Tim Boyle Dec 5 1:00pm ET
    Tim Boyle

The New York Jets released quarterback Tim Boyle on Tuesday and signed quarterback Brett Rypien off the Seattle Seahawks practice squad in a corresponding move, according to a source. Boyle started for the Jets in their Week 13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday and is now a free agent. The 29-year-old went 14-for-25 for 148 yards, no touchdowns and an interception before being benched for Trevor Siemian in the second half. He wasn't any better in the Week 12 blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins. The Jets want to go back to Zach Wilson as their starter in Week 14 against the Houston Texans, but head coach Robert Saleh hasn't made anything official. It remains unlikely that Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) is going to save the Jets at the end of the regular season.

Christian Kirk Dec 5 1:00pm ET
    Christian Kirk

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk (core) suffered a core-muscle injury in Monday night's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on the first offensive series of the game and likely needs surgery, according to head coach Doug Pederson. Kirk will miss time, but an exact timeline on how long he'll be out is unknown right now. With only five weeks left in the regular season and four in most fantasy leagues (counting playoffs), there's a good chance Kirk won't be available for starting lineups again this year. With the 27-year-old out, Calvin Ridley and tight end Evan Engram should see more targets, while wideouts Zay Jones and Parker Washington should also have bigger roles. However, quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) is also set to miss some time, which makes Jones and Washington a little less attractive as waiver-wire pickups.

Trevor Lawrence Dec 5 12:50pm ET
    Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) has a right high-ankle sprain. Everything is stable, though, and the team will see where he is in a couple of days. Lawrence is likely going to have to miss multiple weeks with the ankle injury he suffered in Monday night's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but the good news is it's not a season-ending injury for the 24-year-old signal-caller. It looked much worse on Monday night, but tests on Tuesday only revealed an ankle sprain. For now, fantasy managers must keep Lawrence stashed and hope he can return if you make a deep run in the playoffs in your league. In the meantime, C.J. Beathard will run the Jaguars offense, which will mean a downgrade for all of the team's pass-catchers.

Tommy DeVito Dec 5 12:40pm ET
    Tommy DeVito

New York Giants rookie quarterback Tommy Devito will make another start in Week 14 on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers, head coach Brian Daboll announced on Tuesday. The Giants had their bye in Week 13 and veteran Tyrod Taylor (ribs) was designated to return from Injured Reserve on Monday, but the G-Men are going to ride DeVito for at least one more game. The 25-year-old has gone 49-for-78 for 523 yards, six touchdowns and one interception as the fill-in for Daniel Jones (knee), who is done for the rest of the year after tearing his ACL. DeVito has also added 13 carries for 54 yards and a lost fumble. He'll remain a desperation low-end QB2 in superflex leagues against a Packers team that is coming off a big win over the defending Super Bowl-champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Mike Vrabel Dec 5 12:30pm ET
    Mike Vrabel

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel announced on Monday that the team fired special teams coordinator Craig Aukerman after the team allowed two crucial blocked punts (one returned for a touchdown) in the Week 13 overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Vrabel replaced Aukerman with special teams assistant Tom Quinn. Punter Ryan Stonehouse injured his knee on the second blocked punt and will require season-ending surgery. The 32-year veteran Quinn is in his first year with the Titans and was with the New York Giants from 2006 to 2021, where he was the special teams coordinator from 2007-17 and the assistant special teams coach from 2018-21.

Justin Fields Dec 5 12:20pm ET
    Justin Fields

The Chicago Bears are expected to have interest in Washington Commanders assistant head coach/offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, among others, with general knowledge that current head coach Matt Eberflus is under evaluation with the team at 4-8, according to a source. Eberflus has gone 7-22 as the Bears' head coach since the start of 2022 and would need a drastic turnaround in the season's final five weeks to avoid being fired. Bieniemy could finally get his call as a head coach this offseason, but it might be tough to pry him away from the Commanders if they believe he's the right guy to replace current head coach Ron Rivera, who is firmly on the hot seat in D.C. Bieniemy could be an interesting fit in Chicago if the Bears decide to stick with quarterback Justin Fields heading into the 2024 season.

