FFF Week #9 brings a lot of lopsided contests

Week #9 in FFF was quite the opposite of the previous week, where most of our games this week weren't very close.  With a couple of exceptions, our Division leaders continued to win to stay ahead of their competitors as we make the turn towards the back end of the schedule now.  Interestingly, five of the six 'A' Division teams are at the bottom half of the Points Standings.

WEEK #9 RESULTS:

DUTCHMEN UNPLUG TOASTER OVEN:  The Dutchmen surged back to the top of the 'B' Division with a solid victory over Toaster Oven.  Dmen's QB Herbert lead a fairly balanced scoring attack that overcame a poor day by star RB Gibbs, with some good efforts from new additions as well.  Toaster had average days from his big names as well as a starter with a zero to doom their cause.  Davante Adams had big game on Dmen bench.

TROYSBOYS OUTSLUG GENERALS:  TBoys' WR's Drake London and Marvin Harrison Jr. had their best games of the season to lead an otherwise average day from Troy's squad in their win over Gmen.  TroysBoys started a player (Barkley) on his Bye Week.  Generals were hurt by poor RB performances, but had nice games from their receivers.

SCHEME TEAM BLASTS BARON'S CORNER:  In a battle of two of the top teams in each division, Scheme Team prevailed easily over Baron's Corner with their best game of the season.  Schemer's had huge games from McCaffrey and Higgins as well as some solid efforts from some new additions as they sit atop 'B' Division with Dutchmen now.  Baron has played the highest scoring team of the FFF week for two weeks in a row now.  Baron's Allen had another good game but Kamara's near goose egg did them in here, as did injury to TE Kraft.

RAIDERS8 STOMPS XTREME:  Another week, another opponent over 100 points for Xtreme as their losses continue to mount. Raiders' were led by return of Bowers and his monster game (37.3). Xmen had nice game from QB Stafford, but most of their other starters fell flat, including one with a zero.  Raiders have fought their way back into 'A' Division title chase.

WHITE CITY DEVILS DEMOLISH ND:  White City more than doubled ND's score in this blowout win.  Devils' Dart and new RB Monangai led their attack, and they didn't even need QB Williams best game of the season on their bench.  ND posted the lowest score in FFF this season, with just two starters in double digits, and FFF #1 WR Smith-Njigba mysteriously on their bench. The loss knocks ND out of co-lead in 'B' Division.

HAMMERHEADS HOLD OFF HONEYMOONERS:  With some more Monday Night magic, Hammerheads fended off Honeymooners' late charge thanks to another dreadful Dallas performance.  The return of Lamar bolstered an otherwise weak Hammer effort here, as they missed some big games from bench performers.  Honey was let down by many of their big names in this key 'A' Division contest.

WEEK #10 MATCHUPS:

DUTCHMEN VS. HONEYMOONERS:  Big game for both teams as Dutchmen fight to stay atop 'B' Division and Honeymooners are scrambling to keep pace in 'A' Division title race.  Dmen have topped 106 points five weeks in a row and are on a three-game win streak that has turned their season around.  Mooners are struggling for points of late. Both teams are hard hit by the Bye, but more so the Honeymooners.

GENERALS VS. ND:  Generals have lost 4 of last 5, and ND has lost two in a row including the worst game of the FFF season, so both squads sorely need a victory here.  ND loses star QB Mahomes to Bye week.  Both teams need to reshuffle their lineups to create more scoring.  Must win for ND to keep up in 'B' Division.

SCHEME TEAM VS. RAIDERS8:  Two of the hottest teams in FFF right now, both battling for their respective division titles.  Both teams affected a little by the Bye Week.  QB choices could be the difference here.  Both teams are in top four of FFF Power Rankings.

XTREME VS. HAMMERHEADS: The team with the worst FFF record against the team with the best. Hard luck Xtreme have scored more points than Hammer though.  Both squads have suffered some close losses.  Heads hoping to continue streak of Xmen opponents topping 100 points. Xmen have some nice player matchups this week.

TROYSBOYS VS. WHITE CITY DEVILS:  Both teams coming off of big wins and hope to continue the momentum here.  TBoys need a win to stay in 'B' Division title chase.

BARON'S CORNER VS. TOASTER OVEN:  Both teams coming off of losses to powerful opponents and look to turn things around here.  Must win for Baron as they battle for 'A' Division title.  Bye Week hurts a bit, particularly with Toaster losing Ja'Marr.
