FFF Week #6 Brings some lower scores

After a points bonanza in FFF Week #5, Week #6 saw a decline in scoring (with a few exceptions) as injuries, Byes, and bad performances hurt many teams. There were a bunch of close games this week that brought some separation in the standings, but parity seems to rule the day with five teams having 3-3 records.  Amazingly, after this week half of the FFF regular season will be completed.

WEEK #6 RESULTS:

HAMMERHEADS EDGE DUTCHMEN:  This long-awaited battle was surprisingly won by an injury riddled Hammerhead squad.  Both teams got scoring from unexpected quarters in this shootout.  Hammer had huge games from RB's Jacobs (29.5) and newly acquired Dowdle (31.9).  Dutchmen were led by Pickens (27.3) and also had a nice day from Steelers defense.

BARON'S CORNER NIPS GENERALS:  Once again Josh Allen saved Baron, as his Monday Night performance was just enough to pass Generals.  Neither team had a good day as only one squad in FFF had a worse outing than these two.  Gmen were led by TE McBride, as injury to Puka cost them the game.

SCHEME TEAM DEMOLISH XTREME:  This game came as advertised, as the best team in the league obliterated one of the worst with Scheme Team winning by 46.6 points.  Schemer's had nice games up and down his lineup, but did miss Skattebo's monster game (30 pts) on his bench.  As bad as this game was for Xtreme, it wasn't even his worst of the season.  Dicker the kicker (17) was a lone bright spot for Xmen.

ND BLASTS TROYSBOYS:  ND had the best game in FFF so far this season (141.1) as they whipped TroysBoys by 48.2 points.  Mahomes posted a 40 pt day for ND along with great games from Achane and Smith-Njigba.  Troy had a solid game from Dak and Drake, but Saquon's struggles continue to hurt the Boys as they didn't have enough firepower to keep up.

HONEYMOONERS UNPLUG TOASTER OVEN:  Honeymooners had their best game of the season as they trounced Toaster Oven here.  Huge Bijan game (32.8) and also big one from Swift led the Mooners.  Toaster had great game from Chase, but a starter with a zero (Kincaid) and poor performances from some others did them in.  Third loss in a row for Oven.

RAIDERS8 SQUEAK BY WHITE CITY DEVILS:  In the closest game of the weekend, Raiders beat Devils by 2.7 pts on Monday Night.  Raiders had multiple contributors here, but did miss Goedert's big game (21.5) on their bench.  Injury to Egbuka cost Devils here, though most of their lineup (except their kicker) underperformed.

WEEK #7 RESULTS:

DUTCHMEN VS. TROYSBOYS:  These teams played for the FFF Super Bowl last season and now find themselves floundering in the middle of the pack in the 'B' Division standings.  Dutchmen mired in three game losing streak that began with Week #4 loss to these TroysBoys.  Both teams have been scoring well of late.

GENERALS VS. XTREME:  Week #4 saw Gmen barely edge Xmen (0.4 difference).  Generals haven't won since, and Xtreme of course are winless on the season. Both teams coming off of poor games last week, so this could be really ugly.  Someone has to win.

SCHEME TEAM VS. ND:  Game of the week. #1 (Scheme) vs. #3 (ND) in FFF Power Rankings, and #1 (ND) and #2 (Scheme) in total points. Teams are battling it out for supremacy in 'B' Division. Schemer's won Week #3 matchup between the two, so a win here gives them the tiebreaker if it's needed.  Both teams on fire, with Schemers on four game win streak and ND averaging 131 points a game the last two weeks. Teams feature two of the top four QB's and two of the top five RB's in FFF.  The sparks will fly in this one.

HAMMERHEADS VS. TOASTER OVEN:  Top team in 'A' Division against the last place team.  Trap game for Hammerheads after huge Week #6 victory.  Heads won Week #1 matchup.  Both teams thinned a little by Bye, and Heads by more injuries. Hammer trying to stay ahead of Baron in 'A' Division.

BARON'S CORNER VS. WHITE CITY DEVILS:  Key 'A' Division game as both squads battling to keep pace with first place Hammerheads.  Devils won Week #4 matchup.  Baron will be without star Josh Allen due to Bye, but White City loses #7 RB Cook too. Both teams thinned by injuries as well.

RAIDERS8 VS. HONEYMOONERS:  Another significant 'A' Division game as both teams have identical records as they chase 'A' Division leader.  Honeymooners coming off their best game of season while rebounding Raiders have won 3 of last 4.
