WEEK #7 IN FFF BRINGS BALANCE BACK TO STANDINGS

It was a topsy turvy week in FFF as we had high scores, low scores, shootouts, and of course, more injuries to stars.  In the 'A' Division the Baron's Corner has returned to co-leadership with the Hammerheads, with the Honeymooners right on their heels.  In the 'B' Division ND evened things up with Scheme Team atop the standings, with the Dutchmen right back in the mix too.

WEEK #7 RESULTS:

DUTCHMEN BLAST TROYSBOYS:  In the highest scoring game of the FFF season so far, Dutchmen rang up 153.5 points in demolishing TroysBoys, who actually had the third highest total of the week.  Dutch had two players above 35 points (Herbert and Gibbs) and amazingly five starters who had their best game of the season.  Even the Dmen bench was on fire with all but one active player in double digits.  TroysBoys had great games from Dak, AJ Brown and Cleveland Defense, but Saquon let them down here.  Dutchmen ended their three-game losing streak in a big way.

XTREME OUTGUN GENERALS:  Xtreme obtained their first win of the season with a high scoring affair with Generals.  Xmen had two players above 30 points (Stafford and Taylor). Gmen had big games from QB Rodgers and TE McBride, but their RB trio failed them miserably here.

ND TOPS SCHEME TEAM:  In a clash of the early season titans, ND evened the season series with Scheme Team and tied them atop the 'B' Division with this huge victory.  Mahomes and Smith-Njigba led the way once again for ND, who missed monster day from Nix on their bench (46.7). Schemers ended their four-game win streak as Baker and RB Williams had their worst games of the season. #1 pick McCaffrey had his best game of a great season for Scheme, but it wasn't enough to stop hot ND.

TOASTER OVEN EDGES HAMMERHEADS:  It was an ugly game that came down to Monday Night, and Toaster Oven held on in the wee hours of the morning to upset Hammerheads.  Both teams had two starters with zero points. Toaster's Chase had his best game of the season (30.1) to lead them, while Hammer once again loses a star to injury and loses solo lead in 'A' Division in this clunker.  This was Heads worst game of the season.

BARON'S CORNER BEAT WHITE CITY DEVILS:  In another low scoring affair, Baron managed enough points to win and thus tie Hammerheads in standings.  The Baron's WR's and TE carried them on a day they got 3.4 points from their QB with Josh Allen on a Bye.  White City had their worst game of the season as they also had poor QB and RB play, missing out on Jackson Dart's huge day on their bench.

HONEYMOONERS CRUSH RAIDERS8:  Honeymooners more than doubled Raiders score in this one and kept their 'A' Division title chase going.  Mooners had a nice balanced attack with five starters over 18 points.  Raiders had the lowest score in FFF this season with only two starters in double digits.

WEEK #8 MATCHUPS:

DUTCHMEN VS. XTREME:  #1 team vs. #11 team in FFF Power Rankings, but a lot closer in Points Standings.  Dutchmen won their Week #3 matchup, but it was a real shootout.  Both teams weakened by Bye Week, so it will be a test of their depth.  Dmen need a win to keep pace with 'B' Division leaders. Xmen will need a QB this week, and have really only had two bad games this season.

GENERALS VS. SCHEME TEAM:  Generals have had three painful losses in a row, and now face the team that started that losing streak in a rematch.  With nearly half their team (and most of their stars) on a Bye, Gmen are in a tough spot here.  Schemers also missing many players due to Bye as they continue to fight ND in standings.

ND VS. TOASTER OVEN:  ND also loses some key players to Bye Week as they need to win to maintain status sharing 'B' Division lead.  Toaster has some good matchups and hope to continue to play the role of spoiler here with back-to-back games against the respective Division leaders.

TROYSBOYS VS. HONEYMOONERS:  Both teams missing a few key players this week and will have to adapt. With a lot of tough player matchups for both teams, Mooners will look to Bijan and Swift for big games against weak opponents. Mooners have won three of last four, getting higher point totals each week.  TroysBoys have faced the highest scoring FFF team each of the last two weeks.

HAMMERHEADS VS. WHITE CITY DEVILS:  Both teams coming off of dreadful losses that were their worst performances of season.  Bye Week hurts both teams a little. Heads need a win to stay in 'A' Division contention, but are plagued with injuries.

BARON'S CORNER VS. RAIDERS8:  Baron has won three in a row despite some subpar outings, and are licking their lips as they face the lowest scoring team in the league.  Raiders have only topped 100 points once this season.  Bye Week hurts both teams a bit here. Baron hoping to leapfrog ahead of Hammerheads in standings.
