Free-agent quarterback Cam Newton is set to throw at Auburn's Pro Day on Tuesday. The 33-year-old appears to be attempting a come back after not playing last season. He last played with the Carolina Panthers in 2021. During that season, Newton threw for 684 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions in eight games (five starts) with Carolina. It's hard to imagine the former MVP being able to find a starting spot in the NFL right now. Possibly, he's able to find a spot as a backup, but even that is uncertain at this point.

The Cleveland Browns have agreed on a contract with free-agent quarterback Joshua Dobbs. It's a one-year deal, but the salary has not been announced yet. The 28-year-old was given his first chance to start last season. He threw for 411 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in two starts with the Titans in 2022. The expectation is that he'll compete with Kellen Mond to earn the backup role to Deshaun Watson.

The Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement with free-agent running back Damien Harris. It's a one-year deal as Harris attempts to rebuild his value after posting a dud in 2022. This doesn't come as a surprise given the fact the Bills were seeking a "heavy back" in free agency. The departure of Devin Singletary means that Harris should slide right into the starting role in Buffalo. Although, it's worth noting that James Cook and Nyheim Hines should be in the mix as well. Harris should get the bulk of the goal line work, which should be good for his fantasy value. In 2021, Harris finished with 15 touchdowns before posting a down year last season. A move to Buffalo should be good news for the fantasy value of Harris going into next season.

Free-agent tight end Austin Hooper plans to visit with the Las Vegas Raiders. The two-time Pro Bowl tight end hasn't been the same since he signed with the Cleveland Browns in 2020. Hooper was barely used during his time in Cleveland before joining the Tennessee Titans last season. He posted 41 receptions, 444 yards, and two touchdowns in 17 games (two starts) with the Titans last season. The Raiders have brought in O.J. Howard and now possibly Hooper to replace stud tight end Darren Waller. It's hard to imagine Hooper reviving his career even as the No. 1 tight end in Las Vegas.

Dynasty | The Houston Texans have signed running back Devin Singletary Dynasty Analysis: Before you get too excited, it's a one-year deal worth up to $3.75 million - hardly the kind of money a team spends on a starter. The expectation here would be Singletary being used as a change of pace complement to Dameon Pierce. It's an odd fit considering Singletary isn't known for being an elite pass catcher or really suited for third down work. Still, it's a low cost signing that should solidify the backfield in Houston. As for Singletary, his ranking of RB38 is only going to go up if the Texans come out and say they want this to be a true committee or 1-2 punch with Pierce.
Dynasty | The Texans have signed tight end Dalton Schultz. Dynasty Analysis: Schultz gets a one-year deal worth up to $9 million. Considering many expected him to join Justin Herbert in Los Angeles, this development is a little disappointing. Still, the recent trade of Brandin Cooks has opened up targets in Houston and Schultz is more than capable of taking some of those vacated looks. Schultz' production went from 78/808/8 in 2021 to 57/577/5 in 2022. With a rookie quarterback in tow, it's quite likely we see something in between next year for our TE10 as Schultz should provide a pretty solid safety valve.
The Baltimore Ravens hosted free-agent wide receiver Nelson Agholor on a visit. Baltimore's search for more receiving help continues. As things currently stand, Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay and James Proche II are their top three wideouts, so the Ravens will certainly add to the position via free agency and/or the upcoming draft in April. Agholor, the former first-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015, spent the last two years with the New England Patriots, where he caught 68 of his 117 targets for 835 yards and five touchdowns in 31 games (20 starts). The 29-year-old had only 31 receptions for 362 yards and two scores in 16 games (seven starts) in 2022. A change of scenery to Baltimore would make Agholor slightly more attractive in deeper fantasy leagues, depending on who else the Ravens add at the position.

The Houston Texans reached an agreement to sign former Buffalo Bills free-agent running back Devin Singletary to an undisclosed deal on Monday, according to a source. Singletary will give the Texans an additional weapon alongside Dameon Pierce, who thoroughly impressed in his rookie season in 2022 before going down with an injury. The 25-year-old has averaged 4.6 yards per carry in each of the last two seasons with the Bills. Singletary totaled 1,099 scrimmage yards last year with Buffalo and added six touchdowns on 215 total touches. He'll serve as a nice complement in Houston's backfield to Pierce, but as long as Pierce stays healthy, Singletary's fantasy upside remain capped.

The Houston Texans are signing free-agent tight end Dalton Schultz to a one-year deal worth up to $9 million on Monday, according to sources. Schultz has 198 catches and 17 touchdowns over the last three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and is only 26 years old. The former fourth-round selection by the Cowboys in 2018 had 57 receptions on 89 targets for 577 yards and five touchdowns in 15 regular season starts in his fifth year in the NFL in 2022. At the most shallow position in fantasy football, Schultz has been a TE1 in Dallas the last few years and will be Houston's primary pass-catching tight end. While he still might be a TE1 in 2023, he'll likely be much more volatile overall with the Texans likely to roll with an inexperienced rookie under center.

Free-agent tight end O.J. Howard signed an undisclosed deal with the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday after visiting with the team. With Darren Waller now in New York and Foster Moreau currently on the open market, Howard joins Jesper Horsted and Cole Fotheringham as the tight ends on roster in Vegas. Howard, a former first-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2017, could help stretch opposing defenses for the Raiders in 2023. The 28-year-old could have some sleeper potential as a TE2 in fantasy if Moreau doesn't re-sign, but Howard has done very little since his first two years in the NFL. Last year in 13 games (10 starts) for the Houston Texans, he had a career-low 10 receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Howard has only 35 receptions for 426 yards and five touchdowns in the last three years combined.

