As we move into the 2nd half of the schedule, it is getting closer to time to start analyzing the potential scenarios for which teams make the playoffs. After 8 weeks, Winning Colors sports a league best record of 7-1 with FloJoRo’s and ExStorminator just behind at 6-2. A Lambeau Leap has the only other winning record at 5-3. With 3 teams sitting at 4-4 and 3 more at 3-5, there are still wildcard playoff spots within reach for any of those teams. In the division races, WC sits atop Beer Division but only with a 1-game lead as FJR lurks just behind in 2nd place. ExSt has a comfortable 3-game cushion over all 3 of his division rivals in the Bourbon Division. And LL leads Tequila Division but only by 1-game over 2 of his division rivals. But with 6 weeks left, there is still time for plenty of movement in the standings and in the wildcard playoff race.
Congratulations to our week 8 winners (listed in order of points scored: FloJoRo’s, Ace Packer Backer, Jimmy’s Boys, Winning Colors, ExStorminator and The Bungals.
FloJoRo’s gets the high scorer award for the week with 133 points for his 2nd high scorer award of the season. The Bungals has the lowest point total of any winning team at the 5th lowest overall but still enough to get him his 1st win of the season. A Lambeau Leap has the ultimate unlucky loser as he has the 2nd highest points for the week but unfortunately for him was matched up against the highest scoring team for the week.
Winning Colors and Timba’s Tigers both hit 100% efficiency mark for the week, while Risky is at the bottom with his 50.0% mark, which was the lowest for anyone so far this season. Year to date, TT remains at the top at 92.3% and is joined by Winning Colors with 90.7% as the only other team above 90%. Wrinkled & Green remains at the bottom year-to-date at 77.3% and is the only team below the 80% mark.
This competed the 5th week of interdivisional play and the Beer Division posts a perfect 4-0 mark to break the 3-way tie going into this week and push their cumulative record to 12-8. Tequila and Bourbon both post 1-3 records and are each 9-11 for the year.
No scoring records this past week, although The Bungals made a pretty good run at the all time low for a D/ST with team giving him –10. The all time record in –13 but still a good run at that record. And A Lambeau Leap had an impressive performance by his TE with 26 points getting within shouting distance of the all time mark of 32 for that position. High scorer by position this past week (and obviously year to date) and all time marks are as follows:
In the NFL Picks Timba’s Tigers had the best record for the week at 11-2 with 4 teams just behind that at 10-3. A Lambeau Leap still leads overall but had his lead cut in half as TT now is only 2 games back in 2nd place. Then 1 more game back to Wrinkled & Green in 3rd place and another game back to Colts in 4th place..
