So I want to apologize for the late article in advance. A few months ago I bought an APS backup surge protector And it's mainly used for computers and monitors in the event of a power outage but you can connect it to any electronic device and it will give it additional power in the event of a power outage. At my apartment complex I get these annoying power glitches that are almost unnoticed but my computer will lose any data that I have not saved. I kept procrastinating on connecting it. I I'll do it next week I said. That was three months ago. Last weekend I was typing a league article for the first five weeks. I was probably maybe one paragraph from finishing and take a guess what happened? Yep one of those silly power glitches. Two hours of progress gone. Needless to say, I was slightly upset. The leasing office even called me. Apparently one of my neighbors did not like my vulgar screaming session of frustration. I explained what happened and she felt my pain. She even recommended the same backup protector that I already have. And I opted not to tell her that I have one and just procrastinated like a dumbass. Moral of the story,,,,don't procrastinate like a dumbass.

Man, what a crazy six weeks it's been. No matter how good you thought you drafted this year for most teams it's irrelevant with the amount of injuries so far this year.  I know I sound like a broken record when I talk about injuries but it's been exceptionally bad this year. I almost felt compelled to offer a contingency prize to the team with the most out designations. I joke, but seriously, I believe there have been over 200 designations to date. And that's just players that we actually would start. That's not even counting the O line or special teams. Some teams have fared better than others. Some have started off rough and righted the ship and some are just trying to stay above water.

I'm not sure how everyone drafts but I always like to keep an open mind on who I draft. But there are certain players that I'm really high on as I think they're going to overachieve. I was definitely on the Joe Burrow and Cincinnati train in a few leagues but his injury has killed Cincinnati's offensive players. In Jason's league for example I have tee Higgins and Chase Brown. The first five weeks have been brutal.  if you trade them, you'll get peanuts and it's hard not to start them. There's not much on my bench either due to so many injuries so you see my dilemma. As I type this, the Thursday game has already played out and Higgins and Brown combine for over 200 yards so better days may be ahead. I usually don't trade much unless absolutely necessary so good league management is crucial for me and I think so far it's been a mixed bag. Some leagues, I may not recover, but I think I've done well, in this league at least.

It's not all doom and gloom, sometimes injuries create opportunities for other players. And some teams have actually done pretty well keeping the injury bug away. How has everybody fared the first six weeks into the season? Well, let's find out.

K-Express - 31vp 10-2 Record 1216.28 points

Kevin is one of 2 teams that is averaging 200 points a game. His success has been anchored by his running backs which you can make an argument that he has one of the best if not the best running back squads in the league. He's still dealing with a fair amount of injuries, but they have been kind to his running backs, and seem to be confined to his receivers and TEs for the most part. Plus with the Malik neighbors injury Wan-dale Robinson is now the Giants number one receiver. Theo Johnson is now a viable tight end with the change in quarterback to Jaxson dart. Dallas Goedert, and to a lesser extent, Travis Etienne have really over achieved so far this year. But that's not to say that Kevin has been coasting this year. Far from it. He has had over 40 transactions  so far this year so he's definitely putting in work on that 10-2 record. It only takes a couple of injuries to derail a good season but so far, Kevin remains a model of consistency.

Season Grade A+

Mario Luigis - 22vp 7-5 Record 1172.26 points.

If I typed this article a few weeks ago, it would be a much different story. I started 1-5 which was by far the worst start in this league ever for me. Since then, I have been a perfect 6-0 which puts me back in contention with a respectable 7-5 record. So what happened? Honestly injuries weren't that big of a problem for me. Sure losing kittle sucked, but it's mostly been a combination of real slow starts and just bad defensive scoring.  In the last few weeks, it seems to have finally come together. Waller has been a nice surprise since he's been starting, tee Higgins finally had a good game and Pickens has been a godsend for me since the lamb injury. Lamb will make his return this week, so hopefully it doesn't hurt Pickens overall production too much. It's tough to grade a team that has been as Jekyll and Hyde as mine has been but hopefully future weeks will be more on the Dr. Jekyll side.

Season Grade B+

Romosexuals - 23vp 7-5 record 1201.46 points

The only other team that is averaging 200 points, Honestly, Jason would be ranked much higher if not for week six. That's really been his only blemish, which was mostly a bad combination of defense and kicker scores. Take away week six and his average points per game are higher than Kevins. This is probably the best start he's had in the league. Javonte Williams has been a real nice surprise so far. Harvey and Henderson haven't really done much, but I think they will do more in the second half due to their upside. Josh Allen is doing Josh Allen things and it looks like Jamar Chase is finally putting together some great scores with Joe Flacco under center. His TEs are probably his weakest position  and definitely contributed to his low scoring week six. Watch out for Jason in the second half. his running backs carry a lot of upside, and he's just one TE trade away from putting his team into the elite category.