The Miami Dolphins announced on Monday that they have officially exercised quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's fifth-year option. The move will guarantee him $23.2 million in 2024. It shouldn't come as much of a surprise, though, as the organization has continued to say that Tagovailoa remains in their long-term plans despite the fact that he suffered two documented concussions in 2022. When he was on the field, the 25-year-old had the best season of his young career in head coach Mike McDaniel's offense, completing 64.8 percent of his passes for a career-high 3,548 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 13 starts. With receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle at his disposal, Tagovailoa should be considered an injury-prone, low-end QB1 by fantasy managers.

The Dallas Cowboys were in on Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy before landing wideout Brandin Cooks from the Houston Texans on Sunday. The Broncos have been seeking a first-rounder in exchange for Jeudy, so the Cowboys gave up a fifth-rounder in this year's draft and a sixth-rounder in 2024 to land Cooks instead. Dallas now has CeeDee Lamb, Cooks and Michael Gallup as their top three receivers heading into the 2023 campaign. Jeudy is expected to remain with the Broncos because of his high price tag. The former first-rounder has underwhelmed in his first three NFL seasons, but he did set career-highs in catches (67), receiving yards (972) and touchdowns (six) in 2022.

Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich said that their rookie quarterback that will be drafted with the first overall pick is "going to get a lot of reps" to give him a chance to start right away in 2023. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise, as the Panthers gave away the farm to put themselves in position to take the QB they like the most in this year's draft class at No. 1 overall. Carolina also signed veteran signal-caller Andy Dalton in free agency, but they'd prefer if their rookie quarterback earned the starting gig in training camp this summer. The Panthers have also added running back Miles Sanders, receiver Adam Thielen and tight end Hayden Hurst in free agency, which should take some pressure off whichever rookie signal-caller they take in next month's draft.

Carolina Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer said that the team is still talking with free-agent wide receiver DJ Chark, but nothing is resolved yet. Carolina signed former Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen to a three-year, $25 million deal on Sunday to help replace DJ Moore after they traded him to the Chicago Bears, but apparently the Panthers are still open to adding Chark to bolster their receiving corps. It could still use a boost, as Terrace Marshall Jr. and Laviska Shenault Jr. aren't exactly scaring opposing defenses on game days. Chark had a 1,000-yard season and scored eight touchdowns for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019, but he's been limited by injuries over the last three seasons and had 30 catches for 502 yards and three touchdowns in only 11 games for the Detroit Lions in 2022.

The Las Vegas Raiders are hosting former first-round tight end O.J. Howard for a visit, according to sources. As the Raiders look to replace Darren Waller after they traded him to the New York Giants last week, Howard is a pass-catcher who can help stretch opposing defenses. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneer made 10 starts for the Houston Texans last year and disappointed with a career-low 10 receptions (23 targets) for 145 yards and two touchdowns in 13 total games. There is opportunity at the position in Vegas, as Jesper Horsted and Cole Fotheringham are the only two tight ends currently on the roster. Howard hasn't done much since his first two years in the league with Tampa, when he combined for 60 catches, 997 yards and 11 touchdowns in 24 games (22 starts).

The Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms with free-agent wide receiver Zach Pascal on an undisclosed two-year deal on Monday, according to sources. Pascal and new Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon were together with the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles, so Gannon knows that Pascal is a well-rounded receiver. The 28-year-old pass-catcher had a career-low 15 receptions on 19 targets for only 150 yards and one touchdown in 17 games (two starts) in his lone season with Philly in 2022. There's a good chance the Cardinals look to trade DeAndre Hopkins this offseason, but Arizona also has Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore and Greg Dortch at the position, so Pascal will be battling for playing time either way in 2023.

The Buffalo Bills signed former Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Trent Sherfield to an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday. Sherfield spent the first three seasons of his NFL career witht he Arizona Cardinals and caught a combined 28 passes for 340 yards and one touchdown on 48 targets over 44 games (four starts) in the desert. He spent 2021 with the Niners and last year with Miami. Sherfield caught a career-high 30 passes (51 targets) for 417 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games (four starts) in 2022 for the Dolphins. The 27-year-old receiver will give the Bills more depth at the position behind Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis after they parted ways with slot man Isaiah McKenzie this offseason.

Dynasty | The Falcons have signed wide receiver Mack Hollins. Dynasty Analysis: Hollins has shown flashes during his stints with the Eagles, Dolphins, and Raiders, culminating in a career high 57/690/4 line last year in Las Vegas. On paper, this looks like a sneaky good signing for Atlanta, who is desperate for receiving help alongside Drake London and Kyle Pitts. While Desmond Ridder needs to show something fast, Hollins is going to carve out some value here - just keep in mind he's going to be 30 years old soon. Hollins' ranking of WR99 should rise a touch now that he's landed in a spot where he should carve out solid playing time.
Dynasty | The Arizona Cardinals have signed wide receiver Zach Pascal to a two-year deal. Dynasty Analysis: Known as a good blocker, Pascal will be reunited with new Cardinals Head Coach Jonathan Gannon, whom he worked with in Philadelphia last year. Pascal has had his moments in the league, including back-to-back 600-yard seasons with Colts, but he hasn't been much of a difference maker. He's currently unranked, but this signing could be notable should the Cardinals move on and trade DeAndre Hopkins. At this point, keep Pascal on your watch list.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Free-agent safety Mike Edwards plans to sign with the Chiefs on a one-year, $3 million deal. The 26-year-old was selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by Tampa Bay, where he played the last four seasons. During that time, he amassed 184 total tackles, seven interceptions, and two sacks (58 games). Kansas City lost Juan Thornhill to the Browns via free agency, so the team needed a replacement. While Edwards isn't as productive as Thornhill, he's an upgrade over the other options on the roster.
