Me and India just wrapped up a convention in Louisiana over the weekend. It was much slower than anticipated, but that happens sometimes. It was still a great weekend though with us winning a grand at the casino plus just having a good time overall. One of the pet peeves me, and some of the vendors were talking about are some potential customers just spouting out random facts about games that don't even matter to us. I say potential customers, but most of them never buy anything. They just show up yelling, random facts that we all try to be nice about but in the back of our mind, we just want to tell them to go away.

I'll give you a couple of examples.

Me - hey bro, how are you doing today?

Potential customer Picks up Genghis Khan for the NES - man, Genghis Khan that's a great game. Did you know that the designer of that game was a Shaolin monk who collected cockroaches in Ashanti in Guilan back in the early 20th century.

Me nodding along - wow, I did not know that. that's interesting.

Spoiler alert it's not interesting.

Potential customer picks up donkey Kong for the NES - man, donkey, Kong, I love that game. did you know the designer of that game was legally married to a Mediterranean Sicilian miniature donkey until the corrupt Mexico judicial system, forced him to divorce and pay a hefty alimony?

Me nodding along - wow, I did not know that. That's interesting.

Spoiler alert it's not interesting.

Potential customer picks up, Rushin attack for the NES - man, Russian attack I love that game. Did you know that designer of that game was raised by a pack of rabid dogs in the jungle outside the Chiang Mai Thailand?

Me nodding along - Do you know who loves that game? India right here next to me? She has plenty to say about that.

I leave And then I get murdered by India later. Maybe a little overdramatic, but you get the point. This guy obviously doesn't get the hint as I have red zone right in front of me and clearly not paying attention. Luckily, the guy left and India let me live.

And lucky for me. There are no more conventions until February of next year so that's plenty of time to focus on fantasy foosball.

This is always my favorite time of the year. Playoff scenarios galore. Familiar faces? Underdogs? There's been a ton of injuries this season, so it's really more about who survived. Regardless, 8 teams must advance to the playoffs, so who's going who has a chance and who's gonna be the underdog? We got two weeks of the regular season left and two weeks of eight seed chaos so let's find out.

Surprisingly, not much has changed in the regular seeding, only the eight seed with a surprising team owner.

K-Express - Kevin has been rolling with only one bad week since week five and a statement win last week with 228 points. Sure he'll be modest and tell you that his receivers are banged up but that's like him bitching that there's too many 50s and 100's in his wallet. Sorry Kevin, I don't feel bad for you at all. Kevin clinches the north division and leads in points by almost 73. Congrats on the north division, Kevin.

Romosexuals -  Jason rebounds from week 10 with a decent showing this week. He still maintains the two seed spot but three other teams may have something to say about that, including myself. Hopefully Ja'Marr Chase spitting competition doesn't hurt him in week 12 but it's not like he helped him much last week anyway.

HitSquad - Josh rebounds nicely this week and gains some much needed ground on Hermann for the Central division crown. He still has not secured a playoff spot because the central division is so tight but a 3 victory point swing should Secure him no less than a seven seed.

Herman C - Herman still hasn't been able to re-create his week seven magic, which is his only week scoring over 200 points but he's been able to hold on to the Central division by the skin of his teeth. He too, has not been able to clinch a playoff spot yet, but a 2 victory point swing is all he needs for a seven seed at least. Obviously, he is thinking division crown and even more importantly a bye week or 2.

Prestige Worldwide - Kelly got really close to 200 points this week but unfortunately for him, it only resulted in a split. Fortunately, he did gain some ground on Eric, and only needs a three victory point swing to guarantee him a playoff spot.

Kaep Killaz -  Goose takes a big step back with season ending surgery to JK Dobbins, and an injury to Josh Jacobs, although that injury is not nearly as severe and Jacobs could potentially play this week. He also loses Sam Laporta, although his trade with Jason definitely benefited him as Christian Watson puts up 20 points. He is very much alive for the seven seed as he only trails Travis by three victory points.

Mario Luigis - it's been a few years since I clinched a playoff spot this early. I'm also very proud of my Undertaker like playoff streak of 10 straight years which potentially could never be replicated. As happy as I am of being in the playoffs, I'm smelling blood in the water. I'm tied with Josh for the 4 seed and a first round bye. But more importantly, I gained one victory point on Jason for the all elite two round bye and 2nd seed. Could be a photo finish in the south division.

That Asian Guy -  Another rough week for Eric, which all, but eliminates him in the north division, but surprisingly enough, he still has a good shot at the seven seed, because Travis only gained one victory point last week.

Dollmaker -   India has averaged 177 points the last two weeks which surprisingly  is enough for an eight seed. Plus, she may get Bucky Irving and Kayshawn Boutte back this week. Could that be enough for an eight seed birth?

Bounty Balls -  More of the same for Brandon this week. Although he's not doing himself any favors by starting two players under the league limit, and failing to put one on IR.

Alief Gamblers -  Another tough week for Billy, but he's definitely not helping himself by not starting a second IDP. It really wouldn't have mattered this week but the next two weeks will.

OnionGrass - Travis takes a step back this week with two losses although it doesn't hurt him too much as he actually gains one victory point over Eric for the seven seed. Eric actually leads in points so Travis will need some double wins and not leave it to chance.
