DeAndre Carter Dec 9 2:30pm ET

Houston Texans wide receiver Deandre Carter (concussion) suffered a concussion in Week 14 against the Colts and will not return to the game. Carter had one catch for no gain before leaving the game. With Keke Coutee (hamstring) inactive, Sammie Coates will serve in three-receiver sets behind DeAndre Hopkins and Demaryius Thomas for the rest of this contest.

Jordan Reed Dec 9 2:20pm ET

Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed (ankle) limped off with the medical staff in the first quarter of Week 14 against the Giants after having his ankle rolled up on during a run play. There is no word on whether he'll be able to return to the game, so consider him questionable, at best. Reed didn't have a catch yet in the game and has 54 receptions for 558 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games coming into this one. The Redskins continue to drop like flies due to injuries. If Reed doesn't return, it should mean more work for receivers Jamison Crowder and Josh Doctson, although quarterback Mark Sanchez can't be trusted to get anyone the ball. Tight end Vernon Davis will see more playing time as well.

Isaiah Crowell Dec 9 2:20pm ET

New York Jets running back Isaiah Crowell (foot) left the game early in Week 14 against the Bills with a foot injury. It could be an aggravation of the injury that made Crowell questionable for this game in the first place, but we'll have to see. He had only two carries for five yards and a catch for two yards before leaving. Consider him questionable to return. Elijah McGuire and rookie Trenton Cannon should split the workload if Crowell doesn't return to this game.

    From RotoBaller

LeSean McCoy Dec 9 2:10pm ET

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is questionable to return to the Week 14 game against the Jets with a hamstring injury. McCoy had just two carries for one yard and dropped his only target in the passing game before leaving the game. Owners that have him in their lineups in the first week of the fantasy playoffs are surely hoping that he can return to this game. Chris Ivory and Marcus Murphy will fill in in the backfield if McCoy doesn't return, but rookie quarterback Josh Allen has had no problem running the ball already.

Doug Marrone Dec 9 1:30pm ET

There is growing belief that Jacksonville Jaguars president Tom Coughlin could wind up serving as the head coach in 2019. The team was embarrassed in a blowout loss to the Titans last Thursday after surprising with an AFC Championship appearances in 2017. The Jaguars have been marred by fights, suspensions and lack of discipline all year, and Coughlin is a noted disciplinarian who has been frustrated by what has transpired this year, according to a source. Current head coach Doug Marrone hasn't been able to get control of the team, which has led to a franchise in crisis. It remains to be seen if the 72-year-old Coughlin would be able to handle the rigors of coaching again, however.

Kareem Hunt Dec 9 1:20pm ET

Free-agent running back Kareem Hunt has entered counseling for alcohol and anger management this week, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. Hunt was released by the Kansas City Chiefs last week after a video surfaced that showed him attacking a woman in a hotel in February. Hunt is being investigated by the NFL and is expected to receive a suspension longer than six games for next season. While Hunt has too much talent not to be given another chance next year, his fantasy value will obviously take a huge hit if he's suspended for around half of the 2019 season.

Blake Bortles Dec 9 1:20pm ET

The Jacksonville Jaguars plan to move on from quarterback Blake Bortles in the offseason. "I'm told that Blake Bortles's future does not include the Jacksonville Jaguars," Ian Rapoport said on Up to the Minute Live. "Not that this is a surprise at all. But they are expected to move on from him in this offseason." It's "unlikely" they'll trade him after signing him to a three-year, $54 million deal last offseason, which included $26.5 million in guaranteed money and a $15 million signing bonus. If they release him, they'll take a $16.5 million dead-money salary cap hit. Bortles has been awful this year after leading the team to the AFC Championship a season ago, and he was benched in favor of Cody Kessler in Week 13. He has thrown 13 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and has 2,572 yards in 11 games this year to go along with a 46.8 QB rating. Bortles will try to latch on with another team as a backup if the Jags get rid of him.

Josh Gordon Dec 9 1:20pm ET

Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard (knee), who is out for Week 14 against the Patriots, recently had arthroscopic surgery to trim his meniscus injury, according to sources. It's a minor procedure, so he hasn't been ruled out yet for Week 15 against the Vikings. His absence against the Patriots is notable, though, and it's good news for New England receiver Josh Gordon.

    From RotoBaller

Philip Rivers Dec 9 1:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Eric Berry (heel) should make his 2018 season debut next Thursday in a big divisional matchup with the Chargers. Berry practiced for the second straight week but was inactive in Week 14 against the Ravens. His return will be a boost to what has been a weak secondary this year, but it shouldn't deter those that own Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.

    From RotoBaller

Christian Kirk Dec 9 1:10pm ET

Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay (ankle), who is questionable for Week 14 against the Cardinals, is expected to play on Sunday, according to a source. Slay is the team's top cornerback, so that's great news for them as they go up against one of the worst offenses in the league. Slay could shadow Cardinals deep-threat wideout J.J. Nelson in this contest. Detroit's defense is a DFS sleeper with Arizona missing rookie Christian Kirk for the rest of the year.

