According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Free-agent safety Mike Edwards plans to sign with the Chiefs on a one-year, $3 million deal. The 26-year-old was selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by Tampa Bay, where he played the last four seasons. During that time, he amassed 184 total tackles, seven interceptions, and two sacks (58 games). Kansas City lost Juan Thornhill to the Browns via free agency, so the team needed a replacement. While Edwards isn't as productive as Thornhill, he's an upgrade over the other options on the roster.
Former New York Giants safety Julian Love said that he has agreed to terms on a two-year, $12 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, according to sources. It's been a big day on the defensive side of the ball for Seattle, as they also landed former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush. Love was fantasy relevant in IDP leagues in 2022 with the G-Men, recording a career-high 124 tackles (79 solo), one sack, six tackles for loss, two interceptions, five passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 16 regular season starts in his fourth year in the NFL. The 24-year-old will continue to play regularly in Seattle and could once again be useful for fantasy managers in IDP leagues.
Dynasty | Cooper Rush re-signed with the Cowboys on a 2-year contract Dynasty Analysis: Rush filled in for an injured Dak Prescott and went 4-1 as a starter, earning his place as one of the top backups in the league. Unranked on DLF's quarterback rankings, it's not out of the question Rush starts games again over the next two years though he remains a back-up only option in superflex leagues at this time.
Dynasty | Mike Gesicki has signed a one-year contract with the Patriots Dynasty Analysis: Gesicki will fill the void left by Jonnu Smith who recently signed with Atlanta. In his age-28 season, the veteran will slide-in behind starter Hunter Henry though both will factor in the tight end friendly system. Gesicki had a statistically-down 2022 campaign in the wake of the team's signing of Tyreek Hill, another speed complement across from Jaylen Waddle. Found as DLF's TE17, it's hard to be overly excited about the shared role for the aging player.
Free-agent RB Ronald Jones (Chiefs), free-agent LB Travin Howard (Rams) and free-agent OT Chuma Edoga (Falcons) will visit with the Dallas Cowboys Monday, March 20.

Dynasty | The Carolina Panthers have signed wide receiver Adam Thielen to a three-year deal. Dynasty Analysis: After losing DJ Moore in the trade to land them the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Panthers were hurting for wide receiver help. In the end, they settled on Thielen, who should provide a veteran presence and solid red zone threat. Over the past three years, Thielen hasn't put up the number of catches or yards he did in his prime, but his 30 receiving touchdowns are still pretty impressive. We'll see what the Panthers do moving forward (they are rumored to have interest in DJ Chark), but at this point Thielen's ranking of WR63 should tick up, despite his age.
Free-agent WR Mack Hollins (Raiders) agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, March 19. He will receive a $910,000 signing bonus.

Free-agent safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal with the Lions. Philly has lost some big names already this offseason, as T.J. Edwards, Marcus Epps, Isaac Seumalo, Miles Sanders, and Javon Hargrave are now on new teams. With Detroit making some significant moves of late, Gardner-Johnson, who had 67 total tackles, eight passes defensed, six picks, and a sack last season, will help bolster a Lions defense that could be more productive in 2023-24.

According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Broncos remain uninterested in dealing Courtland Sutton or Jerry Jeudy. We've heard this before. However, there have been several reports to the contrary in the last few months. Sutton's best season was in 2019, where he amassed 72 catches for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns while earning a trip to the Pro Bowl. He tore his ACL the following season and hasn't been the same since. Jeudy, who has been subject to trade rumors in the past, is entering the final year of his current agreement, although Denver could pick up his fifth-year option. The 23-year-old is coming off his most productive season, finishing the 2022-23 campaign with 67 receptions for 972 yards and six trips to the end zone. Nevertheless, there will probably be continuous updates on these two, so fantasy managers won't know for certain where they'll end up. Yet, if they stay in Denver, the addition of head coach Sean Payton will surely increase their fantasy stock.

According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, free-agent linebacker Travin Howard will visit with the Cowboys on Monday. The 26-year-old has spent his entire career with the Rams, totaling 44 tackles (35 solo). However, he's started only two of his 29 career games while appearing in just one game last season. With that said, Dallas is looking to beef up the depth chart while keeping a close eye on the cap. But even if Howard inks a deal with the Cowboys, it won't mean much from a fantasy standpoint.