Season Grade B++

Kaep Killaz - 17vp 6-6 record 1079.32 points

Goose has yet to score over 200 points this season but he came close last week with 199 and he's averaging a respectable 180 points a game. JK Dobbins has been a nice surprise but definitely a thorn in RJ. Harvey's back much to the disdain of Jason. Caleb Williams has really put things together for Chicago this year averaging over 20 points a game. After a slow start, McConkey has put together a couple of good games especially last week getting 100 yards for the first time this season. Same can be said for Laporta who has put together a couple of good games himself lately. Injuries have been kind to him overall so far this season and only three victory points separate him from first place in the Central. His week six score was the best he's put together in quite some time and could be a sign of things to come. And if he can hold off injuries and continue the production he got last week goose will definitely be a contender down the stretch.

Season Grade B-

Prestige WorldWide - 22vp 9-3 record 1101 points

The straight brother of the Hamburg family is averaging just a little over 180 points a game and he has definitely benefited from some scheduling luck. He has a very good 9-3 record but has failed to score over 200 points this season although he did come close with 199 in week 4. That level of success is usually not sustainable in the long term, but I will tell you this,  I am in another league with similar scoring parameters and similar points that Kelly has, and my record is 2-10.  I'll take Kelly's record any day. lol. Gibbs and Cook have been great for him although they had a couple of down weeks. Unfortunately, Kelly got Cook in a trade and has had two down weeks since. Scatteboo has been rookie gold, especially last week. His receivers are his weakest position, not named Garrett Wilson, or Tetairoa McMillan. And now he has an injury to Wilson, which will probably keep him out in week 7. He's been able to get a couple of good streaming matches out of his tight ends, but that well may run dry this week with the return of George kittle, which will really affect Jake Tonges production plus Mark Andrews is on bye this week. His kicker and defense scores overall have been good to great I and Jared goff and Matthew Stafford have been picking up the slack for him with the Joe Burrow injury although, as of this writing Joe Flacco put up a pretty damn good score, so maybe a sign of things to come for him. Or it could be just a one off and Flacco will suck balls next week. You could argue that Kelly's lack of victory points could be a bit concerning, but he still has the second best record in the league and all the momentum is still on Kelley's side

Season Grade B+

HitSquad - 14 vp 4-8 record 1074.98 points

Josh has been averaging right at 180 points a game And one of those games was 220 points, so the average is slightly inflated. He's had one great game, two decent games and 3 duds by his lofty standards. The central division has been eating him alive as he has failed to win one game against them. So what's going on? I was not a fan of the James Cook trade, but it really hasn't affected his score, and Josh has actually gained from it somewhat as cook has not scored over 10 points since the trade and Drake London has been great. Plus, he got much-needed tight end consistency with Tucker craft since Bowers cannot stay healthy. I thought he had gold with Trey Benson when the Connor injury happened, but Benson gets injured almost immediately the next game. Cmac it's great, but all his other running backs are so inconsistent, which is why I think the James Cook trade could hurt him in the long run. I think Woody marks could I be the guy in Houston, but he's still splitting time with Chubb so for now all his running backs are either back ups or in a timeshare. I know I mentioned I wasn't a fan of the James Cook trade, but there's no denying that Drake London gave him some much-needed receiver depth,  Plus he's got Rice returning from suspension so that can only help. Olave is a target hog but can barely score any touchdowns. trade this man to the Giants please.  Outside of one game, Bowers has been kind of a bust at least by his standards and now he's been injured for the last few games. And his quarterbacks have only scored 25 points once and it was in week 4 when he scored 219 points. There's still plenty of season to go and as I've already shown you with my team and two or three good weeks is all it takes to turn it around.

Season Grade C-

Herman C - 20 vp 7-5 record 1113.24 points

Herman is averaging around 180 points a game and that number has been pretty consistent on the scoreboard. He he's only scored under 170 points one time but hasn't scored 200 points yet this year with his high score being 190. And poor Josh has been the central divisions whipping boy, which definitely helps Herman as he's played Josh twice already. I'm sure Hermann will agree that his running backs have been a disappointment overall. Chase Brown hasn't scored 14 points yet this season and only has one touchdown which was in week one. Montgomery is good for a couple of spike weeks here and there and Pollard is the bell cow on the worst team in the NFL arguably, and now he has to split time with Tajae Spears. Love his TE depth, McBride came as advertised, and Fannin has been a pleasant surprise. Injuries have really killed his receivers which is probably his best position . He's been missing Lamb and Pearsall and now at Egbuka got injured last week although he may play this week but it's still killed his score last week. JSN has been his shining star and can do no wrong  and it looks like he will be getting  CeeDee back this week. If he can get his receivers to full strength, that's good news for Herman and bad news for the rest of the division.

