Aaron Rodgers Sep 24 3:30pm ET

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a tough time getting anything going in their Week 3 loss against the Washington Redskins. Rodgers completed 27 of his 44 passing attempts, but only got 265 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Part of the issue for the Packers was that they only attempted 17 runs, and they weren't that successful when trying to run. The Packers need to be better balance on offense to win games, and to do that they needed to keep the score of this game closer. The Packers face the Buffalo Bills in Week 4.

Leonard Fournette Sep 24 3:30pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said running backs Leonard Fournette (hamstring) and T.J. Yeldon (ankle) will be day-to-day this week. Fournette practiced on a limited basis last week but sat out for the second straight game. If he can get in a full practice at some point this week, he should be good to go in Week 4 against the Jets. Yeldon has filled in for Fournette each of the past two weeks but hasn't been that great for fantasy owners who plugged him in. Fournette will return to RB1 status if he's active against the Jets.

Matt Bryant Sep 24 3:20pm ET

Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant had an extremely quiet day against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Despite the Falcons scoring 37 points, Bryant only had three extra points to show for his days work. Bryant did make a field goal attempt, but a personal foul on the Saints allowed the Falcons to continue the drive with their offense, which resulted in a touchdown. In addition, the Falcons were forced to go for two-point conversions on two of their touchdowns. The fact that the Falcons defense is crumbling is potentially bad news for Bryant's fantasy value this season. It means the Falcons offense may have to go for touchdowns at every possible opportunity, limiting Bryant's chances to make plays and put point on the board.

Jimmy Garoppolo Sep 24 3:20pm ET

An MRI exam on Monday confirmed that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (knee) has a torn ACL, according to a source. He will miss the rest of the 2018 season. It's a really big blow to a team that lost running back Jerick McKinnon to the same injury before the season even started. Garoppolo can now be safely dumped in single-year formats. In his place, C.J. Beathard will take over under center. As a result, you'll need to downgrade any San Fran pass-catchers in fantasy. The Chargers defense/special teams will be back in the picture as a strong play in Week 4.

Mohamed Sanu Sep 24 3:20pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu caught his first touchdown of the 2018 season on Sunday. Sanu also added a two-point conversion on the following play which will have added a little extra value to his fantasy points. However, Sanu's day was not all good news as he only caught four of his seven targets for 36 yards. This was Sanu's best game of the 2018 season with a season high in targets and receiving yards. Sanu's impact on this offense has been extremely marginalized with the arrival of Calvin Ridley. The veteran receiver is becoming a touchdown dependent fantasy option, which is extremely concerning for those fantasy owners who invested in him in deeper leagues.

    Sep 24 3:20pm ET

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden announced Monday that running back Adrian Peterson (ankle) suffered a sprained ankle in the Week 3 win over the Packers. However, he should be ready to face the Saints in Week 5. The Redskins are on a bye in Week 4. It doesn't sound serious, but Peterson will have the bye week to rest up and should return as a strong RB2 choice against New Orleans. The veteran back rushed 19 times for 120 yards (6.3 yards per carry) and two touchdowns against Green Bay.

Austin Hooper Sep 24 3:10pm ET

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper failed to build on the momentum he had built in the second week of the NFL season. Hooper did not let himself down catching three of his four targets for 23 yards. However, after coming into the game leading the Falcons in red-zone targets through two weeks, Hooper failed to register a single target in the red zone this time around. For fantasy purposes this was an extremely disappointing week for Hooper, but the fact that Ryan did not look his way in the red zone makes this all the more concerning. Unfortunately, Hooper resides in a group of tight ends whose value to fantasy owners is touchdown-dependent.

Cam Newton Sep 24 3:00pm ET

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton destroyed the Bengals defense on Sunday. Newton completed 15 of his 24 passing attempts for 150 yards and two touchdowns. He also got it done on the ground, rushing the ball 10 times for 36 yards and two touchdowns. Newton has been impressive this season and has thrown for five touchdowns with only one pick in addition to three rushing touchdowns. With an early bye week, the Panthers will get some rest before meeting up with the Giants in Week 5.

Dalvin Cook Sep 24 3:00pm ET

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (hamstring) is still "day-to-day" and will see how he feels on Thursday. He said he's feeling good and that there is a good chance he'll play on Thursday against the Rams. Cook said he'd "definitely" play on Sunday, so he's pumping the breaks a little bit on a short week. He could be a game-time decision, but fantasy owners need to plan now in case he misses his second straight game. Latavius Murray fell flat as Cook's replacement in a surprising blowout loss to the Bills in Week 3. However, the main reason was that Minnesota was down big and was forced to abandon the running game. If Cook is out again this Thursday, consider Murray an RB3/flex option against a tough defensive front of the Rams.

