Maxx Williams Jul 25 12:30pm ET

Baltimore Ravens tight end Maxx Williams, who had offseason knee surgery, will avoid the Physically Unable to Perform list to begin training camp. That's great news for Williams, but he's still likely behind both Benjamin Watson and Crockett Gillmore in the tight end pecking order. It would take an injury to one of Watson or Gillmore for Williams to be fantasy relevant in 2017.

Kenneth Dixon Jul 25 12:20pm ET

Baltimore Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon suffered a torn meniscus in his knee, according to a source informed of the situation. He'll undergo surgery Tuesday, but the team is hoping it's just a trim of the meniscus and not anything more invasive. It's another big blow to the running back, who was already slated to be suspended for the first four games of the year. Meniscus tears typically come with a six- to eight-week recovery period. He'll now be one to avoid in fantasy drafts, while Danny Woodhead and Terrance West become much more attractive in this backfield.

Greg Olsen Jul 25 12:20pm ET

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen showed up to the team facilities Tuesday and indicated that he isn't planning to hold out of training camp and "will play out" his contract. Olsen finished as a top-five fantasy tight end in 2016 and went over 1,000 yards for the third straight year, but his owners will complain about the three touchdowns. Even on the wrong side of 30, Olsen is an elite fantasy tight end that should remain a heavy factor in Carolina's passing game.

Kenneth Dixon Jul 25 9:13am ET

Updating an earlier report, Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (knee) suffered a torn meniscus and will require surgery, according to a source. The hope is he just requires a trim of the cartilage, but his status will be determined after surgery.

Fantasy Spin: This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on.

Carlos Hyde Jul 25 12:43am ET

San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde could be a surprise cut before the start of the regular season, according to Gregg Rosenthal of

Fantasy Spin: This would be a shock but is a situation to watch. Hyde's stock is really dropping.

Wendell Smallwood Jul 25 12:33am ET

Philadelphia Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood will have a 'pretty significant role' in the upcoming season, according to Reuben Frank of He added that the team likes Smallwood.

Kendall Langford Jul 24 9:03pm ET

Indianapolis Colts DE Kendall Langford (knee) will start training camp on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list but is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, according to general manager Chris Ballard.

Michael Mauti Jul 24 8:03pm ET

Free-agent LB Michael Mauti (Saints) signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints Monday, July 24. He will receive $775,000 base salary with $125,000 in guaranteed money and an $80,000 signing bonus, according to a source.

Theo Riddick Jul 24 7:53pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (wrist) expects to be ready for the start of training camp but it is not known if he will be limited during the early part of camp. Riddick's surgically repaired wrists are structurally sound, according to a source.

Maxx Williams Jul 24 7:23pm ET

Baltimore Ravens TE Maxx Williams (knee) was able to get on the practice field Saturday, July 22, after undergoing a rare knee surgery last season.

Robert Griffin III Jul 24 7:23pm ET

Free-agent QB Robert Griffin III (Browns) is scheduled to work out for the Los Angeles Chargers Tuesday, July 25, according to a source.

Greg Olsen Jul 24 6:43pm ET

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen will report to training camp on time Tuesday, July 25, even though he considered holding out because he wants a new contract, according to a source.

Cole Beasley Jul 24 6:03pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (hamstring) is prepared to receive a full workload in training camp, according to head coach Jason Garrett. Beasley has been hampered by a hamstring injury that sidelined him during offseason activities.

Derrick Johnson Jul 24 5:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson (Achilles') is ready for the start of training camp this week despite recovering from his torn Achilles' tendon.

Travis Kelce Jul 24 5:43pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (shoulder) is ready for the start of training camp this week despite recovering from a shoulder injury.

Cole Beasley Jul 24 5:40pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley (hamstring) has been cleared for training camp. He's been out for offseason programs, but is ready for a full workload to start camp. Beasley is starting his age-28 season, looking to improve on his career highs from last season (98 targets and 75 catches). He's a solid depth WR with a high floor but a low ceiling.

Alan Branch Jul 24 5:23pm ET

New England Patriots LB Dont'a Hightower (undisclosed) and DT Alan Branch (undisclosed) were placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Monday, July 24.

Howard Wilson Jul 24 5:23pm ET

Cleveland Browns CB Howard Wilson (knee) was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Monday, July 24.

Chad Kelly Jul 24 4:53pm ET

Denver Broncos QB Chad Kelly (wrist), LB Shaquil Barrett (hip) and TE Jake Butt (knee) were placed on the Non-Football Injury list Monday, July 24. Additionally, DT Kyle Peko (foot) will begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Willie Snead Jul 24 1:53pm ET

New Orleans Saints exclusive rights free-agent WR Willie Snead said he'll report to camp Thursday, July 27, despite his desire for a new contract.