Season Grade B

That Asian Guy 21 vp 7-5 record 1047.48 points

Although Eric has failed to score over 200 points this season, his first three weeks were pretty good as he scored 195, 199 and 194 respectively. Since then, he hasn't scored over 160 with the scores of 159, 142 and 156 the last three weeks so his 180 points per game average is definitely miscued. He's definitely going in the wrong direction. The Lamar Jackson injury has definitely killed Derek Henry's production. Baltimore has been trailing lately since the Jackson injury so Henry has not been used nearly as much. Chuba Hubbard was injured for a couple of games but now he may not even be used as the starting running back with Rico Dowdle losing his damn mind in Hubbard's absence. Brian Robinson is nothing more than a valuable handcuff and Meritts inconsistent at best. Mike Evans has been injured for a few games and none of his receivers have really showed any consistency. Keenan Allen was pretty solid the first three weeks but hasn't scored 10 points yet the last three weeks. Matthew Golden is solid, but you're not gonna win many games scoring 10 to 13 points. His tight ends are usually his strongest position, but Juwan Johnson  is doing his best Keenan Allen  impersonation. Brenton strange started getting consistent production, but is now on IR. Ferguson, who has been great for him, may now lose production to CeeDee lamb now that he's back. Eric has definitely taken a step back these last few weeks, but he still only trails the second division Spot by one victory point and if Lamar Jackson returns next week, that could mean more production for Henry.

Season Grade B

Bounty Balls 12 vp 4-8 record 1049 points

Brandon is averaging 175 points a game, which is pretty consistent for him overall. His best score was 203 in week 3, but that was mainly due to Tre Tucker scoring 40 points. And he started off decent enough with a 4-2 Record averaging 185 points through the first three weeks. Since then, he's been winless only averaging 163 points a game. Injuries really haven't been an issue for him. Sure losing Connor sucks but he's benefiting more from injuries overall. Rashad White has provided him some good games while Irving is injured and Waddle is now a legit top receiver with the Tyreek Hill injury. We can all agree. AJ Brown has been a bust so far. We can almost put Barkley on that list as he hasn't topped 20 points or 100 yards yet this season and hasn't nearly been used as a pass catcher nearly as much. Hunter Henry was good early on, but has been used sparingly since week 3. His QBs have been great, namely, Dak Prescott but unfortunately, that's not gonna be enough. Bucky Irving returns soon which will put White back in a back up bro leaving Barkley and Judkins as his two top running backs. Judkins is a great rookie, but is mostly game flow dependent being in a crappy offense. A big spark by the Eagles offense, namely, Barkley, and Brown is what Brandon needs if he wants to turn this slump around.

Season Grade D+

OnionGrass 19 vp 6-6 record 1076.32 points

Travis is averaging right at 180 points a game. He's had one great game (219), three decent games (185 ave) and two crappy games sandwiched in between (148,143).  I think injuries have hurt Travis, the most from any team I've seen so far. Omarion, Hampton, Aaron Jones, Xavier worthy early on in the season, and now puka Nacua is injured. He was able to pick up Vidal, which will definitely fill the void with the Hampton injury for now.  His quarterback squad is not that good, but CJ Stroud just put up a great score last week so may be a sign of things to come. Kamara needs to get traded, which would definitely help Travis as he owns New Orleans back up as well. That would give him two starting running backs, although they've been utilizing Miller a lot more the last few weeks. The Puka injury is definitely going to sting this week plus he's on bye next week. That leaves Nico Collins as his only legit WR weapon. Worthy and Thorton are going to lose snaps to Rashee rice as he makes his return from suspension. There are some uncertainties for Travis moving forward, but no one is running away with the division so there's plenty of time.

Season Grade C+

Dollmaker 12 vp 4-8 record 1072.70 points

Coming into this week India was averaging 165 points a game. She's had one good week scoring 198 points and one decent week scoring 189 points. The other four games she's only averaging 152 points. Her running backs are by far the worst. No Bucky Irving since week 4 which has left Nick Chubb has her top running back. Ouch. Tyrone Tracy wasn't exactly doing much as the top running back and now he's more than likely regulated to back up duties as Cam Skattebo has been killing it as the staring RB. She probably has the best TE squads in the league even with the Njoku injury and Patrick Mahomes has been surprisingly good this year so far. Jefferson has been underachieving, although he was targeted 22 times the last two games combined so hopefully he's turned a corner. All her other receivers are inconsistent providing spike weeks here and there. Irving cannot get back soon enough for her, but even then I'm not sure if that's gonna be enough.

Season Grade D+

Alief Gamblers 3 vp 1-11 record 882 points.

Billy is averaging 148 points a game. His best game was 188 and if you take that game away he's averaging 139 points a game. The one great thing that has come out of this is the emergence of Rico Dowdle. There's no way he goes back to a back up role as good as he's been the last two weeks. Jordan Mason has emerged as the starting running back for Minnesota with the Aaron Jones injury. He provides decent enough production, so hopefully he does not lose much work to Jones when he returns. Evan Ingram has provided a couple of decent games lately but Billy has no depth in TE. Brian Thomas has been better lately but he was terrible to start the season. DeVonta Smith has only had two decent games. Calvin Ridley is injured but other than week five he hasn't really done much. 1--11 is a tough hill to climb but there are still seven weeks to go. He'll need his top guys to start producing and will definitely need a little luck sprinkled in as well.