    From RotoBaller

Alex Smith Dec 9 1:10pm ET

Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith (leg), who remains in the hospital after needing additional surgeries to fight an infection in his surgically repaired broken leg, is unlikely to be ready for the start of the 2019 season. Mark Sanchez isn't the answer next year to begin the year, so the 'Skins will need to look for another signal caller in the offseason. Smith wasn't having a very good year in his first year in D.C. and won't be attractive to fantasy owners heading into next year after a gruesome leg break that could be career-threatening.

    From RotoBaller

Jaylen Samuels Dec 9 1:00pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie running back/tight end Jaylen Samuels is expected to see most of the carries in Week 14 against the Raiders with James Conner (ankle) out. Samuels could split touches with Stevan Ridley, but Samuels is the preferred fantasy play if you need another running back in the first round of the fantasy playoffs. With Conner in danger of missing Week 15, too, Samuels should now be owned in all leagues and has RB2 upside against a bad Oakland defense on Sunday.

    From RotoBaller

Melvin Gordon Dec 9 1:00pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon (knee) could return in Week 15 against the Chiefs on Thursday, as his injury wasn't as serious as the team initially thought. Gordon didn't practice at all last week and could be in danger of seeing limited snaps if he returns in a big game against the division rivals next week. However, if Gordon is active next Thursday, it'll be hard for fantasy owners to keep him out of their lineups. Austin Ekeler and rookie Justin Jackson will continue to split the backfield touches in a great matchup with the Bengals in Week 14.

    From RotoBaller

Cam Newton Dec 9 12:50pm ET

The Carolina Panthers are not worried about quarterback Cam Newton's shoulder, and he can still make all the necessary throws he needs to heading into Week 14 against the Browns. Newton is not expected to need another offseason surgery on his right shoulder either. Against a Browns defense missing stud rookie cornerback Denzel Ward in Week 14, Newton will once again be a QB1 for fantasy owners.

    From RotoBaller

Doug Martin Dec 9 12:50pm ET

Oakland Raiders running back Doug Martin (knee), who is questionable for Week 14 against the Steelers, is expected to play on Sunday, according to a source. He will play, but he could be somewhat limited and is in danger of being phased out of the offense if the team falls behind big against a strong Steelers offense. Martin is a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex that could lose a lot of touches to passing back Jalen Richard.

    From RotoBaller

Matt Bryant Dec 9 12:30pm ET

Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant (back) is active for Week 14 against the Packers. With the 43-year-old playing on Sunday, backup Giorgio Tavecchio is a healthy scratch. Bryant has been perfect on all 15 of his field goals this year and has missed just one of his 21 extra-point tries. Atlanta's offense hasn't been as good as expected again this year but should have no problem moving the ball against Green Bay this weekend, making Bryant an acceptable fantasy kicker.

    From RotoBaller

Keke Coutee Dec 9 12:20pm ET

Houston Texans rookie wide receiver Keke Coutee (hamstring) and running back D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) are both inactive for Week 14 against the Colts. Coutee will miss his second straight game and just hasn't been able to get over his hamstring issues all year. He has long-term upside but should be on waivers in redraft leagues at this point. Sammie Coates and Deandre Carter will fight for work in three-wide sets with rookie Vyncint Smith a healthy scratch. Foreman was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list this week but won't make his season debut until at least next week. He's not an attractive stash for those in the fantasy playoffs.

    From RotoBaller

Brandon Marshall Dec 9 12:10pm ET

New Orleans Saints tight end Dan Arnold and wide receiver Brandon Marshall are healthy scratches for Week 14 against the Buccaneers. Arnold had been used more of late over Benjamin Watson as the pass-catching tight end and scored his first touchdown of the year on Nov. 22 against the Falcons. Watson should have a bigger role in an excellent matchup against Tampa on Sunday, but he's still more of a TE2. Marshall has yet to play for the Saints after being signed about a month ago.

    From RotoBaller

Charcandrick West Dec 9 12:10pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry (heel) remains inactive for Week 14 against the Ravens. Running back Charcandrick West is also a healthy scratch after being signed last week. Berry has yet to play in 2018 but has been practicing in recent weeks and is getting close to making his first start of the year. That could come next Thursday in a big divisional matchup with the Chargers. Berry's presence in the secondary will give them a boost whenever he finally steps foot between the lines.

    From RotoBaller

Joe Flacco Dec 9 12:00pm ET

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is officially inactive for Sunday's Week 14 contest against the Chiefs. After ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Flacco would suit up for the game earlier on Sunday, ESPN's Chris Mortensen recently clarified the statement and said that Flacco will not play after all. Thus, making Lamar Jackson a strong QB2 play with high upside while Robert Griffin III will be active and will serve as Jackson's backup.
