger backcourt role.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr. (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors, according to Joey Linn. Jones left Sunday's loss to Golden State after banging his knee late in the third quarter and finished with nine points and seven rebounds in 28 minutes. The 29-year-old is averaging 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 52.0 percent from three. It's the same knee that gave him trouble last season, so his status is worth monitoring. With Max Strus returning, Kobe Sanders, Gradey Dick, and Baba Miller could still see some extra wing minutes.
Toronto Raptors forward/center Collin Murray-Boyles will make his first start of the season Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Zulfi Sheikh. With Jakob Poeltl (shoulder) out for a second straight game, Murray-Boyles moves into the starting lineup after Trayce Jackson-Davis started Sunday. The 21-year-old is averaging 7.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.2 steals in 19.0 minutes off the bench. In 16 starts from Jan. 3 onward last season, he posted 9.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 1.3 steals in 28.8 minutes. The move gives him a better chance to contribute across the defensive categories while Poeltl remains out.
Toronto Raptors forward/center Scottie Barnes (hip) is available for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers after dealing with soreness and tightness. Barnes played 36 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Lakers, finishing with 29 points, six rebounds, and five assists. The 25-year-old has been carrying a heavy offensive load with Kawhi Leonard (knee) sidelined, scoring 41 points Friday and averaging 24.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists through six games. RJ Barrett should remain heavily involved after adding 22 points and 10 rebounds Sunday.
Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (shoulder) will miss a second straight game Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers with bursitis. Poeltl was a late scratch Sunday against the Lakers after the issue limited his range of motion during warmups. The 31-year-old is averaging 4.6 points and 5.8 rebounds through five appearances after playing only 46 games last season because of recurring back problems. Trayce Jackson-Davis started in his place Sunday and could get the nod again, while Collin Murray-Boyles should also be in line for additional frontcourt minutes.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Max Strus (foot) will make his season and Clippers debut Monday against the Toronto Raptors. Strus has missed the first six games after partially tearing the plantar fascia in his right foot during the preseason opener. The 30-year-old practiced with the San Diego Clippers on Saturday before receiving clearance to return. He averaged 11.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 12 games with Cleveland last season. Derrick Jones Jr. (knee) and Rui Hachimura (quadriceps) are both out, so there should be room for Strus to work into the wing rotation right away, even if the Clippers ease him back after the long layoff.
Denver Nuggets forward Alpha Diallo (wrist) is available for Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers after missing four straight contests with a wrist sprain and personal reasons. Diallo made his only appearance of the season on Opening Night, recording four points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 22 minutes against Oklahoma City. With Spencer Jones (hamstring) and Julian Strawther (knee) still sidelined, Diallo should have a chance to work his way back into Denver's wing rotation. His defense should help him stay in the mix, but he will need to show more on offense before there is much fantasy value to chase.
Golden State Warriors guard Brandon Williams (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Phoenix Suns, according to Anthony Slater. Williams entered the day questionable with a quad contusion on the second night of a back-to-back. The 26-year-old is averaging 11.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 17.3 minutes through seven games. He scored 20 points in his lone start of the season against these same Suns. With Stephen Curry back, De'Anthony Melton and Will Richard could pick up some of Williams' minutes, while Golden State is also without Gui Santos (knee) and Al Horford (rest).
Houston Rockets center Clint Capela (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Boston Celtics, head coach Ime Udoka told Varun Shankar. Capela rolled his ankle in Saturday's win over Oklahoma City and played just 10 minutes. With Steven Adams (calf) also sidelined, Houston is short on traditional centers behind Alperen Sengun. Oscar Tshiebwe is the leading candidate for backup minutes, while the Rockets could also use smaller frontcourt combinations with Jabari Smith Jr. and Kevin Durant. Tshiebwe could have some short-term value if Houston keeps him in the regular rotation while Capela and Adams are out.
