FFF Week #3 has a little bit of everything

Week #3 in FFF saw a variety of outcomes: Blowouts, nail biters, and comebacks. We also continue to see more and more injuries piling up, and may need to consider allowing more players to be put on each team's I/R.  We have two undefeated teams remaining, and one winless one.

WEEK #3 RESULTS:

DUTCHMEN COMEBACK TO BEAT FIESTY XTREME:  It was quite the shootout and not the kind of game you'd expect from teams at the opposite end of the standings, but in the end, Dutchmen outgunned Xtreme on Monday Night to remain alone atop the 'B' Division. Dmen had their best game of the season at the right time, as every starter but one was in double digits.  RB Gibbs and K McLaughlin led Dutchmen. Xtreme had their best game of the season and the second-best total of the week, but they played the team with the highest total.

GENERALS SMASH TROYBOYS:  Generals had a balanced scoring attack led by their WR corps (top two in FFF) as they gained their first victory of the season. TBoys had their worst game of the season as many of their bench players outperformed their starters.  Gmen missed TE Andrews huge game on their bench.

SCHEME TEAM TAKES DOWN ND:  Scheme Team handed ND its first loss of the season in resounding fashion.  Baker led a balanced Schemer attack in their highest point total of the season. ND had their worst game of the season as most of their starters laid an egg this week.

HAMMERHEADS PULL OFF A MIRACLE IN NIPPING BARON'S CORNER:  After a woeful week in which they lost numerous starters to injury, the Hammerheads came back from a huge deficit on Monday Night to edge Baron's Corner at the very end of the game. Both teams had poor performances with only their star QB's providing any light.  Baron suffers his first loss in agonizing fashion.

TOASTER OVEN ROASTS HONEYMOONERS:  Toaster Oven had their best game and first win of the season in easily defeating Honeymooners here.  Toaster missed some big performers on his bench, but did manage a strong game from WR Collins.  Mooners had their worst game of the season by far, with an injury to WR Lamb and bad games from many starters.

RAIDERS8 CRAWL PAST WHITE CITY DEVILS:  It wasn't pretty, but Raiders8 did enough to win and gain their first victory of the season in topping White City Devils.  The Vikings Defense gave Raiders a massive 32-point game, which really was the difference here.  White City had great games from their bench and chose to start QB Lawrence (10) over Caleb Williams (40.1), costing them the game.

WEEK #4 MATCHUPS:

DUTCHMEN VS. TROYSBOYS:  A rematch of last year's FFF Super Bowl, but this is not the matchup that it was last season. Undefeated Dmen are rolling through the league in defense of their title, while Tboys are floundering, not having scored 100 points in a game yet and only beating the winless Xmen.  Look for more of the same this week.

GENERALS VS. XTREME:  Despite both teams being at the bottom of the 'B' Division, they come off of strong performances last week that should make this contest interesting.  Best chance for Xtreme to get a victory with their brutal schedule.

SCHEME TEAM VS. HAMMERHEADS: A tough loss to undefeated Dutchmen is the only blemish on Scheme Team's record, and they face the crippled Hammerheads at the right time, as the Heads have now lost four starters to injury.  Hammerheads in a rough spot with many players out and others with tough matchups. Scheme Team needing to keep pace with Dmen in "B" Division race.

ND VS. HONEYMOONERS:  Both squads coming off their worst games of the season and looking to rebound here. Injuries affecting both teams, and each needing a win to stay in title chase.

BARON'S CORNER VS. WHITE CITY DEVILS:  Both teams coming off heart breaking losses brought about mostly by bad luck.  Chance to get right here, especially for Baron, who with a win get catch right up to vulnerable Heads.  BUF-NO game should provide a feast for both here.

TOASTER OVEN VS. RAIDERS8:  Two struggling teams that seemed to have righted the ship with their first wins last week.  A chance to keep the momentum going here for one of them.  Some appealing player matchups makes for potentially an exciting contest here.