Trevor Lawrence Dec 5 12:10pm ET
    Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) appears to have avoided a season-ending injury after he was hurt in the second half of Monday night's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Even if he misses time with the injury, he will be back in 2023. Lawrence looked to be in a lot of pain but tried his best to walk off and into the locker room. Later in the locker room, he tried to stand on his injured ankle before leaving in a walking boot and crutches. We'll have a better idea of the 24-year-old franchise QB's timetable for a return after he undergoes more tests on Tuesday. Fantasy managers are going to be without him for a bit, but he should remain stashed in case he has a chance to return in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, C.J. Beathard will run Jacksonville's offense, starting in Week 14 in a tough matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Rhamondre Stevenson Dec 5 12:10pm ET
    Rhamondre Stevenson

Tests revealed that New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) suffered a right high-ankle sprain in the Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and is now expected to miss "a few weeks," according to a source. High-ankle sprains usually keep players out anywhere from three to five weeks, so fantasy managers realistically may not get Stevenson back before the end of their fantasy season. With the 25-year-old sidelined, Ezekiel Elliott (thigh) should operate as the team's primary back, beginning this Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ty Montgomery and JaMycal Hasty will battle for change-of-pace duties behind him. Given New England's terrible offense and tough matchup against Pittsburgh, Elliott will merely be a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex with the added volume.

Trevor Lawrence Dec 5 11:13am ET
    Trevor Lawrence

Dynasty | Trevor Lawrence exited week 13 with a potentially significant ankle injury.. Dynasty Analysis: An MRI on Tuesday will confirm the severity of the injury but all signs point to a relatively significant high-ankle sprain. He was unable to put any weight on the ankle as he left the X-ray room. It's just the latest in a long line of significant injuries impacting top players in the NFL and this one, just prior to the fantasy playoffs, is yet another brutal blow to managers rostering Lawrence. At this juncture a garden variety high-ankle sprain that doesn't carry longer-term concern would be considered good news though it's possible the star quarterback misses the remainder of the season. Trevor Lawrence is found as DLF's QB7.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Derek Carr Dec 5 11:13am ET
    Derek Carr

Dynasty | If the Saints players and fans are any indication, the offseason signing of Derek Carr has failed. Dynasty Analysis: Carr was on the wrong end of a tweet by receiver Michael Thomas and Saints faithful were loudly booing the veteran quarterback whenever he set foot on the field in week 13, all the while applauding any sight of Swiss Army knife Taysom Hill. With the playoffs a slowly fading possibility, the team may have a big decision to make in week 14. Regardless of Carr's status for the remainder of the season, he's owed $30M in 2024. He's listed as DLF's QB22.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Leonard Fournette Dec 5 11:13am ET
    Leonard Fournette

Dynasty | Leonard Fournette says he's ready and waiting for his opportunity with the Bills. Dynasty Analysis: By all reports, it appears his waiting game will continue a bit longer. The mid-season addition of Fournette made sense for all involved, but it also seemingly had another result. Starter James Cook has been running with determination and figures to continue doing so following the team's week 13 bye. With Cook, Latavius Murray and even Ty Johnson all finding productivity, Fournette's chances of being fantasy relevant in 2023 are slipping by the week. He's listed as a fading RB81.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Ezekiel Elliott Dec 5 10:13am ET
    Ezekiel Elliott

Dynasty | Rhamondre Stevenson is expected to miss "a few weeks" due to a high ankle sprain Dynasty Analysis: It's the year of the hamstring and ankle and the Stevenson is the most recent player to add his name to the list. Everything has gone wrong for the Patriots in 2023 and while Stevenson's absence will only help the team secure a better draft position, it's another blow to dynasty coaches entering the playoffs. Ezekiel Elliott will take over as the RB1 and it's fair to assume that Stevenson, DLF's RB14, could effectively miss the remainder of the fantasy season. He is a free agent in 2025.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Parker Washington Dec 5 10:13am ET
    Parker Washington

Dynasty | Rookie receiver Parker Washington produced 61 yards and a touchdown on 6-of-6 receiving in his first game of the year for the Jaguars who recorded a loss to the Bengals in week six. Dynasty Analysis: Washington shined following a groin injury that sidelined Christian Kirk early in the game. The 5'10/212 lbs. slot receiver may see more time depending on the severity of Kirk's injury and could be a sneaky late-season pick-up in dynasty formats. Unranked on DLF, Washington's snaps and further production will be tied directly to the health of the receivers above him on the depth chart.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Jake Browning Dec 5 10:13am ET
    Jake Browning

