#1 VS. #2 WEEK 9 THRILLER!!!!

MILWAUKIE, OR

The #1 team 'Zona Gunslingers clashed with the #2 team Milwaukie Mercenaries in week 9, and it was an instant classic!  Trailing most of the weekend, the Mercenaries took the lead late into Sunday night.  The swhowdown wold continue with a big game on Monday night , and we would see who would come out on top after the smoke had settled.  Turned out to be the Gunslingers barely getting by with a less than one point victory.  TE Trey McBride reeled in a much needed touchdown, and although the Mercs had a good game from WR George Pickens, it wasn't enough to keep the Gunslingers at bay.  After the score posted, enraged fans took to the streets and let out their frustrations on anything and everything.

"It was definitely a heartbreaking loss we had here in our house.  But, it's not over.  We still have  time to get this squad where it needs to be.  Don't worry Merc-A-Maniacs, help is on the way.  Trust me . . ." said GM JAcob Medaugh after the game.  On the other side of the field was an relieved, yet excited GM Lopez.  "What a game!!!  I tip my hat to the Mercs for putting up a great fight until the very end.  Proud of this team, and the fight it had, and overcoming the odds to win.  Whew!"

The standing reflect heading into week 10 that the Gunslingers maintain their #1 seed status, adn the Mercs still hold possession of the #2 seed for the coveted bye weeks.  But, the Rebels lurk only one game back, as does the Monsoons and the Cryptobandits.  The defending Champs CO-OP are hosting the Gunslingers.  They stand at 5-4 and had to endure some weeks with their MVP Jackson on the shelf but look to get right back into the thick of things heading into the double digit weeks ahead.

Only five more weeks of regular season!!!  Good luck!!!
