FFF Week #2 Brings better competition

Most of the games in FFF Week #2 were closer than our first week of blowouts, with one a real nail biter.  We have a perfect split of four undefeated teams, four winless teams, and four middle of the pack teams. Injuries have already begun to take a toll on many teams though.

WEEK #2 RESULTS:

DUTCHMEN HOLD OFF SCHEME TEAM:  Schemer's rallied on Monday Night behind Baker but came up short in this moderate scoring 'B' Division battle.  Dutch had solid games from many of their stars but were hurt by Derrick Henry's poor outing.  Schemers had a couple starters with lousy numbers that did them in here.

ND OUTGUNS GENERALS: ND is off to a fast start, averaging 121 points per game.  Nabers and Mahomes led the charge, but ND got good performances from most of their starters here.  Bad luck Gmen had the second highest point total in FFF this week, but played the team with the most.  Huge game by Gen's keeper Amon-Ra (34.7) led the way for them.

TROYSBOYS NIP XTREME:  In the closest game of the season so far, Tboys survived on Monday Night in a 0.9 point victory over Xmen.  Xtreme needed just 1 more point from their kicker to win. X was devastated by injury to QB Burrow.  Troy had a big game from Dak and won despite poor WR play.

HAMMERHEADS SMASH RAIDERS8:  Raiders had the lowest output in FFF so far this season as the Hammerheads easily defeated them.  Lamar carried Heads, who had a lot of poor performances from starters.  Raiders had only one starter in double digits.

BARON'S CORNER OUTDUELS HONEYMOONERS:  In an 'A' Division battle, Baron flexed his muscles to hold off tough Honeymooners.  Like ND, Baron is also averaging 121 points per game. Baron survived a rare poor game from QB Allen, as they were led by their TE and kicker. Mooners had decent games from most of their starters, but were let down by TE and DEF, who gave them very little.  Honey missed QB Goff's monster day on their bench.

WHITE CITY DEVILS BURN TOASTER OVEN:  Devils had a pretty balanced scoring attack, led by RB Cook and the Chargers defense.  Oven had a huge game from WR Chase, but poor QB and RB play doomed them here.

WEEK #3 MATCHUPS:

DUTCHMEN VS. XTREME:  Top of 'B' Division versus bottom.  Xtreme has some favorable player matchups this week, so they could give Dutch a battle. Xmen will need to replace Burrow somehow, and maybe even backup QB Fields (concussion). Dutch hoping Schemers knock off co-leader ND.

TROYSBOYS VS. GENERALS:  Gmen have scored more points than Troy so far, but are still looking for their first victory.  With some promising player matchups on both sides, this could be a good contest.

SCHEME TEAM VS. ND:  Key 'B' Division battle, with hot ND hoping to keep cruising along.  Schemer's need to rebound from poor Week #2.

HAMMERHEADS VS. BARON'S CORNER:  Game of the week as the undefeated 'A' Division leaders square off here.  Teams split their season series last year, but Heads topped Baron for Third Place in FFF Playoffs. Heads will need greater fire power to keep up with high scoring Baron, who has some attractive player matchups this week.

TOASTER OVEN VS. HONEYMOONERS:  A 'get right' game for Mooners against winless Toaster. With the two teams ahead of them in 'A' Division facing off, Honeymooners have a chance to catch up here.  With some great player matchups Honey hopes to make a statement this week.

RAIDERS8 VS. WHITE CITY DEVILS:  Devils are coming off a solid game and hope to keep things going here. Raiders are lowest scoring team in league and need to right the ship in this one, as their young lineup hasn't borne fruit yet.
