Deshaun Watson Sep 27 3:10pm ET
    Deshaun Watson

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) was on the field for the team's practice on Wednesday but didn't throw at all in the portion open to the media in order to rest his right shoulder. It's not expected to keep him from playing in Week 4 against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens. Watson, who is coming off arguably his best game in a Browns uniform in the convincing win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 3, should return to the practice field later this week and will be looking to keep things rolling this Sunday. He's developed some nice chemistry with top wideout Amari Cooper and should continue feeding him with running back Nick Chubb (knee) out for the rest of the year.

Gus Edwards Sep 27 2:50pm ET
    Gus Edwards

Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards (concussion) left the Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts to be evaluated for a concussion, but he's already on the practice field on Wednesday heading into Week 4. Meanwhile, Justice Hill (foot) did work on the side. Even if both running backs are active in Week 4, they draw a tough matchup with the Cleveland Browns, who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to running backs thus far. Last week, the Titans were held under 100 total yards, and Derrick Henry was held to 20 rushing yards on 11 carries. This might be a backfield to avoid altogether in this spot, especially given the injury concerns.

Justice Hill Sep 27 2:40pm ET
    Justice Hill

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (foot) missed the Week 3 contest against the Indianapolis Colts with a foot injury. On Wednesday, the 25-year-old was spotted working on a side field during the team's practice. With J.K. Dobbins (Achilles) out for the year and Gus Edwards (concussion) in concussion protocol, Hill is in line to see a healthy workload alongside Melvin Gordon III if he can play in Week 4. Baltimore draws a tough matchup with the fierce Cleveland Browns' defense this week. Cleveland held Derrick Henry to just 20 rushing yards and limited the Titans to just 94 yards of total offense last week. That said, Hill and Gordon are risky fantasy assets in this spot.

Rashod Bateman Sep 27 2:30pm ET
    Rashod Bateman

Baltimore Ravens wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) and Rashod Bateman (hamstring) are not participating in practice on Wednesday. Beckham missed the Week 3 loss to the Indianapolis Colts with an ankle injury, while Bateman suffered a hamstring injury in that contest. Tylan Wallace (hamstring) was recently placed on Injured Reserve, so the wide receiver room is thin in Baltimore. Zay Flowers, Nelson Agholor, and Devin Duvernay are the only three healthy wideouts on the active roster. Given the injury absences or limitations, Flowers is a virtual must-start moving forward.

Breece Hall Sep 27 1:50pm ET
    Breece Hall

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) will remain a limited participant in the first practice of the week on Wednesday. Hall continues to be limited in practices early in the year after tearing his ACL in his rookie campaign in 2022, but he has yet to miss any games so far and shouldn't be in any danger of being limited in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. The 22-year-old out-snapped Dalvin Cook in the Week 3 loss to the New England Patriots, but neither he nor Cook did much damage at all in a slugging Jets offense led by disappointing third-year quarterback Zach Wilson. Hall is going to be the Jets' lead back when all is said and done this year, but if the Jets can't find a way to get better QB play, this offense could be stuck in the mud for much of the season.

Kareem Hunt Sep 27 1:40pm ET
    Kareem Hunt

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he expects running back Kareem Hunt (groin, ribs) to play in Week 4 against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens on Sunday despite not practicing on Wednesday. Hunt apparently was banged up in his 2023 debut in Sunday's victory over the Tennessee Titans, but he should be able to return to practice later this week and play in Week 4. The 28-year-old played 20 percent of the team's offensive snaps last week compared to Jerome Ford's 56 percent. He had just five carries for 13 yards and caught two passes for 22 yards. Hunt should be more involved as the season progresses, but he'll still be a shaky flex play in deeper leagues, at best, if he plays in Week 4.

Jaylen Waddle Sep 27 1:30pm ET
    Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (concussion) will practice in full on Wednesday, according to head coach Mike McDaniel, and if all goes well, Waddle will clear the league's concussion protocol and return in Week 4 on Sunday for a showdown against the division-rival Buffalo Bills. Barring a setback at practice this week, Waddle looks set to play this weekend after sitting out the record-setting 70-20 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 3. The 24-year-old has so far taken a back seat to All-Pro Tyreek Hill in his two games played so far in 2023, but Waddle can go off at any moment and should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups if he's active against Buffalo.