Dynasty | According to Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, Jake Browning "just lit the world on fire" with his impressive victory over the Jaguars in week 13. Dynasty Analysis: While certainly in the realm of hyperbole, it's hard to argue that Browning didn't put himself on the map with his performance, throwing for 354 yards and a touchdown on 32-of-37 passing. He also added a rushing touchdown. The 27-year-old will have four more games to keep the fire lit while he continues to audition for quarterback-needy teams across the NFL. An ERFA in 2024, it's possible Browning's performance over the remainder of the season provides the opportunity to be under-center for a team next season. He remains unranked on DLF's quarterback rankings.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Tyler Boyd Dec 5 1:20am ET
    Tyler Boyd

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd may have hurt his team more than he helped them in Week 13's surprising 34-31 overtime win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, reeling in five of his seven passes for 37 yards. With quarterback Jake Browning engineering the offense as well as one could have imagined, the Bengals somewhat questionably got cute for a failed trick play that led to Boyd flinging an interception to set up a Jaguars go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter. That was unfortunately his most noteworthy play of the night. Boyd's eight-catch, 117-yard Week 10 display is quickly becoming a distant memory, and the 29-year-old slot man will not be a recommended WR3 in Week 14 against an Indianapolis Colts that's been more vulnerable on the ground than through the air overall.

    From RotoBaller

Tee Higgins Dec 5 1:10am ET
    Tee Higgins

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring) played a complementary role in his return from a hamstring-related three-game absence during Week 13's wild 34-31 road overtime win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, hauling in all three of his targets for 36 yards. Higgins' biggest impact came when he ran a great route for a clutch grab and an 11-yard gain along the left sideline to help convert a key third down in OT, which later led to a game-winning field goal by kicker Evan McPherson. The 24-year-old star wideout watched as teammate Ja'Marr Chase went off for a 11/149/1 receiving line on Monday. Soon to be further removed from his hamstring injury, Higgins will look to establish some consistency and climb back into the WR2 ranks for a home date with the Indianapolis Colts next Sunday in Week 13.

    From RotoBaller

    Ja'Marr Chase Dec 5 1:00am ET
    Ja'Marr Chase

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase torched the Jacksonville Jaguars for 11 catches (12 targets) and 149 yards with one touchdown in Week 13's improbable 34-31 road victory. Chase was peppered with six targets for 28 yards early on, with an impressive one-handed 17-yard catch helping navigate an eventual scoring drive. The 23-year-old perennial Pro Bowler turned his inefficient stat line on its head with another highlight after beating press coverage for an exhilarating 76-yard score on Cincinnati's first possession of the second half. Chase later dropped a pass in the red zone but atoned for the miscue to help convert a fourth down on the ensuing play. With his fantasy ceiling still intact despite catching the passes of a backup quarterback, who admittedly looked as competent as one could ask for on Monday, Chase will remain a backend WR1, at worst, in Week 14 versus the Indianapolis Colts.

    From RotoBaller

Joe Mixon Dec 5 1:00am ET
    Joe Mixon

Cincinnati Bengals running Joe Mixon topped 100 scrimmage yards in Week 13's 34-31 upset win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, carrying the ball 19 times for 68 yards and two touchdowns with a season-high six catches plus 49 yards. Besides a 28-yard screen catch, Mixon curiously lost five first-quarter touches to change-of-pace back Chase Brown but took over the backfield work afterward for a huge fantasy showing. The 27-year-old former Pro Bowler made a great effort to power his way into the end zone for a six yard-score early in the second period before punching it in from two yards out on his second score right before halftime. Mixon has quietly acted as one of fantasy's safest plays at the position in 2023, and he will be back in play as a high-floor RB2 against an Indianapolis Colts defense that's given way for back-to-back 100-yard rushing days to Rachaad White and Derrick Henry.

Calvin Ridley Dec 5 12:53am ET
    Calvin Ridley

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Calvin Ridley posted four receptions for 26 yards on eight targets in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals, while rushing three times for seven yards.

    From TheHuddle

    C.J. Beathard Dec 5 12:50am ET
    C.J. Beathard

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback C.J. Beathard completed nine-of-10 passes for 63 yards in a MNF overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Beathard was forced into action when QB1 Trevor Lawrence went down with an ankle sprain in the fourth quarter and filled in admirably, nearly leading the Jaguars to an overtime win. The former 49er led a clutch two-minute drill late in the fourth quarter that resulted in a game-tying field goal which sent the game to overtime. Beathard also connected with Calvin Ridley on a 42-yard deep shot in OT that appeared to give the Jags first and goal inside the five, but the play was called back due to a holding call. It's looking likely that Lawrence will miss some time, and if that is the case Beathard will draw the start next Sunday vs. the vaunted Cleveland Browns defense.