Christian McCaffrey Sep 24 2:50pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey had himself a day on Sunday in the win over the Cincinnati Bengals. McCaffrey uncharacteristically got it done running the ball, rushing for 184 yards on 28 attempts. However, unlike previous weeks, he wasn't as efficient in the receiving game as he only pulled in two passes for just 10 yards. Nonetheless, McCaffrey still had a successful outing and will continue to produce moving forward with him likely reverting to gaining most of his fantasy points off of receptions.

Muhammad Wilkerson Sep 24 2:50pm ET

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle) underwent surgery on Sunday and will likely miss the rest of the season. McCarthy said it was a "significant" injury. Wilkerson had only two tackles on the season, but nevertheless it's a blow to Green Bay's pass rush moving forward.

Calvin Ridley Sep 24 2:50pm ET

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley had a superb three touchdown performance against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. One of Ridley's touchdowns was a 75-yard reception where he showed off the speed that many questioned he had. In total Ridley had seven receptions on eight targets for 146 yards. After being blanked in Week 1, Ridley has bounced back in superb style. In this offense, with all their weapons, nothing is for certain but right now it looks as though Ridley is right there with Sanu as the number two weapon to Julio Jones. After the last two weeks it is hard to ignore Ridley in any leagues, especially given that this offense is going to need to put up a lot of points if they are to win any games this year.

Marcus Mariota Sep 24 2:40pm ET

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that there are still some throws that quarterback Marcus Mariota (elbow) can't make, but the team will work around it. Vrabel is hoping that the whole package for Mariota comes back this week against the Eagles. The injured QB only came into the game in Week 3 after Blaine Gabbert suffered a concussion early on. Mariota went 12-for-18 for 100 yards without a touchdown or interception. Even before his injury, Mariota was a QB2, so his injury coupled with another tough matchup against Philly puts him in the low-end QB2 realm.

Anthony Miller Sep 24 2:10pm ET

Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Anthony Miller (shoulder) is being listed as day-to-day, according to head coach Matt Nagy. This is good news after Miller left with what looked like a serious shoulder injury in Week 3 against the Cardinals. The rookie wideout has eight catches on 11 targets for 60 yards and a touchdown through three weeks. His status for Week 4 won't be known until practices begin on Wednesday. For now, Miller has plenty of upside but can't be trusted in most fantasy leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Blaine Gabbert Sep 24 2:10pm ET

Tennessee Titans quarterback Blaine Gabbert (head) remains in the concussion protocol after leaving the Week 3 game early, according to head coach Mike Vrabel. Gabbert had attempted only three passes before he left the game against the Jaguars on Sunday. With Marcus Mariota (elbow) playing the rest of the game in the win, it seems likely that Mariota will be back under center in Week 4 even if Gabbert is cleared to play.

Tramaine Brock Sep 24 1:53pm ET

Denver Broncos CB Tramaine Brock (groin) is expected to be day-to-day with a groin injury after MRI results revealed no structural damage Monday, Sept. 24.

Vernon Davis Sep 24 1:50pm ET

Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis reeled in two catches on two targets for 70 yards on Sunday. That's the good news. The bad news, for fantasy purposes, is that he now has four targets and 86 receiving yards on the season. As such, his relatively productive performance against the Packers should be taken with a grain of salt. He has the lowest target share of any Redskins pass-catcher, trailing even Adrian Peterson in that category. Even in Washington's Week 2 loss, when Alex Smith had to throw the ball 46 times, Davis was targeted just once. As long as Jordan Reed is around, Davis is a last resort in the Redskins' passing game.

    From RotoBaller

Alfred Morris Sep 24 1:50pm ET

San Francisco 49ers running back Alfred Morris continued to split carries with running back Matt Breida but was still able to put on a solid showing in the loss to the Chiefs, finishing the day with 67 yards and a touchdown off of 14 carries. With Breida potentially missing the team's next game against the Chargers after suffering a knee injury, Morris could find himself getting a temporary expanded role. Fantasy owners will want to monitor this situation throughout the week.

    From RotoBaller

Tyrod Taylor Sep 24 1:43pm ET

Cleveland Browns QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) did not practice Monday, Sept. 24.

Marcus Peters Sep 24 1:43pm ET

Los Angeles Rams CB Marcus Peters (calf) is expected to miss two to four weeks with a calf strain after an MRI revealed no structural damage Monday, Sept. 24.