According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys will host free-agent running back Ronald Jones on Monday. The organization recently parted ways with Ezekiel Elliott, and Tony Pollard (fibula) suffered a leg injury during the NFC Divisional Round. As a result, the team needs to explore its options while being mindful of its cap situation. Jones spent last season in Kansas City, where he saw the field sparingly. He finished with just one touchdown in 2022-23 after amassing 20 in four years with the Buccaneers. If the 25-year-old ends up in Dallas, he's someone to watch, especially since he could see additional work early in the season if Pollard isn't healthy enough to play.

Free-agent wide receiver Adam Thielen agreed to a three-year, $25 million deal with the Panthers on Sunday. The Panthers recently sent D.J. Moore to Chicago, so there was a glaring hole at the position. The two-time Pro Bowl wideout has accumulated 534 catches for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns during his career. Arguably, Thielen's best seasons have occurred in the last three years, so there could be plenty of gas left in the tank. He has also stayed relatively healthy since entering the league in 2014, which has been another added perk for fantasy managers. However, Carolina is in rebuilding mode, and instability at the quarterback spot significantly lowers his ceiling heading into the 2023-24 campaign. Still, Thielen is certainly worth considering during fantasy drafts, even if his attractiveness on the fantasy end isn't as high as it once was.

Free-agent RB Ezekiel Elliott (Cowboys) may draw interest from the Buffalo Bills in free agency, per sources on Friday, March 17.
Fantasy Spin: The source notes that the Bills are looking for a "big back, and Zeke checks that box." While it's hard to expect a ton from Elliott after what we've seen the past few years, the Bills would be a great situation for the 27-year-old, who would almost certainly have a good amount of goal-line opportunities on an elite offense. We'll tentatively call Elliott a flex option going into next year, but how high he lands on that spectrum will depend on where he signs.

Free-agent WR Adam Thielen (Vikings) is signing with the Carolina Panthers on a three-year deal, per sources on Sunday, March 19. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Fantasy Spin: The Panthers were in desperate need of wide receiver help, and especially with the team set to draft a new franchise quarterback in 2023. While Thielen isn't the same receiver he once was, he's a great option to have for a young signal-caller to throw to and he immediately becomes Carolina's best receiver in what is a depleted receiving corps. that no longer includes D.J. Moore. However, expect the Panthers to add more help and for Thielen to serve as the team's No. 2 option at best. For fantasy purposes, Thielen's production the past two years makes him a mid-tier flex option going into 2023, but he has the potential to return more value than that if he ends up emerging as the team's top target.

Free-agent WRs Adam Thielen (Vikings) and D.J. Chark (Lions) are targets of the Carolina Panthers in free agency and the team is attempting to sign both, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Sunday, March 19.

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks DL Jarran Reed signed a two-year, $9 million contract that includes $4.19 million guaranteed, a $3 million signing bonus and base salaries of $1.19 million in 2023 (guaranteed) and $3.96 million in 2024. The deal also includes $20,000 per game active roster bonuses in 2023, $30,000 per game active roster bonuses in 2024, and a $900,000 annual playtime and sacks incentive.

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons CB Cornell Armstrong signed a one-year, $1.232 million deal that includes a $152,500 signing bonus and base salary of $1.08 million.

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars DL Adam Gotsis signed a two-year, $2.88 million deal that includes $1.25 million guaranteed, a $250,000 signing bonus and base salaries of $1.165 million in 2023 ($1 million guaranteed) and $1.415 million in 2024.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reached an agreement with free-agent defensive tackle Greg Gaines. The two sides have agreed on a one-year contract for the upcoming 2023 season. This is a sneaky move by the Bucs to bulk up their defensive line without making a huge commitment. Gaines has started each of the last two seasons as a member of the Los Angeles Rams. During that span, Gaines has recorded 44 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks in 33 games (25 starts) with the Rams. The expectation is that Gaines is going to immediately slide into a starting defensive tackle spot in Tampa Bay.
