Guest of the League
Homies Est. 2007
FFL: Week 11 | NFL: Week 11

Commissioner Note

Homies,

With Trey McBridge playing tres bien (32 points), Warren ran away from Steve 138-84 to win the game of the week against Steve.  Steve was last seen floating away from the island, pounding brews and mumbling something about having 6 starters score 5 points or less.

Only 305, Hula Hoop, Bijan, Bad News, and Sharpshooters remain on Survivor Island.

Jonathan Taylor ran wild for Emilio, scoring a league season high of 74 points, pacing Emilio to a 171-138 win over Matt.  Believe it or not, this is Emilio’s first time cleanly winning the high score of the week.  In week 6 of 2023, Emilio tied and split the high score of the week purse with Allen.  It’s the fourth time this season, and the third in a row, that Matt has played the high scorer of the week.  In the past three weeks, his opponents have put up 150+ points each time.  Bijan, you have Matt next.  Can you make the streak four games in a row?

Speaking of Bijan, after opening 6-0 and then dropping three straight, he returned to the win column in his 101-96 triumph over the A-Hokes.  With his last three games being his lowest scoring games of the season, Bijan is far from being the world-beater he was for the first 1.5 months.

Treveyon Henderson almost doubled his scoring for the season in one game, racking up 34 points for Jon in his 94-85 win over your humble narrator.

Shaun picked up his 4th straight win by defeating Eagles 105-94.  After a humbling 2-4 start, WFT is now tied for third and in contention to win the regular season.

Tim ambushed Woody 139-65, using Achane’s (plays for Woody’s Dolphins) 48 points to rub it in.  The un-Godly 65 was Woody’s lowest outing of the season.  With no one scoring more than a baker’s dozen for Woody, he never had a prayer.

Good news for everyone.  I’m on vacation and will be making this a short column.  I’ll be in Madrid for the Miami vs. Washington match-up on Sunday.  Look for me (and Cathy) and Woody (and Elizabeth) in the stands if you see the game on TV.  We are four of the eight Finfans expected to attend.

Our game of the week is the 6-5 WFT vs. the 5-5 305.  You ask yourself, why is this the game of the week?  Because it’s the only game where neither team has a losing record.  A win pulls 305 back into the playoff picture, but a win for WFT keeps him in reach of winning the regular season.  Warren will clench a playoff spot with a win this week.  Good luck to everyone this week but Tim.  He is 3-0 vs. Finfans this season, and it’s time for the finocide to end!

Allen