Jonathan Mingo Sep 27 1:20pm ET
    Jonathan Mingo

Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Jonathan Mingo (concussion) will not take part in practice on Wednesday. Mingo is in the league's concussion protocol after suffering a concussion in the Week 3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He'll have to pass through the protocols at some point this week to get the green light to suit up this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. The 22-year-old second-rounder has plenty of long-term intrigue with quarterback Bryce Young, but he'll be inconsistent for fantasy managers in single-year leagues in 2023 behind Adam Thielen and DJ Chark Jr. In his first three NFL games, Mingo has secured eight of 19 targets for 64 yards and no touchdowns.

    From RotoBaller

Bryce Young Sep 27 1:10pm ET
    Bryce Young

Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich said that rookie quarterback Bryce Young (ankle) will return to practice on Wednesday, but it's unclear exactly how much he'll do. Even if Young ends up being a limited participant, it's a step in the right direction after he was held out of the Week 3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. A return to practice early in the week should at least give the 22-year-old first-rounder a chance to return this Sunday for a Week 4 matchup against the winless Minnesota Vikings. Veteran Andy Dalton put up big numbers in the loss last Sunday, but if he's ready, the Panthers are going to go back to Young this weekend. Against one of the weaker defenses in the NFL, Young could have some upside as a QB2 this week if he plays.

Deon Jackson Sep 27 12:13pm ET
    Deon Jackson

Dynasty | The Browns have signed Deon Jackson to their practice squad. Dynasty Analysis: Jackson was the week one starter for Indianapolis but quickly fell out of favor when Zack Moss returned in week two, leading to his surprise release. He's just a practice squad player at the moment and not worthy of a dynasty roster spot right now. However, this is a situation to monitor with Nick Chubb out for the season.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Trevor Siemian Sep 27 12:13pm ET
    Trevor Siemian

Dynasty | The Jets have signed free agent quarterback Trevor Siemian. Dynasty Analysis: The Jets apparently refused overtures from the likes of Colin Kaepernick, Matt Ryan and Carson Wentz and chose to grab Siemian off the scrap heap instead. It's an interesting development as it seems Zach Wilson has already lost the locker room as the Jets season looks to already be on the brink. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Siemian starting in the short-term. He'd be worth an add in deep leagues.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

    Tre'Quan Smith Sep 27 12:13pm ET
    Tre'Quan Smith

Dynasty | The Saints have cut wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith. Dynasty Analysis: There were times over the past few years where it looked like Smith was going to be a legitimate fantasy performer. Unfortunately, things just didn't work out for him in New Orleans and he'll join a long list of wide receivers looking for work. He's off the dynasty radar at the moment.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Anthony Richardson Sep 27 11:50am ET
    Anthony Richardson

Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson (concussion) is still in the league's concussion protocol, but he's expected to practice on Wednesday and will take starter's repetitions, according to head coach Shane Steichen. It's a good sign for Richardson's progress and chances to start in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams. The first-round rookie suffered a concussion in Week 2 and was held out of last week's upset win over the Baltimore Ravens in overtime, but it looks like there's a chance he'll only miss one game. Although backup Gardner Minshew game-managed the team to a big win this past weekend, Richardson is going to be Indy's starter under center if he's cleared. It's likely he'll be listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday's official report.

Trevor Siemian Sep 27 11:30am ET
    Trevor Siemian

The New York Jets signed veteran free-agent quarterback Trevor Siemian to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to the team. Siemian was released by the Cincinnati Bengals in the preseason and will join Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle in the team's QB room after future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles on the first offensive series of the year. Wilson will make another start in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but Siemian gives the Jets another QB with starting experience in case Wilson continues to struggle. With Wilson under center, the offense has generated only three touchdowns in nearly three full games. Siemian is 13-17 in his career with 42 TDSs and 28 interceptions, and he hasn't won a start since 2017.

