Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (calf, quadriceps) has been dealing with injuries the past two weeks, but it hasn't impacted his production. In fact, he's actually had two of his best games all year, rushing for 273 yards and three touchdowns on 59 carries, adding eight receptions for 80 yards. The 24-year-old was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday, which is not surprising considering the heavy workload. He does not appear to be in any danger of missing Thursday's game against the Rams, meaning he'll be locked into lineups again in what should be another great performance. Fantasy managers will want to confirm his practice report on Wednesday and game status on Thursday, but the expectation is he'll be good to.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback John Wolford (neck) was estimated as a limited participant in his team's walkthrough on Tuesday. Wolford is dealing with a sore neck and is being called day-to-day ahead of his team's Thursday night matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. If Wolford is unable to start, the Rams could turn to the newly-signed Baker Mayfield, who they picked up off of waivers on Tuesday afternoon. Wolford will not be a recommended fantasy option in Week 14 even if he does feel good enough to suit up.
The Las Vegas Raiders will head on the road to take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14's Thursday night game. The Raiders defense will be in an excellent spot in Week 14 as the Rams' quarterback will either be John Wolford or Baker Mayfield, who they just signed off of waivers on Tuesday. Either way, Las Vegas should turn in a big fantasy outing against a Rams offense that ranks 29th in the league with just 16.8 points per game and 30th with 308.7 yards per game. The Raiders can be trusted as a top-eight fantasy defense heading into Thursday night.
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Foster Moreau has been remarkably consistent over his past three games, finishing with 33, 33, and 32 receiving yards over that span. He will look for a bigger game in Week 14's Thursday night game against a Los Angeles Rams defense that is allowing the 12th-most fantasy points per game to tight ends in 2022. Moreau missed some time during Week 13 to get checked for a concussion, but he cleared the league's concussion protocol and was able to return. The veteran tight end hasn't had a breakout game in 2022 but he has enough potential to trust as a low-end TE1 heading into Week 14.
Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson made two of his three field goals in a Week 13 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, giving him 25 makes in 28 attempts in 2022. He will head on the road to take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14's Thursday night game. The Rams have been generous to opposing kickers this year, allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to the position. Carlson is a top-five fantasy kicker heading into Week 14.
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Mack Hollins drew nine targets in Week 13, the second time in three contests he saw that many targets from Derek Carr. Hollins will look to remain a big part of the game plan against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14's Thursday night game. The Rams have been generous to opposing wideouts in 2022 as they are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to the position. Hollins has been seeing enough targets of late to trust as a solid flex play in fantasy for Week 14.
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams will head on the road to take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14's Thursday night game. Adams has been extremely consistent this season, having averaged an impressive 13.4 targets per game over his past five contests. The star wideout also has seven 100-yard games and 12 touchdowns through 12 games in 2022. The Rams represent a plus matchup for Adams as they are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers thus far. Los Angeles has also been effective at shutting down enemy running games this year, which could push even more work onto Adams' plate. He settles in as a top-three fantasy wide receiver in Week 14.
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been on a hot streak of late, having thrown for multiple touchdowns in five straight games. He will look to keep it going against the Los Angeles Rams on the road in Week 14's Thursday night game. Los Angeles has been a good matchup for quarterbacks in 2022 as they are allowing the 18th-most fantasy points per game to the position while their pass defense ranks just 27th in the league in DVOA. With his team installed as six-point road favorites, Carr can be trusted as a low-end QB1 heading into Week 14.
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs has been on a tear of late, having topped 100 rushing yards in three straight games. He will look to keep it going in Week 14's Thursday night game against the Los Angeles Rams on the road. The Rams have been solid against the run in 2022, allowing the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to the position and boasting a run defense ranked fifth in the league in DVOA. Despite the tough matchup, Jacobs has been dominant on the ground for the Raiders this season and can be started confidently as a top-three fantasy RB in Week 14.
Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he's hopeful that wide receivers Rondale Moore (groin) and Greg Dortch (thumb) can return in Week 14 against the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. The Cardinals had their bye last week, so it afforded both Moore and Dortch some extra rest. Moore missed the Week 12 contest with a groin injury he suffered in Week 11 in Mexico City. Dortch also missed the Week 12 game due to a thumb injury that didn't require surgery. If both Moore and Dortch return this week against the Patriots, quarterback Kyler Murray will have his full complement of receivers to work with. Moore and Dortch will play second fiddle to DeAndre Hopkins and Marquise Brown, lowering their fantasy ceiling.
The Tennessee Titans signed cornerback John Reid to their 53-man roster on Tuesday off the Atlanta Falcons practice squad, according to a source. It's among the first moves for interim general manager Ryan Cowden after the Titans announced the firing of former GM Jon Robinson. The 26-year-old Reid was a fourth-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2020 out of Penn State. He hasn't appeared in any NFL games in 2022, and he has just 25 tackles (18 solo) and three passes defensed in 24 games (three starts) over the last two seasons with the Texans and Seattle Seahawks. Reid will serve as secondary depth for the Titans for the rest of the 2022 season. A groin strain earlier this year landed him on Injured Reserve with the Seahawks.
Baltimore Ravens WR DeSean Jackson was signed from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday, Dec. 6.
Carolina Panthers CB T.J. Carrie was signed from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday, Dec. 6.
Seattle Seahawks S Josh Jones (hamstring) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Dec. 6, and DT Jarrod Hewitt was released.
The Seattle Seahawks signed veteran running back Wayne Gallman to their practice squad on Tuesday with rookie Kenneth Walker III (ankle) dealing with an ankle injury, according to a source. Gallman hasn't seen action in an NFL game this year despite being on the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad earlier this season. Seattle also has Travis Homer, DeeJay Dallas and Tony Jones Jr. on the RB depth chart, but Homer (didn't play in Week 13) and Dallas are also banged up with injuries, so the Seahawks needed more depth at the position heading into their Week 14 clash against the Carolina Panthers. The 28-year-old Gallman could be active for the first time this weekend, depending on the health of the other RBs, but he won't be a realistic fantasy option.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jaelon Darden was waived Tuesday, Dec. 6, and OT Dylan Cook and CB Ryan Smith were released from the practice squad.
The Los Angeles Rams claimed former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield off waivers from the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday, according to league sources. The Rams now inherit the remaining $1.35 million on Mayfield's contract. He's expected to fly to Los Angeles by Tuesday night, and he could play on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders. Matthew Stafford (concussion, neck) has missed the last two games and will likely miss the rest of the year after being put on Injured Reserve. John Wolford is also dealing with an injury, leaving rookie Bryce Perkins as the only healthy QB on the roster. Mayfield will surely make starts for the Rams down the stretch, but he's highly unlikely to start in Week 14 on such a short turnaround.
Doctors concluded on Tuesday that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) doesn't need surgery for a Lisfranc injury to his left foot, and if his rehab goes smoothly, he could have a chance to return in seven to eight weeks, according to sources. Garoppolo will now be a potential playoff contributor if the Niners make a deep playoff run. The Divisional Round is seven weeks from the day Garoppolo was injured on Sunday, the Conference Championship game is eight weeks again and the Super Bowl is 10 weeks away. It was previously thought that the 31-year-old would miss the rest of the year, but there's a chance we'll see him again. In the meantime, rookie Brock Purdy will be leading San Fran's offense.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Rachaad White has become an important part of the team's offense in recent weeks. So much so that on Monday, he drew the start over Leonard Fournette and caught the winning touchdown against the Saints. He rushed for only 28 yards but had six receptions for 41 yards on eight targets. In his last three games, White has averaged 16.7 fantasy points, vaulting himself into the fantasy landscape. Be wary, though, fantasy managers, as he faces the toughest rush defense in the NFL in Week 14 in the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners are allowing only 56.9 yards per game to running backs this season. Consider White a strong flex option, but proceed with caution.
San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) could return for the players, according to a source Tuesday, Dec. 6. Further tests revealed he did not suffer a Lisfranc injury and does not need surgery.
Fantasy Spin: This is positive news for Garoppolo, but he won't have an impact for fantasy. He can be dropped in redraft leagues.