Myles Gaskin Sep 27 11:30am ET
    Myles Gaskin

The Minnesota Vikings re-signed running back Myles Gaskin to their practice squad on Wednesday. Gaskin, who began the year with the Miami Dolphins before being released, will continue to provide running back depth in Minnesota behind Alexander Mattison, Cam Akers and Ty Chandler. The 26-year-old was active in Week 2 and played two snaps on special teams, but he didn't get on the field at all on offense. The former seventh-round selection of the Dolphins in 2019 out of Washington has 361 career carries for 1,355 yards and seven touchdowns in 39 games (17 starts), all in a four-year span in Miami.

Christian Watson Sep 27 11:20am ET
    Christian Watson

The Green Bay Packers are optimistic that both running back Aaron Jones (hamstring) and wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) will return from their injuries to play on Thursday night against the Detroit Lions. However, head coach Matt LaFleur insisted that both players still need to be cleared before Thursday. Jones had 127 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in the season opener and would return to his lead-back role this week, making him a high-end RB2 for fantasy lineups. Watson, who has yet to play in 2023, said he was "pretty close" to play in the Week 3 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Watson should be quarterback Jordan Love's go-to target this year, but fantasy managers may want to temper expectations this week if he indeed is active.

    From RotoBaller

Zay Jones Sep 27 11:10am ET
    Zay Jones

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said that wide receiver Zay Jones (knee), who is being considered day-to-day, is a "long shot" to play in Week 4 this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons in London. Jones didn't practice at all last week and was held out of the disappointing loss to the Houston Texans. The 28-year-old could get back on the practice field later this week, but it doesn't mean the Jaguars will be comfortable with putting him on the field on game day yet. If Jones misses another game, Jamal Agnew would once again have a bigger role as the No. 3 behind Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk. Agnew caught four of a season-high five targets for 49 yards in last Sunday's loss to Houston.

    From RotoBaller

Jimmy Garoppolo Sep 27 10:10am ET
    Jimmy Garoppolo

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (concussion) was placed in concussion protocol early this week after getting banged up in the Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the team is optimistic that he will available against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. The veteran could be a streaming option against the lackluster Chargers' secondary if he's active, but his presence in the lineup is mostly important for wide receivers Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers. If he doesn't play, Brian Hoyer would likely start. Adams would still be a must-start option, but Meyers' outlook would take a big hit. This is worth monitoring as the week moves forward.

    From RotoBaller

Rachaad White Sep 27 9:50am ET
    Rachaad White

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White has been given 58 touches through the team's first three games. 19.3 touches per game for a running back is relatively rare in the modern NFL, but he's failed to produce big fantasy football numbers due to struggles on the offensive line and an inability to get downhill quickly. After the Monday night loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles was critical of White's play. "He probably had too many cuts trying to make an explosive play -- something out of nothing -- as opposed to taking what they give him," said Bowles. "Given the magnitude of the game, knowing it was going to be one of those types of games, just from an experience standpoint he can get better that way, and he will." The 24-year-old has averaged just 3.1 yards per carry this season but remains on the fantasy radar due to his workload and pass-catching acumen. If his efficiency improves, he could post a handful of RB1 weeks throughout the 2023 campaign.

    From RotoBaller

Quentin Johnston Sep 27 9:40am ET
    Quentin Johnston

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston has had a quiet first three games to begin his career. The TCU product was selected by the Chargers with the 21st pick of the 2023 NFL Draft but started the season behind Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Joshua Palmer on the depth chart. Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is confident Johnston can step up after the season-ending knee injury suffered by Williams in Week 3. "All he needs to continue to do is do what he's done ever since he's been here, which is to continue to make progress on the field," Staley said. "Over time, he's going to make more and more plays for us. We're really happy with him, and he's going to get to shine in a bigger way now." The 6'4" rookie will have a chance to put up fantasy-relevant numbers in the team's pass-happy offense led by Justin Herbert.
